Cindy McCain criticized media coverage of the campaign.
Cindy McCain criticized media coverage of the campaign.

(CNN) –Cindy McCain, wife of Republican presidential nominee John McCain, criticized the media at a weekend fundraiser, telling supporters that the hosts of The View “picked our bones clean.”

"In spite of what you see …in the newspapers, and on shows like The View — I don't know if any of you saw The View yesterday, they picked our bones clean — in spite of what you see, that's not what the American people are saying and what they are believing," said McCain, in a recording obtained by ABC News. "They are now seeing a clear difference with these candidates, and they are seeing who is going to make the best president, and that's why we're pulling ahead."

John McCain had a tough exchange with the hosts of The View during a recent appearance, during which he was pressed on the credentials of running mate Sarah Palin, claims in his campaign ads that co-host Joy Behar called “lies,” and how many houses he and his wife own.

Those who criticize Whoopie for alluding to slavery have, obviously, not read the constitution of the United States. It is okay to talk of the holocaust, but whenever Blacks speak of slavery there is a problem!
Michelle Obama's bones were picked to pieces when she was misquoted about her pride in her country. Cindy should have been asked about her pride in her country after her appearance on The View.
By the way, Elizabeth, we are tired of you continuing to attack Obama with such hate and anger. Rosie was right about you. When you talk you sound like Sarah Palin:scripted, false and like an illiterate Ms. America contestant. You could learn a lot from Michelle Obama, the Harvard graduate. You are one of the dumbest fools on T.V.

Brian   September 15th, 2008 10:55 am ET

That interview was fair and right on. So far we have heard nothing about any changes from the "Shrub doctrine" from the the Mcsame camp. How about Palin go in Face the Nation so we can see her without scripted answers? BTW, I donated another $50.00 to Barak as this "picked our bones clean" statement just infuriated me.

William in Tokyo   September 15th, 2008 10:54 am ET

The ad about Obama supposedly supporting 'comprehensive sex education' to kindergarten students was a blatant lie. The program he supported was actually to help kids recognize and report inappropriate touching. Yet McCain stood there and boldly lied again on the View. If he and Cindy continue to say that it is true, then they are either liars or just plain stupid. I don't think we need them running our country. Sorry, Cindy, you deserve no pity from us. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

Spoiled Brat   September 15th, 2008 10:53 am ET

Her face says it all … anger, hate, arrogance.

If she feels beat up on "The View", she should stay out of Washington where the true buzzards roost.

Once again, It seems that it is women who ask the tough and right questions that are on voters mind. Remember Campbell Brown interview?
The "male" anchors tend to take it easy. They will usually pick talking points of day out of candidate speeches and then have spin masters from the respective campaigns explain aka spin these talking points. How about getting neutral commentators from say think tank institutions for analysis rather than old, has been party faithfuls (most of current) CNN political experts.

Check out facts before you start opening your mouth………Yes White America YOU WILL BE CONSIDERED A RACIST IF YOU ARE A DEMOCRAT AND DON'T VOTE FOR BARACK OBAMA………….IF MCCAIN AND PALIN GET IN OFFICE BECAUSE OF YOU, YOU DESERVE WHATEVER HAPPENS TO YOU………

If McCain can't handle tough questions and be able to provide a substance respond, how then will McCain be able to be a president? He'll be a splitting image of Bush.

Richard   September 15th, 2008 10:44 am ET

Liar #2. More of the Same old Rhetoric and distortions. The polls don't take into account Cell Phone users (most of the 18-34 Crowd that supports Barack heavily), doesn't poll the underprivelaged. Honestly, how does any poll of 900 people determine what Millions will do? It doesn't!! Reagan was in the same boat and he Crushed Jimmy Carter. Obama will crush McSame as Bush.

