Palin: Obama probably wishes he'd picked Clinton as VP

Palin said Friday she thought Obama was probably having second thoughts on his VP pick.

Palin said Friday she thought Obama was probably having second thoughts on his VP pick.

(CNN) - Sarah Palin said Barack Obama could be wishing he had asked Hillary Clinton to join him on the Democratic presidential ticket.

"I think he's regretting not picking her now, I do," the Republican VP nominee told Charles Gibson of ABC News. "What determination and grit and even grace through some tough shots that were fired her way. She handled those well."

Watch: Palin says Obama regrets not picking Clinton

Palin herself has said that Hillary Clinton had been “whining” about sexism during the primary season. "When I hear a statement like that coming from a woman candidate with any kind of perceived whine about that excess criticism, or maybe a sharper microscope put on her, I think, 'Man, that doesn't do us any good, women in politics, or women in general, trying to progress in this country,' " she said at a media forum earlier this year.

But when the Alaska governor first hit the trail after being named John McCain’s running mate, she made remarks at campaign events praising the New York senator, though she stopped making the comments after drawing consistently negative reactions from GOP crowds.

Clinton herself has largely avoided discussing Palin publicly since the governor's selection as McCain's VP.

You can go home now, we don't need you to win this election. Palin will be President. Hillary is no Palin

Palin is such a joke. Wow the GOP is grasping. and did you see the poll numbers so much for McCain's bounce. The state numbers present an even grimmer look for the GOP. Nasty ads and negativity only work for a short time to get people's attention. if you don't have anyting to offer you start just looking mean and desperate.

I think the Ms. Palin is trying to guess what Obama might be thinking! It appears Obama and the Democratic party are happy with his choice of Biden and I'm sure Hillary will have a very nice position probably one to with improving health care in this country! We all are proud of Hillary and her accomplishments! Gov.Palin does not even come close to Hillary, Biden,McCain, Or Obama. I wonder if Romney supporters are happy with Palin as choice for VP he was much more qualified? True democrats will not disappoint Hillary! Palin is opposite of what Hillary has fought for for many years! Good luck to both Obama and McCain since it's ultimately one of these candidates who will be our next President !

it must amazing to be so smart to know what other people are thinking. Here is a person who said that if necessary we need to start a war with Russia, Iran and Pakistan in a matter of a few minutes. And Americans think she is the NEXT sending from God. Brilliant. I feel so fortunate living in a country that is so well grounded.

It was obvious that that would have been the winning ticket, but Obama seemed pretty intimidated by Hillary. He didn't even vet her. He went as vanilla as conceivably possible with Biden. Judgement again...

I'm sure he is wishing he had picked Hillary, he left the back door wide open for McCain to walk Sarah right through. Serve him right if he loses' strange how Karma works after allowing his people to call the Clintons racist and puting them in a box not able to say anything because it was a code word, now they find– they are in the same box, because of sexism. Poetic Justice–McCain/Palin Sorry Hillary

If Americans are dumb, fearful, racist, close-minded, greedy, ignorant, or lazy enough to re-elect the Republican party – then you deserve whatever horrors follow.

If you think the Iraq war, $4/gallon gas and the mortgage crisis is worst of it – then McCain and Palin are going to show you GWB and Cheney don't have a stranglehold on ruining America.

    The world watches you...

She's amazing. Now she can read the mind of Sen. Obama. See, this is who we should look for to lead the country, a small town mayor and governor of a state near Russia who knows that Iraq is linked to 9/11 and who is unfamiliar with the doctrines of the President who has helped shape her world views. Let us not forget wolf killer. What unbelievable brilliance. Are you kidding me? Is Palin actually for real or simply a Neo-Con drone?

well another smug remark form a smug ladie. Why don't you talk about something inportent for a change ? Like why did gas go up to $5 a gallon yesterday even before the storm hit Texas. Your fearless leader said he wood look into it just this mornning. He said there would no price galging. Yah right//////. Sense you are a energy expert tell us why they buy the gas cheaper a month before and sell it to us three times higher. I hope the big oil pays for the way they treat the little people .This may be GODS FURY on big oil . I hope so you HOKEY PUTT. GOD HELP US ALL IF THE GOP GET IN OFFICE

Palin – didn't you call Hilliary a whiner? and your McCain laughed with his supporters when they called Hillary a "B@#ch. And now you are sympathizing with her?

You are a liar – Palin and we, women are not stupid to fall for you. From the The View, I am pretty sure you realised that only 1 out of 6 women are supporting you. That is sad. I feel bad for you.

Obama made the right VP choice for our country by choosing someone to complement his abilities; McCain made the politically expedient choice by choosing someone without enough knowledge of domestic or world affairs to be trusted with the Presidency.

Wow, it's one thing to discuss what you stand for (and what would that be Governor??) but it takes a special kind of cattiness and sleaze to continue to pretend you know what someone else thinks.

Don't worry about Obama or Hillary, Governor. Clean out your own closet first. I can't wait to see what we find in there next.

Hopefully Obama sees this as just more bait and leaves it alone. It has been obvious from the time McSAME got the GOP nod that he would not be able to handle Obama. This is going to be so nasty.

What a two-faced, say anything and then change it later dirt bag this politician, Palin, is. Flip flop on everything she says.

Done nothing, accomplished nothing, sent a city into debt, abused people, covering up scandals, and ripped off tax payers loser.

Don't like this VP at all. A complete waste of air, and space on this planet.

Is it sexist to say I want a Pilot flying this plane?

CNN supports McCain/Palin. They print this nonsense instead of a real commentary on the interviews and the issues. Where's the story about her not even knowing what the Bush Doctrine is? The lady who might have our nuclear codes doesn't even know the entire underlying premise of our international policy mistakes for the past 7 years and you print this?

This is just another stab to get Hillary votersn by this appalling woman.
I have to give her credit for some political savvy, but I don't think she is best for this country.
I hope on November 5th she will be packing her bags back to Wasila... just don't hit an icegberg!
