Doesn't know what the Bush Doctrine is.

Only visited Mexico and Canada - on vacations.

Visited troops (no foreign leaders) in Kuwait.

"Can see Russia" from her home state.

Seriously, people. Does this person really have what it takes to negotiate with foreign leaders?

She may be great at shooting the breeze with a Wal-Mart greeter, but we are talking about being a heartbeat away from the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES here! To all Palin lovers - snap out of it!!

Maybe if we were in a time of solid world peace would it be OK to have someone with ZERO foreign policy/relations credibility, but that time is not now.

It is absolutely unbelievable that the American voter is so confused by this presidential race.

An astounding 4 trillion dollar increase in the national debt - now 9 TRILLION dollars!

It threatens all of us left unchecked - let's vote to fix this.

Palin is being used, and willingly going along with the shell game being played on the country.

Most of us have been to more foriegn countries than Paylin.

The minimum requirement
For running for office she meets, as most of us do.

I would rather have more intelligence than less, more education than less, and a better plan than a worse plan.

If we apply that LOGIC, we will all benefit from the outcome. We expect this, and we are taught to strive for this.

This election WILL be a referendum on the state of mind of the American people.

I personally believe more people will vote based on choosing the best qualified candidate.

I don't believe the less educated, worse plan for pulling this country out of this nose dive will succeed.

Popularity, fiscal ignorance, and a desire to continue trying to occupy every country who doesn't accept our way of life is not the answer.
The USA is not going to rid the world of a mindset of individuals estimated to be as large as 1/3 of the U.S. population.

We are not going to put Americans back to work by adding CAFTA to the job vacuum.

If you seriously consider these simple points, you will know in your heart who you should vote for. What happens in the voting booth is all up to you.

Republicans can never take the blame for anything! The last 8 years is proof of that. Sara Palin did not have a scripted speach in front of her this time and it really showed. However, Republicans will blame it all on Charles Gibson. It was not Palin fault she could not handle some basic questions about what kind of Vice President she would be. What a typical Rush Limbagh like reaction to this interview. Rush, Hannity and the rest of the conservative talking heads have taught Republicans that it is so much easier to shift or deflect blame for republican failures on others. Nothing is ever their fault. The economy, the mortgage crisis, unemployment, Iraq, inflation is all someone elses creation. Never mind the fact that republicans have been in charge of all components of government the last 8 years. They will blame the democrates because they had a one vote majority in Congress. They don't want you to know that they have either filibustered or had Bush veto any changes proposed by the democrates. It is time to vote out the irresponsible republicans from the White House, Vote out the obstructionist republicans from the Senate, and anywhere else you can boot them out from. Unless you are happy with the state of our Nation. Vote for a new direction. Vote out the failure and incompetance of the Republican party.

LOL...these guys are the biggest liars in a campaign I have seen in a long time. Palin tried to tie those personal trips to Mexico and Canada like they were trips on Government business when Charlie asked her that question the other night. I knew he should have asked if they were personal trips!!! LOL...she is a FAKE!!!

I think there are a few other questions that should be asked, when it comes to Sarah Palin...
How many states has she visited prior to her nomination?
How much time has she spent in Washington DC?
My guess would be not many or much.

I lived in Alaska for a year and a half and during that time, I realized how out of touch with the 'Lower 48' many of the people and policies are there. Do we really want someone talking foriegn policy with other nations that may not even know her own country very well?

I haven't heard any mention of how or if she would be able to adjust to life in DC. The adjustment to a move to the "Lower 48" for Alaskans is often a challenge and Govenor Palin didn't even want to move to the City when she was elected as Alaska's Govenor. How are she and her family (most of which have never lived outside of a 7,000 person town), going to adjust and will she be ready to run a country under those conditions? The move out of the tundra and into the heat of DC has the potential to take it's toll on anyone.

