(CNN) - Sarah Palin said Barack Obama could be wishing he had asked Hillary Clinton to join him on the Democratic presidential ticket.
"I think he's regretting not picking her now, I do," the Republican VP nominee told Charles Gibson of ABC News. "What determination and grit and even grace through some tough shots that were fired her way. She handled those well."

Palin herself has said that Hillary Clinton had been “whining” about sexism during the primary season. "When I hear a statement like that coming from a woman candidate with any kind of perceived whine about that excess criticism, or maybe a sharper microscope put on her, I think, 'Man, that doesn't do us any good, women in politics, or women in general, trying to progress in this country,' " she said at a media forum earlier this year.
But when the Alaska governor first hit the trail after being named John McCain’s running mate, she made remarks at campaign events praising the New York senator, though she stopped making the comments after drawing consistently negative reactions from GOP crowds.
Clinton herself has largely avoided discussing Palin publicly since the governor's selection as McCain's VP.

How presumptuous of Palin. Obama made an excellent selection in Joe Biden. Although in many ways Hillary would have made a wonderful Veep candidate, we don't know whether or not she would have accepted the position, and there also would have been Bill, the Foundation and a number of other things that would have been put into play. Now it's time to put Palin's whining to rest. No more of this overly deferential treatment by the media. She's already proven that she can sling mud and lie. Palin is correct. That had to be the biggest Obama blunder that we know of. His campaign would have been airtight if Hillary was the VP nominee. Instead he selected a Washington insider -windbag. I love the way NObama camp is scrambling to make amends to the Clintons.

What has happened to the wonder boy? How about this for a scary statistic: Barack Obama is polling worse than John Kerry did four years ago. Currently Obama has a projected 275 electoral votes, McCain 250. In 2004, Kerry had 317 to Bush's 202.
Okay, you may say this doesn’t mean anything — things can change. So I ask why has there been only one Democratic president in the last 28 years? When the GOP starts to bully on the playground the Dems choke. Gore, Kerry, Anyone?