Lies, lies, lies! That is all the bleeding hearts on here can say? Please expand on these "lies". Maybe you should watch some of the Obama interviews, like the one that O'Reily did. Your savior doesn't have the answers…any answers.

kathy   September 15th, 2008 10:43 am ET

I don't usual watch the view, but i'm glad i tuned in.. Barbara Walters did what she is best known for…asking the tough questions. If McSame and his whiny wife didn't want to have to be honest and answer the tough questions then they should have hid from the press…afterall that is what they do with palin….she's allowed to say what's written…and God forbid if she speaks on her own…she opens her mouth and discloses her inability to make sense..let alone lead the country! All the american people have to do is read the blogs…..the only cry babies are the mcsames, palins and the repulbicans…they dish it out woth lies and smears but yet can't take the truth. i even wonder why todd palin has to trail behind his wife at every event….is he on the payroll too?…hmmm!…kinda makes you agree w/the safety commissioner as to the "first dudes" involvement in troppergate~ you can bet she won't do to many "solo" events…she can't be trusted with what idiocy comes from her mouth and john mcsame can't draw a crowd without her….they are making fools of themselves. there was an anti-palin rally in alaska…why isn't cindy mcsame focusing on that?…or haven't they pinpointed any group yet to blame.

Dee G. from CT   September 15th, 2008 10:40 am ET

I don't watch The View mainly because talk shows do not interest me, but I am happy to hear that someone had the chutzpah (sp?) to ask the questions that the so-called NEWS MEDIA refuses to ask. Being an Obama/Biden supporter, and incidentally, a white female voter (in her 40's), it would logically make me happy to hear that someone made the McCains squirm. But hey, I don't have a problem with either Obama or Biden or both having to be put under the same microscope. They won't be as uncomfotable because they have honest open answers for all the same questions. You notice how when the republicans have to answer questions that they simply can't answer honestly – they squirm trying to come up with some lie (pathetic lie, I might add). Hence the one and only Sarah Palin interview with Charles Gibson. It's pretty scary to think that republican voters out there will just blindly go along with all these lies, half truths, and exaggerations that the McCain/Palin campaign is throwing out there. Wake-up people, think for yourselves!

nerakami   September 15th, 2008 10:39 am ET

My dear Cindy,

It is more important to you to defend tough questions regarding your husbands policies and lying, deceitful ways than to speak on behalf of integrity and honor. Your husband has engaged in the most disgusting, nasty political campaigns and we are appalled that you all condone these tactics.

It doesn't say much for your own character nor give much credence to anything that comes out of your mouth….

in other words… defend truth and integrity or simply, shut up.

Jerry   September 15th, 2008 10:37 am ET

When The View is described as the most hard-hitting interview a Presidential candidate has has to go through, the cable news networks should hang their collective heads in shame.

Farnk, Las Vegas   September 15th, 2008 10:35 am ET

First they LIE, then they CRY when someone calls them on their Lie. She didn't act so upset when she and her husband told the straight out lies, oh boo hoo.

Typical, typical typical. It's not nice to ask us why we lie on a talk show, you're just supposed to ask softball questions, like, is that a new dress, who does your hair, John, are those new shoes?

Maybe the main stream media will finally get the hint and do Their job. Ask the question about ads that are flat out lies. Media, the View asked the questions America wants to know, so now it's your turn to do your job!

JLO   September 15th, 2008 10:35 am ET

Everybody knows that with the exception of Elisabeth the View gang is liberal. What do you expect, they treat Obama like a star and act like attack dogs with McCain. The condescending left in this country can't handle the fact that a REAL American woman (Sarah Palin) has hit the scene. She hunts, she fishes, she rides motorcycles and can still put on a dress and high heels and look good. She represents true America and is just as qualified as Obama. Unlike Obama she has a record. You Liberals are just plain jealous elitist and out of touch losers.

Enough of the name calling already   September 15th, 2008 10:35 am ET

After weeks of reading comments about the campaign I think I've finally reached my tolerance limit. I have never read and heard so many hateful comments from Americans about Americans. In almost every election that has ever taken place, facts and comments are misrepresented and twisted. I hate to break it to you but Obama is just as guilty of this as McCain is so I wouldn't be throwing stones. The fact is this is a very close race and just like the last two elections, it shows how much this country is divided and this will not be a "landslide" victory (at least not if the election was held today).

It's the extremists from both parties that have lost the ability to hear other points of view without name calling that made me leave the Democrat party and became an Independent. People, show some respect.

THANKS BUT "NO THANKS" TO mcSAME-PA'IN!!!! The latest from NEWSWEEK – "WHAT WOMEN WANT????" written in "lipstick"…. lol

WOMEN are separated and the MSM is making that a POINT! Is it what WHITE women vs. what WOMEN OF COLOR want? NO!!! Because Obama's campaign and the MAJORITY of the WORLD have ALL types of WOMEN – there's DIVERSITY there!!!

