Palin: Obama probably wishes he'd picked Clinton as VP

Palin said Friday she thought Obama was probably having second thoughts on his VP pick.
Palin said Friday she thought Obama was probably having second thoughts on his VP pick.

(CNN) - Sarah Palin said Barack Obama could be wishing he had asked Hillary Clinton to join him on the Democratic presidential ticket.

"I think he's regretting not picking her now, I do," the Republican VP nominee told Charles Gibson of ABC News. "What determination and grit and even grace through some tough shots that were fired her way. She handled those well."

Watch: Palin says Obama regrets not picking Clinton

Palin herself has said that Hillary Clinton had been “whining” about sexism during the primary season. "When I hear a statement like that coming from a woman candidate with any kind of perceived whine about that excess criticism, or maybe a sharper microscope put on her, I think, 'Man, that doesn't do us any good, women in politics, or women in general, trying to progress in this country,' " she said at a media forum earlier this year.

But when the Alaska governor first hit the trail after being named John McCain’s running mate, she made remarks at campaign events praising the New York senator, though she stopped making the comments after drawing consistently negative reactions from GOP crowds.

Clinton herself has largely avoided discussing Palin publicly since the governor's selection as McCain's VP.

All could could manage for her acceptance speech was a storybook narrative and snarky putdowns. Not one policy position or nuts and bolts procedures to lead anything. Are we supposed to trust her, at a heartbeat away from the presidency to possess the diplomacy and statesmanship to guide America on the world stage? I don't think so.

Paylin is making a huge mistake presuming to think and speak for Senator Obama. Her true immaturity is shining through.

Palin's incompetence is not due to her gender. It's due to her ignorance and inexperience, coupled with her willingness to be deceitful, dishonest, and misrepresent the facts to the American people. We don't need more corruption in Washington.

Obama may or may not regret his choice. But at least Biden is not surround by controversy like Mrs Palin is. I was the biggest Hillary supporter out there, & not particularly too crazy about Obama. But I'd vote for him over McCain anyday. Just because McCain picks a woman to woo the HRC supporters, doesn't mean we are stupid enough to follow the first woman on the ticket. Please give us more credit than that.

Somber and pouty Charlie asked the question...Sarah Palin answered. You could see Sarah Palin couldn't get a read on Charles Gibson as he was trying to come across like he was questioning a little girl. For that reason the interview made me cringe for Charlie Gibson as he looked like the face of 'liberal'.

Look Palin, just because McCain picked you because he wanted a female on his ticket just to pander to the voters doesn't mean Obama regrets not stooping to McCains level

I bet Barack wishes he was man enough to choose a woman to stand by his side, instead of behind him. I bet now he wishes he would have chosen a different VP. BIDEN IS BORING! A women and now an ex-democrat

Of course you regret Palen even if Obama does not... as Joey the Shark is going to take a big ole bite out of little uninformed Barracuda your in trouble and so isnt your party. Joe Biden is a well informed man who is finally getting his due. He fully deserves this attention and his name on the big ticket. Depth of experience and wisdom trumps fake anger/sexism/values lie to us more Palin and McCain oh im sorry who is at the top of your ticket again?... who do the crowds come to see hahaha not you Johnny....sad but lets see what else.

Over confident Republicans, over nervous Democrats but all for NOT lol :P We got this in the bag so keep your chin up all the way to the White House as we help make history and restore our place in the world.

Polls show its even but polls only take account of people who participated in the last 2 election cycles and does not take into account all the new registered people or cell phone owners.
Polls of Congress that show the lowest rating: Remember all the republicans mad about loosing vote say bad job congress. All the democrats that wanted war to end but it did not say bad job congress. This does not mean they are against the Democratic Congress. Shows they are mad at the remaining republicans holding up progress that we are trying to make.

If you take McCain out of Congress you rob us of one of the only Republicans we can work with, if he is President then you still have the same old, tired, do nothing, cry louder then any other party republicans in office.

My my my, aren't we just a wee bit presumptuous Mrs. Palin? I guess you're too naive to realize that if Barack had picked, and Hilary accepted his offer of the VP nomination YOU would not have been selected by McCain.

Obama has made the right choice. McShame hasn't. That's why OBAMA/BIDEN WILL WIN this election. As to Palin... :) She should really start preparing for the trial and take care of her own family.

Isn't it funny how these republicans can say one thing today an then tomorrow they critisize someone else for the same thing? Sarah didnt like when hillary complained about sexism but today she is "whining" about the same thing. Sarah you guys are going to loose whether hillary is there or not.

Sarah Palin go grill some moose burgers and shut up.

Noone wants to hear your amateur critique of the Democratic nominees.

You might want to reconsider the choice of your running mate - Grumpy.

    How interesting:
"Palin herself has said that Hillary Clinton had been “whining” about sexism during the primary season. "When I hear a statement like that coming from a woman candidate with any kind of perceived whine about that excess criticism, or maybe a sharper microscope put on her, I think, 'Man, that doesn't do us any good, women in politics, or women in general, trying to progress in this country,' " she said at a media forum earlier this year."

Keep this quote handy. It'll be useful to remind Gov. Palin after her running mate and she start whining about the legitimate, policy-oriented, tough questions asked during her interviews. Oh, wait - I meant "interview." She's had only one – and judging from her dismal performance, not likely to be engaging in another.

If Obama would have picked Clinton, Palin would not be running with McCain. Palin should thank Obama for giving her 15 minutes of fame.
McCain has had the luxury of making decisions after Obama makes his decisions first. Plus isn't this old news lets talk about the issues! Opps you don't know anything about that right Palin?
