I will take Barack Obam the community organizer any day over John McCain or Sarah Palin. McCain/Palin are so out of touch with everyday American's economic needs. We are suffering and it seems to me that they could careless. There are over one million homes in foreclosure, huge job loss and so on. McCain/Palin willingness to stay in this war and possibly start another one with Russia scares me to death. I am beyond tired of hearing about our soldiers coming home in coffins. For the soldiers that do make it back they are so broken mentally and physically if not both.

McCain is running to be head of the federal government, but he appears to believe it's the private sector that should most encourage citizens to serve.

Why is Sen. McCain presidential campaign seems to be base on military service, when the world yearns for peace? Is it a camouflage for lack of real intelligence/intellect? America seems to be do better when its president doesn't not come from a military background. It's truly time time a America to move beyond a war based economy, in order to function within today's global arena. I hope that we, American Citizen, will ellect a man who what it to pursue and achieve a REAL EDUCATION that is fully suited for today's world climate yearning for America to lead, again. The world needs America to be re-energized and Sen. McCain is well suited for the 20th century, not the 21st century; however well decorated he may be as an American Citizen. BRAVO for him, but American an energized President with a global view....

How does senator McCain's economic ideology differ from that of senator Obama? Both favor a mixed economy over a free market approach.

McCain is clearly running against McCain. He had nearly three decades and countless opportunities to truly change Washington.

Did anyone else catch McCain's comment that it is easy for him to divorce himself from everyday American lives in Washington. All the more reason why community oranizers are important today, and all the more reason why McCain is truly out of touch with America and Americans in general.

    Mr. McCain,
Are you saying that because Mr. Obama didn't agree to go along with you on the town hall sort of debates, is the reason you have allowed your campaign to become so negative?

I just saw a clip of Sarah Palin with Charlie Gibson, as he asked her about the Bush Doctrine. She seemed a bit annoyed, as if she thought Gibson was trying to trick her with one of those "Who's the President of Molvania" questions.

However, I don't think it's a setup to ask someone running to be a heartbeat away from the presidency to have an opinion about Bush's very significant and very well known doctrine of preemptive strikes. It's only one of the most revolutionary and confrontational positions of modern times. It's only what got us into war in Iraq.

He's talking all over the place, then he says service is the key, yet Obamas service is not good or is stupid, like they said at the GOP covention!

Why cant you guys just play the video of him and Palin putting Obama down for serving, while hes talking about how serving is going to save this country!

I think he did. This forum so far is a commercial When are they going to hit McCain for allowing so many people at the convention to question or negatively comment on Barack's service including Palin who tried to compare her Mayorial duties as being more. Isn't that town 20 million in debt from her leadership

He talks a lot about outside organizations, I wonder if he understands that the government should be a partner with these organizations.

    In response to Bay Buchanan,
    Republican Strategist

McCain idea of change is to get a female on the ticket with the same old ideas that he has had for last twenty yrs. That's some change there.

How can MaCain sit there and talk about service and community building when his running mate Piglin, Imeant Palin does not respect community organizers??.Personally as a future social worker, I was offended by her comment downing the important roles and duties that a person who organizes community programs and resources have.

OK bump her. Did I just hear McCain say that he did NOT have to deal with day to day issues of Americans- like mayors do??? Come on America, wake up! In the words of the Obama: He just doesn't get it.