CINDY – PA'IN – and other righteous REPUBLICAN WOMEN represent only ONE type of woman. THE VIEW, in this case – represented a DIVERSE set of WOMEN!!! And there are things "WE WANT TOO".

Get used to it Cindy – the WHOLE WORLD "does not" center around YOU and the RIGHTEOUS Right and ONLY what YOU WANT!!!!

So we ask again – WHAT DO "ALL" WOMEN" WANT?" That's a DEBATE!!!

OBADEN 2008-2016 – YES WE "WOMEN" CAN and WANT OBADEN!!!!

Anthony   September 15th, 2008 10:32 am ET

Regardless of the high level of disrespect that the angry women of The View displayed towards Senator John McCain, they can never stop the McCain/Palin ticket from surging ahead. Experience and credibility are much more important than celebrity status.

I will be voting for the true American hero John McCain come November and then for Senator Hillary Clinton in 2012.

The Democratic Party and its undemocratic lleaders will pay a big price for denying us the most qualified democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton!

What ever you think about the ladies of The View, they had the "GUTS" to ask the questions, confront the lies and ask for truth. Most of the media outlets seem to be cowered by the part of the industry that fires the reporters if the left is not satisfied with thier search for truth.

THE NAME CALLING BY EVEN THODE OF US THAT BLOGG OR JUST TALK ABOUT CONCERNS IS THE FALL OUT OF THIS ATMOSPHERE OF DECEPTION AND HATE.

YOU COULD SEE THE FIRE IN MCSAMES EYES HE WAS SO ANGRY, NOT ONLY THAT WHEN HE DOES NOT WANT TO ANSWER A QUESTION HE JUST TALKS RIGHT OVER A PERSON HE DID THAT ON THE VIEW, I WISH I HAD PUT MY TAPE RECORDER ON BECAUSE I WOULD OF LOVED TO SEE THE INTERVIEW OVER AGAIN A COUPLE OF TIMES. HE NEEDS MORE OF THOSE KIND OF INTERVIEWS MAYBE HE WILL WAKE UP AND TELL MORE TRUTH BUT I DOUT IT. I am from Canada and praying for Obama to be your President . I pray for all the people that have gone through the huricans. GO OBAMA 08/12

JJ   September 15th, 2008 10:26 am ET

I applaud the ladies on "The View" for asking very direct questions. It's about time someone did. We, the voters, expect and demand the truth and unless these difficult questions/issues are not being addressed these candidates will never be held accountable.

White woman In Texas For Obama   September 15th, 2008 10:26 am ET

Well if the shoe fits wear it honey..
You are not really pulling ahead because McCain is the better President; you are pulling head because some white people are gullible, and will not vote for Obama just because he is black. Because they hear the lies McCain puts out there and want to believe him because he is white. Don’t fool yourself.

tigerakabj   September 15th, 2008 10:24 am ET

Oh please Mrs. McCain. I bet John thought he was going on that show to talk about baking or something b/c he forgot (or most likely didn't know) that Barbera Walters is a journalist.

I was glad someone finally asked McCain tough questions w/o letting him wiggle out of it. It's sad that the View and the National Enquirer are more credible than the MSM.

Cindy, if John can't handle the heat, get out the kitchen.

Obama/Biden 2008/2012.

Robin   September 15th, 2008 10:23 am ET

I don't think most of McCain's die hard supporters really care that his recent ads are lies. He would have to have a major position change for his supporters to change their minds. As for Palin, social conservatives only like her for her staunch social positions not her economic record.

Sue   September 15th, 2008 10:22 am ET

I think Barbara Walters needs to clean up her own mess before she criticizes someone else. Proverbs 30:12. What difference does it make how many houses the McCain's has as long as he is able to do what needs to be done for America and I think he can. People should not watch the View, Oprah Winfrey or any of these disgusting media that think they know it all. As for Sarah Palin, she may be common, but along with that comes common sense and that is more valuable than all the nonsense these TV hosts dish out. Don't under estimate Ms. Palin's abilities until you know her better.

elizabeth   September 15th, 2008 10:22 am ET

I hope the ladies of 'The View' get their hands on Palin!
She thinks she's one tough lady, but with all the lies she's told, they'll wipe the floor with her! I wonder if her husband will whine about how hard they were on his wife.