Remember that the VP is a representative of our Nation and should be able to represent us well. Can you imagine the laughing stock that the US could become, with the beauty queen and the self-proclaimed "First Dude" (with no college education that I am aware of) representing us at UN and other international functions?

is it me, or does anyone else realize that Palin is a liar. I really don't think that John Mccain did his homework when he chose her. He just wanted a pretty face, not someone that was actually the best choice, with experience. if anyonne get a chance they should go to adn.com( ankorage daily news) and see how many anti-Palin supporters from her state there is and all the lies that she has told the people of Alaska, and how many of them don't support her. If she was so great she would have many more supporters from Alaska. I even read that her mother-in -law said she isn't sure if she wants to vote for her. If she was such a great law maker than her mom- in -law wouldn't have a doubt of who to vote for.

It saddens me that McCain (who at one time seemed to have unshakable integrity in the political arena) has now resorted to lying and smeer tactics just to win. If he really believes in putting country first, he should at least have enough respect for his fellow countrymen to tell the truth.

While Govenor Palin may be good for the GOP, she is no good for the country. There are too many inconsistencies with her record from global warming, her trip to Iraq, earmark spending, and the infamous Bridge to Nowhere. The Republican base only began to rally around Senator McCain after her nomination, which questions the base's loyalty to their Presidential candidate. What frightens me is if Senator McCain is elected, Govenor Palin would be the next person in line should something happen to Mccain. She is far too under educated to lead the United States. Her selection appears to be a ploy on the part of the McCain campaign to win at all cost, even at the expense of the American people. I hear more ploitical rhetoric fron the GOP candidates, more devisive remarks about Senator Obama, and less specifics on how McCain and Palin would lead the Country into the future. We've gone from Swiftboat politics to Lipstick politics and I'm not willing to pucker up and kiss our future goodbye

Is this for real?? It is like bad joke! They must think the people of this country are so stupid. And if they get elected, then I have little faith that things can or will get better.

On two separate trips, I have been to Mexico, St. Maarten and St. Thomas. I guess I have as much, if not more foreign experience than she does. Point is, it is one lie or complete exaggerating so as not to even resemble the truth after another with these people. Give me a break!

Oh gee, yet another lie Palin has told. This is getting old and is utterly disgraceful. Her interview with Gibson made one thing clear, Gibson would be a better VP! She used the words 'gonna' and 'somethin' quite frequently. Does the think using slang is appropriate as the prospective VP of our country? She sounded like a moron and never answered the questions unless Gibson really pushed her to give a straight answer. The smoke and mirrors will only carry you so far, Sarah. It's time to go back to Alaska and do what you do best - eat mooseburgers.

Sarah Palin claims to be a Soccer Mom, but none of her kids play Soccer!!!!

Which kid is suppose to be playing Soccer???
Track in the Army?
Bristol knocked up with a baby?
The 4 month old with Down Syndrome?
The girl that's around 6 years old?
Or the other young teen girl, who is too busy taking care of the baby, because her mom is never around???

So what else do the McCain/Palin Handlers have to hide at first, only to reveal later on when the going gets tough for their team? Did John actually know that his running mate is not being too honest about her claims such as her trip to Iraq to visit the troops? If Sarah is an agent of change as she claims she is, who will shake up Washington if she gets there, why does she allow herself to be muzzled by the political handlers of her party who admitted "...this is our campaign and we will do what we think is best..." or something to that effect?
As a woman, I am so insulted by her meek submission to the handlers running the campaign, who, no doubt will run Washington if this team is elected.
I am scared for the next four years...
But there is hope. There are more intelligent and concerned citizens in this country.

Sarah Palin is campaigning across the Country!
Todd Palin is in the middle of a Snow Moble Race!

Who in the World is taking care of their 4 month old child with Down Syndrome???? Who???

Who was there when Bristol Palin got pregnant while 16???

If you can't take care of your own family, you shouldn't be telling everyone else what to do with theirs!!! And if you can't deal with the Problems in your own Family, then you definetely can't deal with the Problems of the Country or the World!!!

Pain, Go back to Alaska and be the Soccer Mom you Claim to Be!!!!

She is another Bush. Full of lies. She has no understanding of foreign policy. It is obvious that she has been faking and winging through the interview. Letting her become V.P. and possiblly take over presidency is like the U.S. letting a blind lead the nation & world. We must stop this.

