Palin: Obama probably wishes he'd picked Clinton as VP

Palin said Friday she thought Obama was probably having second thoughts on his VP pick.
Palin said Friday she thought Obama was probably having second thoughts on his VP pick.

(CNN) - Sarah Palin said Barack Obama could be wishing he had asked Hillary Clinton to join him on the Democratic presidential ticket.

"I think he's regretting not picking her now, I do," the Republican VP nominee told Charles Gibson of ABC News. "What determination and grit and even grace through some tough shots that were fired her way. She handled those well."

Watch: Palin says Obama regrets not picking Clinton

Palin herself has said that Hillary Clinton had been “whining” about sexism during the primary season. "When I hear a statement like that coming from a woman candidate with any kind of perceived whine about that excess criticism, or maybe a sharper microscope put on her, I think, 'Man, that doesn't do us any good, women in politics, or women in general, trying to progress in this country,' " she said at a media forum earlier this year.

But when the Alaska governor first hit the trail after being named John McCain’s running mate, she made remarks at campaign events praising the New York senator, though she stopped making the comments after drawing consistently negative reactions from GOP crowds.

Clinton herself has largely avoided discussing Palin publicly since the governor's selection as McCain's VP.

I would call that a snippy or catty remark....You of all people shot some of those negative snips at Hillary....now you are more or less saying HA HA HA Hillary, I got your spot............You aren't getting my vote....you are being used by McNut so he thinks he can get all the Hillary voters, that is the only reason he picked you...wake up....

Why don't John McNut let you travel on your own??? Why must you be with him at all times??? Don't he trust you when you are talking??? Is he afraid that you might tell the TRUTH???? Or is it because he can't draw the crowds when he is alone???? I sure in the world be asking all kinds of questions as a female....Looks like the GOOD OLD BOY thing to me, he is the one running for President.....

all politics aside for a moment. as parents, the clintons did everything in their power to protect chelsie. however, you and your husband and mccain, DELIBERATELY exploited your family. you yourself admitted you answered mccain's cry for help instantyly. and then cried "off limits." that was the first reason i disliked you so much.you are no hilliary, never will come close. you are letting yourself be used, you alone made the decision. if mccain wins, you will be religated to a back closet and put on parade when it suits president rove and his lackey, mccain. you deserve what you get.

After listening to Sarah, which was hard to do, I'm so glad Barack picked Joe Biden. Joe is a serious partner for Barack, not a gimmick like Sarah.

If I were someone who had to read a script, and pump her fist to make a point, I wouldn't say very much. I'd go back in hiding.

She's right! Obama did make a mistake not picking Clinton. The number of women that have gravitated to the McCain/Palin ticket has been growing and will continue to grow because of perceived unfair tactics from the Obama campaign during the primaries, and the negligence of the DNC for not castigating the media when they hammered Hillary. Not to mention their bullying tactics calling for Hillary to step aside for the nomination as early as February!

What did they expect? That women like getting battered and bullied? Couple that with the arrogance and condescending attitude AFTER the primary by Obama saying: "We're not worried, they'll come back to the fold come November".

    In your face Obama!

Shameful and disengenuous. Ms Palin is a black mark on Women's history.

I'll bet John McCain is regretting letting the Rove/Bush crew talk him into picking her over his friend Joe Lieberman. History will say the Straight Talk Express rolled off the cliff that day.

From the mouth of Palin about McCain

One of the many bizarre moments in the questioning by ABC News’s Charles Gibson was when Ms. Palin, the governor of Alaska, excused her lack of international experience by sneering that Americans don’t want “somebody’s big fat résumé maybe that shows decades and decades in that Washington establishment where, yes, they’ve had opportunities to meet heads of state.”

And we should care what she thinks because?

    Because he's proven herself a bold-faced liar?

Because she thinks the dinosaurs are make-believe stuff in toy stores?

Because she thinks Global Warming is just some game made up by Al Gore?

Because she says whatever Bush's people whisper in her ear?

Becuase the media has decided the electorate should decide matters based on People magazine stlyle reporting rather than real news? Yes.

Not a very bad Disney movie as Matt Damon said but a very scary Disney movie....only it is not a movie folks ... this is real!!!

Hillary is everything Palin is not-experienced, knowledgeable about the world outside Alaska, a lady and a fighter at the same time, and honest. Palin lied in her first national speech, and she continues to lie about her record and her plans. The worst things I have heard her say are concerning Iraq. She made a snide comment in her acceptance speech about Obama being concerned about a suspect's rights. (Ya know, like the Constitution guarantees?) And then in her speech to the National Guard THIS WEEK she told them they were on a mission (God's?) to take out the people who planned the attacks (in Iraq!) This connection has been debunked for years now. Makes me really wonder about her intelligence or even curiosity about what is real in the world. I really tried to like her, but she really is pretty clueless, and I think she would be dangerous in the White House.

I am a Hillary Clinton supporter and Palin is wrong. If Obama had chosen Hillary he would have been in her shadow, just as Palin is to John McSame and he will regret his pick if he can't get out of her shadow. Right now it seems Palin and Obama are our canidates and John and Joe are the secondary canidates. Boy what would have been Palin won the nomination instead of McSame.

If she were truly sincere about her praises for Hillary Clinton, she would continue to praise her achievements regardless of the negativity she received from gop crowds. It just shows that she is another politician looking to get votes. Not the bi-partisian, reformer she claims to be .

Its ok for her campaign to claim sexism, but not for hillary???...she doesn't agree with hillary on any issue, and she thought she and her campaign are whiners??? I can't possibly fathom any reason for hillary supporters to support Palin

I think for someone who didn't know what the VP did a few months ago to suddenly present herself as an expert on what the other candidate is thinking is pretty cocky.

I am really turned off by her. How about showiing some humility instead of trying to pretend you are an expert, which by all accounts she is not.

McCain and Palin do not even know what the jobs of the future are going to be. They know zero about technology and where its heading. These clowns can't lead.