JR Ohi0   September 15th, 2008 10:20 am ET

As an independent my question is. Obama who? What has he done? You want to pick on Palin? Please… She has about as much experience as Obama which isn’t much. Obama is losing because he is inexperienced and people are learning that. Think about it. He has the perfect environment to get elected as a Democrat unlimited money and the media grossly on his side and he’s having problems. He was giving a gimme and is losing it. I myself was going to vote Democrat no matter what, but cannot in good conscious vote for this man who has done nothing except prove that he can’t be trusted. Not sure what the Dems were thinking, they should have put up a viable candidate.
McCain is the only way to go this time around. At least you have to respect the man

James   September 15th, 2008 10:18 am ET

To What Obama Supporters Do Not Know:

You sound like a reasonable person, but all I hear coming from you are some catch phrase, such as socialism, Marxism, etc…

I agree with you that people SHOULD examine Obama's plan for this country, which the media has quite deftly obfuscated. The fact is, he is nothing close to a socialist and exemplifies the values this country was founded on of individual hard work, self determination, and pulling yourself up by your bootstraps. He just wants to make sure the same opportunity is in place for future generations. I am optimistic that this is what will happen if people really want to come back from that breach we have put ourselves on with the Bush style of "leadership".

The McCains are the very image of the rancor and hideous underbelly of the racist element in America. Folks, these people are really out of touch, elect McCain and allow the festering mortgage, Wall Street financial predicament and the mismanaged war in Iraq and Afghanistan to drive the nation we all love so dearly to complete financial ruin.

Please do not allow the so called conservatives to shape America’s future they have proven themselves to be misguided and ignorant to continue to talk of tax cuts for the privilege few when the nation is prosecuting two major wars and ordinary folks can hardly make end meet.

Mccain have voted against all women rights and choices!!

Lies, lies and more lies — and presumably if Mcain was to take the office, his oath would be a lie as well. Speak the truth and speak for youself — at least stand up for what you believe instead of pandering to every potential vote with lies.

Ask the tough questions — just ask them — at least we may get some truth somewhere.

They did a tremendous job. Now let's see if Palin is brave enough to go on there. They've got her number and will set her straight too. I love it!

Every time anyone in the McCain campaign gets a tough question he or she is being picked on by the mean old media. Get over it, Cyndi and Sarah! it's time for you to answer the tough questions. As the Republicans keep reminding us, it's a scary world. If McCain can't handle the ladies of The View how will he handle Putin, et al.

Silly Wenches   September 15th, 2008 10:09 am ET

It was very silly when Whoopi asked about McCain making her a slave again. She was grandstanding and being disrespectful to her guest. I wish he'd pointed out to her that through American process, the constitution was amended and she doesn't have to worry about that, and he certainly has no intention of going backward. He instead bit his tongue rather than stooping to her level. And to see Behar rolling her eyes, dropping her head; while Barbara couldn't even look him in the eye to ask her questions … they altogether looked really bad. Regardless of whether these show hosts agree or disagree with their guests, they should behave professionally rather than acting immature brats. You can ask tough questions without being disrespectful. Thanks to Sherri, whose political affiliation we can't discern, for being respectful and unbiased.

Democrat from AZ   September 15th, 2008 10:08 am ET

The criticism that goes into these blogs is beyond the pale. They say us Democrats do a bunch of whining and sometimes we do but some of us have legitimate worries and complaints about what has happened over the last eight years. America is suppose to represent all of us. I don't understand you republicans. You must all be rich or something. You are all happy with allowing our brave soldiers to continue to die for a war we never wanted-should never have been in? A war that is costing all of us $10 billion a month? You are willing to continue paying that cost but refuse to care about your fellow Americans who are really hurting? You are all worried that we Democrats are just trying to scam the system by the way you talk. Are you all ok with going into more wars as McCain and Palin "spread democracy" like its some type of plague? Do any of you have teenagers in your home? Aren't you worried that your children will be forced into a draft if McCain gets elected? How else will he be able to get more soldiers?
What is really sad is America has changed. We use to care about each other. Americans have become selfish and spiteful and we all should be supportive to get out of the mess that the Bush got us into. Where are our priorities??