We already got a government that lied us into a war in iraq, why do we need mccain and peelin?are we that dumb?
A campaign built on lies is a bad sign, other countries are watching us and this will not be good for foreign policies in the future, what foriegn government will trust these guys, after what we got now, it is really a shame that americans are clinging to known liars.
Of course a woman would be good for the ticket, but not this one, after all the known lies,if mccain should win and something happen to him which foreign power can peelin call on who knows her.
Now i do not want to bash her,but the reality is staring us in our face and is like we are blinded by lies.
WOE UNTO THOSE WHO CALL EVIL GOOD AND GOOD EVIL!

McCain doesn't need to lie to win...what happened to the "Straight Talk Express"? Maybe he should just stick to talking about what he has planned for the future instead of trying to bring his opponent down with Rove/Schmidt tactics - which, lets face it, brings the whole country down.

OK....so the Alaskan governor's aide did not know what they were talking about. Governor Pailin never claimed she was there, so you ask a confused staffer and now make a big case. Hey CNN, we know you have never made a mistake by one of your staff.

Wildly inflated crowd estimates. The estimates I have seen in the Washington Post for the Fairfax, VA were in the 15,000 range. Did Senator Obama's' estimate of 10,000 at the Nissan Pavillion were also 'wildly inflated as I saw a number of 8,400. Were the Nielsen ratings also inflated?

Can you guys do a fair job? It is very apparent that you favor one candidate. You have not asked the same questions or question with the same intensity Senator Obama's 'problems' You have taken now longer to question some silly questions about Governor Pailin (she sold the plane for a loss...when was the last time anyone sold an airplane or a car for a profit?) than the time you spent questioning Senator Obama about Reverend Wright, about his 'terrorist' connection, his home purchase, etc? Your vitrol at being wrong in guessing Senator McCain's choice of Governor Pailin, plus your wanting to be 'cool' in backing an African American candidate (even an inexperienced one) instead of looking at the issues. If Governor Pailin is unqualified, then Senator Obama is unqualified for the same reasons (two years experience), if Senator McCain is 'old school', part of the Washington establishment, etc, then Senator Biden is also from the same cloth...what 'change' are we talking about. When Senator Obama made his choice fpr VP, he went back to the 'establishment', when Senator McCain made his choice for VP, he went for the most popular governor in the US, who happens to be a female...now who proved they are seeking change?

CNN and other news media (both liberal and conservative) seem to be in a feeding frenzy, just to get higher ratings. Both campaigns have made errors and given out wrong/incorrect/distorted information. Your job is to report the true facts and not editorialize. As Sgt Friday used to say "just the facts" ....we the people can make our own mind, without your patronizing editorials

The Republicans and McCain where attacking Obama for not having returned to Iraq for a period of 900 or so days until his recent summer visit there. Now we learn that Palin has never even been inside of Iraq. She has never seen the situation on the ground there. What a double standard! The media isn't being unfair to Palin, if anything they aren't scrutinizing her record enough. Her candidacy is just one big deception!

I'm sick of all this lying and manipulation. Trying to fool the American people with smoke screens and distractions. It's reprehensible and John McCAin should be ashamed of his dishonorable VP pick and sleazy campaign. What happened to "Country First". What a joke!

Someone close to McCain was asked what made Palin qualify for foreign policy credentials. And the person said Alaska is in close proximity to Russia. Can you believe that? The fact that I can stand in New Jersy and see the sky scrappers in New York doesn't mean I qualify as a mayor for New York. Stand in Alaska and look toward Russia and what you see is polar bears. Putin and others live in Moscow.

Mission Accomplished: More GOP distortions for rhetoric and sound bites. Then, CNN and the rest of the media sheep go on and report it. Why haven't we heard anything about Palin's pastor and religion? Rev. Wright was in every news cycle for two months after Super Tuesday and he's far more mainstream. GOP, bring on the lies and sleeze, because its all words and no substance... more of the McSame. What qualities does Palin bring to the ticket? Oh, yah, ultra right wacko.
