Palin: Obama probably wishes he'd picked Clinton as VP

Palin said Friday she thought Obama was probably having second thoughts on his VP pick.
Palin said Friday she thought Obama was probably having second thoughts on his VP pick.

(CNN) - Sarah Palin said Barack Obama could be wishing he had asked Hillary Clinton to join him on the Democratic presidential ticket.

"I think he's regretting not picking her now, I do," the Republican VP nominee told Charles Gibson of ABC News. "What determination and grit and even grace through some tough shots that were fired her way. She handled those well."

Watch: Palin says Obama regrets not picking Clinton

Palin herself has said that Hillary Clinton had been “whining” about sexism during the primary season. "When I hear a statement like that coming from a woman candidate with any kind of perceived whine about that excess criticism, or maybe a sharper microscope put on her, I think, 'Man, that doesn't do us any good, women in politics, or women in general, trying to progress in this country,' " she said at a media forum earlier this year.

But when the Alaska governor first hit the trail after being named John McCain’s running mate, she made remarks at campaign events praising the New York senator, though she stopped making the comments after drawing consistently negative reactions from GOP crowds.

Clinton herself has largely avoided discussing Palin publicly since the governor's selection as McCain's VP.

The nerve of you talking about Hillary, after you called her a whinner.
I saw all of your interviews with CHARLIE, and you did not answer one direct question. Most of your anwere made no sense. Most of the time you looked as if your were about to jump out of your chair.
Hillary, you are not. And not one of use truly Hillary supporters are going to vote for you.

Give me a break, this is the biggest fairy tale of them all.

The rest of the world see American as self-absorbed, fat, dumb GULLIBLE morons...and McCain/Palin will use that kowledge to win this election. We Americans are a waste of human skin if we let these two get away with their obvious and intentional lies!!

Truth still counts for something, or so I have tried to teach my kids!Unfortunately, the majority of evangelical and conservative christians believe lies and half-truths are alright if they are a means to an end! Their motto: Premarital sex, teen pregnacy, aldultery and lies are acceptable for one of "ours" but unacceptable for one of "theirs".

Only in America can such hypocrisy be rewarded with the presidency! We are something else!

Can you get anymore arrogant then this?

It's funny – For all the critics who said Obama was the inexperienced, "green", candidate – he is the one offering a qualified, experienced, well respected running mate. John mccain has truly gone off the deep end with this woman.

It is far too late in this campaign to have buyers remorse, and at least Obama is running a staight talk campaign. If there was ever buyers remorse it would be McCain as it get worse everyday with nothing but lies and still...................................no issues..........no talk of how to fix the economy. At least Obama has not gone off the deep end, like McCain with zero credibility with anyone that has any intellegence and a computer.By the way someone has to tell McCain to put that silly pen away, it is 2008 not 1968.

And yes, Mrs. Liar Palin. John McShame wished he had probably gone with old Joe Judas Liarman, or greasy head Mitt Romonkey. You have been a disgrace to the repubs so far. Old McShame did not know that he had chosen a women with ethical problems. You will never be what Hillary Clinton is. You have put up this big smoke screen that fizzing with each lie you tell.

You are such a fake and liar. You and your husband attempted to deprive a man of his livihood. You called on Rick Warren, who I no longer trust as a man of God, for Scripture regarding the criticism you are now getting. I will give you Scripture. Please read
Galatians 6:7. What soever a man soweth that shall he also reap. Be prepared to reap liar Pailin because you soweth some bad seeds.

What he has and what he wishes he had are two different things. Decision made. Deal with it and move on. Personally, I am more satisfied with Joe Biden as his choice than John McCain is with Sarah Palin.

Sarah Palin changes with wind. She calls Hillary a whiner and another
word that I can not write on this post and now gives her praise.
She and McCain will say or do anything to win. The American
people are insulted over how ignorant they think we are. However,
on November 4, 2008 they will witness what many thought would
    never happen.

How presumptuous of Palin. Obama made an excellent selection in Joe Biden. Although in many ways Hillary would have made a wonderful Veep candidate, we don't know whether or not she would have accepted the position, and there also would have been Bill, the Foundation and a number of other things that would have been put into play. Now it's time to put Palin's whining to rest. No more of this overly deferential treatment by the media. She's already proven that she can sling mud and lie. If she can't take it like the rest of the big kids, she needs to get out.

  14. If Mccain-Palin win, the frozen tundra of Canada will look like a paradise

Mccain: It's really so hard to decide but, I'll take door number three.
Wink: Johnny, tell him what he's won!
Johnny: Sarah Palin, a gimmick for a VP pick that will cause such an uproar, but once the smoke clears, will have him in such a tail spin that it will end with a spectacular face plant in November! Yes folks, that's gonna leave a mark! Back to you Wink!

Oh boy, CNN......... you seem to e quite taken by Gov. Palin. She IS NOT the first woman to have been nominated for VP!

How about doing some investigative reporting so we find out, exactly who she is? Her comments on the ABC interview and her comments at the RNC are SCARY, to those of us who value our FREEDOMS!

Just like a typical GOP, she likes to stretch the truth....... call her on it!

Or is CNN turning into Faux News?

Palin's self-inflated sense of her own importance is showing. No committed Hilary supporter is going to vote for Palin.McCain. Did anyone notice both McCain (on The View) and Palin (on ABC) advocated overturning Roe versus Wade. "Keep 'em barefoot and pregnant." ROverturning the landmark woman's rights law must be another "task from God" I guess.

Palin is correct. That had to be the biggest Obama blunder that we know of. His campaign would have been airtight if Hillary was the VP nominee. Instead he selected a Washington insider -windbag. I love the way NObama camp is scrambling to make amends to the Clintons.

  25. Democrats for McCain

What has happened to the wonder boy? How about this for a scary statistic: Barack Obama is polling worse than John Kerry did four years ago. Currently Obama has a projected 275 electoral votes, McCain 250. In 2004, Kerry had 317 to Bush's 202.

Okay, you may say this doesn’t mean anything — things can change. So I ask why has there been only one Democratic president in the last 28 years? When the GOP starts to bully on the playground the Dems choke. Gore, Kerry, Anyone?

The only people who know how to pull through the clutch are the Clintons. Sex scandal — no problem. Another sex-scandal — no problem. Real estate scandal — hah. One more sex-scandal — bring it. Impeachment — F-you. Their Swift boat just doesn’t sink.