AMERICANS for McCain/Palin

Brian   September 15th, 2008 10:06 am ET

Man, if the McCain's can't even handle a gaggle of pseudo-journalist hens without complaining, what does that say about how he'll handle tough meetings with foreign leaders, a potentially hostile press corps, or any other dissent or opposition?

I think this shows they are too soft and feel they are too entitled to victory to be elected.

withit   September 15th, 2008 10:04 am ET

This probably won't get on this forum, but here goes. How come MOST of the comments on all these "discussions" is pro Obama and anti-McCain? All the name calling is a sign of desparation on the Obama supporters' part. As far as how many homes do the McCains own, WHO CARES? This argument that they can't identify with the "little" man holds no water. How many homes do the Kennedys own? How many homes do any of them own? Does that make someone unfit to hold office? If it did, most of Congress would be out of office. There is such a double standard in this country with the adulation of the Kennedys when we all know their seedy background and comparing the Obamas to them. How about the "slip-up" Obama made with reference to how many states there are in this country? He said there were 57…seems there are 57 states in Islam, so was that a Fruedian slip or a sign of our future under his leadership? People really need to stop slinging the bull and stop thinking with their emotions and use their brains to decide who is the best man. When it comes down to it, the President is only a figure head. It is the Congress that runs the country and we all know the Congress is Democratically controlled now, so who really is to blame for the economy and all the woes of this country? And that is the same Congress that Obama and Biden came from. If they spout about change, they had their chance when they were in Congress, right? The most important issue for the Democratic Congress under Pelosi is to bash Bush while the country suffers. As far as Whoppi's comment, who really is the racist? But that's another forum…

I am sick and tired of hearing "The American public is smarter than that". The truth of the matter is we are not smart, we just love people saying we are smart. If we were smart negative adds would not work. Rumors would not spread.
But we are at our best when there is someone to blame or to laugh at.

We are at our best when we spout racial comments.

We are at our best when we exclude someone because of religious bias.

We are at our best when social programs is to blame for our bad economic times.

We are at out best when "Experience" is the new code word for black we use "Experience" because it makes us feel good.

Let's face it This is the best we are every going to get. The Republicans built there party on hate, religion, guns, and ignorance. The Democrats built there party on lack of balls, and weakness. One party is most of the time wrong, dumb and loud (Republicans). The Democrats are most of the time right, silent, and week.

Kudos to the women on the view , Thanks but no thanks to palin and mccain.

FL for Obama   September 15th, 2008 10:00 am ET

The View asked the very questions the media should be doing. Joy correctly called out McCain's lying, and his facial expression in response revealed how dishonorable he feels about approving those dishonest ads.

If the McCain(s) can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen, or stop the blatant lying. Enough.

C   September 15th, 2008 10:00 am ET

The View was telling the truth… wake up women of America! McCain thinks a woman on his ticket means he will change 4 more years of the same economic disaster. The problem is although Palin's intensions might be good, McCain's intensions are "I hope this woman gets me elected; fooled you 3 times"!

obama, obama   September 15th, 2008 9:59 am ET

toScott-CA–you actually call those "view women " LADIES? I think you meant–Cindy was the only "lady" on that show?! CNN, could you find a worse photo of the gorgeous Cindy?

cecil   September 15th, 2008 9:59 am ET

We will take no lectures from John McCain, Cindy McCain Or There Supporters who are cynically running the sleaziest and least honorable campaign in modern Presidential campaign history. His discredited ads with disgusting lies are running all over the country today. He runs a campaign not worthy of the office he is seeking."

NO BOLD FACE LIAR FOR PRESIDENT!

Scott, Orlando, FL   September 15th, 2008 9:49 am ET

Wow, Mrs. McCain doesn't get her way and can't create an illusion of grandure and control the situtaion and NOW is unconfortable? Having her bones picked clean is part of the job. Get used to it or get out! She is a rich snob who doesn't have a clue what the real American public thinks of her. Only her rich friends tell her what she wants to hear. Go to one of your seven homes and hide, or throw a dinner party. I am sure everyone there will tell you exactly what you want to hear.

LIP   September 15th, 2008 9:48 am ET

I like the new name for their program, "Womb with no View" show. Hope it catches on. "Are you going to make me a slave again" ..Whoopie is the number one racist in this country. She hates whites and cheap comments like those of hers speak for themselves and do nothing good for America.
McCain's decision to go on that particular show does show a side of him I didn't care to see. He is an idealist if he thought for one minute that he would be treated fairly by that bunch of vultures. Sorry about the word vultures. There may be children reading this dribble and I had to clean it up a bit.
Has everyone forgotten 911 and that had Bill done his job and taken Bin Laden out, 911 wouldn't have happened and then we wouldn't have had to get ourselves immersed in the Middle East and all that has happened since, wouldn't have happened.
That is what this election is all about. Do we want a President that is pathetically weak and wants to stand down as a world leader. If we do, then vote for Obama. You can't bury your head in the sand forever folks and we should praise Bush for the stand he has taken; he has done what Bill wouldn't do because it would hurt his "Legacy". Bush stuck his neck out and bit the bullet and sacrificed his Legacy to do what was right.

Michael "C" Lorton, Virginia   September 15th, 2008 9:48 am ET

McCain's appearance on the View was a diaster……If he was trying to prove that he is a "maverick", and that is such a political myth, he truly stepped into horse sh**, and big time, and now he can go and lick his wounds……

Nat Turner   September 15th, 2008 9:48 am ET

It's way past time that John McCain is being asked some "tough" questions. Sen Obama has been grilled for the last 18 months and is not allowed to get away with the weak, vague non-answers that McCain gives. The only thing he wants to whine about is his status as a POW. There are thousands of POW's. That does not make them qualified to be president of the United States. He is no better. Why doesn't John think about the fact that at least he was allowed to come back home ALIVE….albeit mentally deranged.
Obama-Biden 2008!

dm ohio   September 15th, 2008 9:48 am ET

Joy Behar is revolting. I saw her on Larry king and wanted to vomit. And for that matter CNN thinks we need to know her view on anything. I believe here comment reguarding Palin was" you can't replace on vagina with another". Look, Cindy Mccain should be getting better adviceand stay away from garbage shows like the View. If you don't vote for Obama, it's a race thing, if you didn't like Hillary, you anti woman. This election will be the reason four years from now we will once again have two candidates so out of touch with our great nation. Most Obama supporters could not tell you where he stands or how he has voted on any issue, including that Joy Behar, but they know he's black.

Mary   September 15th, 2008 9:47 am ET

Cnn again I will say they should have picked him a little bi more. I would like to know what's up with Palin being his partner his soulmate. That honor should go to his wife.

S.B. Stein E.B. NJ   September 15th, 2008 9:47 am ET

For her to say that their bones were picked clean is silly sounding to put it nicely. Is Cindy McCain expecting to be treated with kid gloves? Her husband is running for to be the next president of the US. Everything should be explored except very personal things like his choice of underwear (and things like that). His policy decisions, personal finance plans and other choices shows what kind of person he is and if we should elect him president. Not all of the choices I have seen make me want to vote for him.

Nathan,   September 15th, 2008 9:46 am ET

The Republicans always cry foul when they're brought to task on their lies and deceit. They have no problem lying about their opponents. As sonn as they're called on it they feel they're being treated unfairly. These people know no shame. When Graham was calling the rest of us a bunch of whiners he should have been talking about the Republicans.

David - NYC   September 15th, 2008 9:46 am ET

Well, unfortunately she's right….the American people aren't seeing the media asking the McCain campaign hard, tough questions. It's quite sad when we have to count on Barbara Walters and Whoopi Goldberg to hold a presidential candidate accountable for his comments, ads, and promises of "reform".

Please America….wake up…and don't fall for the same GOP lies.

Obama/Biden 2008!!!

Kiah G.   September 15th, 2008 9:46 am ET

Aww poor you! Poor McCain campaign for being confronted of their LIES to the American people. Shame on Americans for calling out LIARS for LYING!

Revacoop   September 15th, 2008 9:45 am ET

Boy, if Cindy McCain was troubled by "The View," she'll have a lot more problems if her husband wins the election. I thought they were pretty gentle, actually, but she seems to be offended that they even asked the questions. And the audience wasn' t uniformly supportive either. However, no one got into how her beer lobbyists oppose Mothers Against Drunk Driving and other organizations trying to restrict alcohol consumption.

Phil   September 15th, 2008 9:45 am ET

Is it just me, but are all the bleeding hearts on here out of touch with reality themselves? They are constantly accusing CNN of being to pro McCain, which is absolutely ludicrous, considering how liberal CNN is. They act like school kids when they badmouth McCain/Palin by simply saying things like, "You are stupid," or "You are a liar." That's really deep explanations you bleeding hearts can give. Your savior, Obama, wants to turn America into a socialist type country. Hello, redistribution of wealth! So it is fair that people who work hard and are successful have to pay more money simply for the fact they are successful and those who are not as successful deserve their cut of money? Give me a break. You dems need to wake up. The democracy you want is what Castro, Chavez, etc. push on their people. This country has turned into a welfare state. People are always wanting a handout. If you don't make enough, work harder. It's what everyone else does. The View is full of a bunch of nitwits, nothing more.

max   September 15th, 2008 9:44 am ET

To Linda-Obama,
You complained about your comments not being posted by CNN. Your are not the only one. Your comments are being held hostage because they make sense and contain ideas CNN could steal, or true materials that can hurt CNN's candidate of choice. Stop posting them. After all do we believe that CNN would open a discussion board for people to give opinions for free? Hell no!. They are ideas hunters. They snatch your ideas without even sending you a thank you E-Mail.

Hilarious. Obama walks onto the O'Reilly Factor and has intelligent discussion while the McCains get owned by 'The View'.

Howard   September 15th, 2008 9:42 am ET

One day CNN will have the courage to post this analysis:

Barak Obama is simply the left wings version of George Bush. Don’t you guys get it? That is why the race is so close. There are more similarities between George Bush and Barak Obama than between George Bush and John McCain… and all the regular lunch pail work every day people see that.

The real “4 more years” of “King George” will be the electing of “Emperor Barak”? Obama is simply the left wing version of George Bush. Both of them are arrogant — Obama with regard to his intellect, Bush with regard to his religion. Neither of them ever cast a vote in opposition to the majority of their base prior to their receiving the nomination, both of them had strong support from the political machines of their parties in the primaries, both of them attended churches with strong political agendas and neither of them has the experience of a parsnip… but they love their own Kool-Aid… but scariest of all, the press has lined up behind Obama the same way they lined up behind Bush…

When will CNN have the guts to post this point of view?

If John McCain lacks the courage to face the questions posed by the ladies of The View, is he really prepared for the White House?

Deb n Texas   September 15th, 2008 9:39 am ET

The McCains interview with the was extraordinary. It is high time SOMEONE ask McCain about the lying ads he runs on television, ads that he knows are not true about Obama. Cable news channels don't ask him about the lies, so somebody has to and I commend 'THE VIEW" for doing Cable News' job. McCain is losing his integrity to win a campaign and 'that' is a low as you can go.

William   September 15th, 2008 9:39 am ET

Why would anyone expect the media to try to shed some light on our elections? Could it be that the McCains's don't want anyone to know they offer nothing more than the Bush status quo! McCain is anything but honorable.

Pascal   September 15th, 2008 9:39 am ET

Misspelled "truth". Sorry about that!

Too true Christine. And if your comment had not mentioned that bias, it would not have been published either. Them's the rules!

Christy   September 15th, 2008 9:31 am ET

Why are so many of you who are McCain haters also prejudice against rich people? I don't understand this? Should we bash people because they were able to acheive what I average income earners have not been able to acheive? That is one of the things we are all striving for is it not, financial freedom ?

I am libertarian and will be voting for Bobb Barr, so I really don't care for either Obama or McCain, however, I will say I am quite fed up with the blind Obama love. Change, exactly what kind of change? More welfare programs to bankrupt our country even more? Just because someone says they stand for change, does not make it so. If people could look beyond party lines (and race) and look at the facts.

BTW…Sarah Palin has close to the same amount of experience as Obama, and she is only running for VP, not Pres. And her experience counts for more because she is actually a governor and responsible for a state budget as opposed to Se. Obama.

MJ   September 15th, 2008 9:31 am ET

Another thing I would like to know from all you super liberals that write on the blogs, is why I have to be labled a HATER if I don't agree with Obama. I was not called a HATER when I didn't agree with Kerry or Gore. You people need to quit trying to make myself and others out to be racist, but if that is all you got then that is all you got.

Tolu   September 15th, 2008 9:30 am ET

The ladies were certainly on the attack, but it was certainly well deserved, and any one with truth on his side would have made out well. Obama went on O' Reilly because he knwew that he had enough truth on his side, and there are no headlines about him ripping Papa Bear afterwards, why? Because even that arrogant ignoramus respects an honest answer. So PLEASE Father Time/Baracuda-my-butt, quit your whining and do more interviews!

Time for Real Reporters....CNN!   September 15th, 2008 9:30 am ET

Here the Republicans paid bloggers go again. Why is it when the Democrats are telling the truth about McCain and Palin LIES they are spreading NOW and continuing to tell lies about Obama, they bring up Michelle Obama's.

Biden is who Palin is running against, but that's not McCain and Repubs plan, their plan is she is to do McCain duty work by attacking his opponent, he is the one that is scared to open his mouth because he will show the real McCain in sheep cloths. This is one of their tricks as usual to keep us from asking Palin the real issues we face. Another tactic to get us to talk about pretty woman and POW man fake ads, hoping we will buy into their LIES. Like ROve didn't say, McCain ads aren't even 5% true, that why he let's his Pit Bull our at speeches and lock up back up after them.

The Republicans are the first to say leave Palin family out of this, but the next thing they do is BRING up Michelle name in a LIE. DO they even know how to tell the truth or do they know what telling the truth means?

maggie perez   September 15th, 2008 9:30 am ET

And don't take my word for it, go investigate. Get a life you hypocrite.

McCain's strategy is to whine every time he's asked a tough question? What a macho American hero he is, can't even take heat from the View women. God forbid somebody in the real news media get a chance to ask him real questions.

Look at the website: The Real John McCain Less Jobs More Wars
There are several videos of him that will give you a good picture of why the ladies on The View knew it was important to ask these questions. There is also an online petition being forwarded to people on the internet with many doctors names on it requesting that John McCain release his medical records without the doctors or news people being restricted to a time limit like last time. He is on about six medications and the melanoma, unfortunately, is a very serious condition that can come back on internal organs without any evidence until it's too late. There are many issues that are important to consider before voting this man into office and that includes his mental clarity and tendency to distort the truth.

what ajoke the mcains are, i mean really, do they even know what lifes like for the rest of us, cindy is so materialistic, she tots $100,000 in jewelry everyday, mr mcain has got too be the most disingenuous candidate ive ever seen, what you people see in him is beyond comprehension, he is a bush clone, who will lead this country into further escalations in military conflicts around the world, you see john mcain has a grudge from vietnam, he wants payback, not to nam, just in general, he is well documented as a hot headed, angry, shot first kind of person, he will not make a clear decision, instead he will jump at the chance to throw the first punch, do we as a country need, another iron fist running this country, are you not tired of the rest of the worlds total disrepect for our brutal policies, lets bring america back to a country that the world looked up too, not down upon
as a republican i will be casting my vote for change, for americas pride, for jobs, for education, and right to choose
i wont even begin too oppose the hockey mommy, because shes not worth my time, cant you all see mcain did not choose palin because he thought she was the best person for the job, in fact she wasnt even on the list of 10 , no she was choosen at the last minute so mcain could swing votes, people jumping on her band wagon ,consider this for a moment, is mcain doing whats right for this country, do you think he made the right decision, is he not disingenuous, wake up america
obama for change

.John McCain and Sarah Palin over-react when they are questioned about their records, positions, and campaign strategies. It's an election…don't they get that? Investigating questions & discussions hold candidates accountable (including Palin and McCain); therefore are not automatically biased or sexist as this Republican ticket seeks sympathy as a victim. Get over it Cindy.

Karol   September 15th, 2008 9:28 am ET

Just like NBC and CNN the View is biased. I watched both times when the Obama's where on the show as well as the McCains and they asked tough questions of the McCains and laughed and giggled with B.O. and asked where Michele got her "pretty black and white dress" now that was tough and of course it made a difference in how I would vote. Barbara was reliving her old glory days, go sell a book!

I think the View, and the almighty "O" need to stick to what they do and stop trying to tell us who to vote for.

Dave   September 15th, 2008 9:28 am ET

xddy4u- I hope that when you stop voting you wont be complaining either.

See this is whats wrong…."I am not gonna vote-but I will complain about your vote." "I'm gonna sit in the corner and whine but not do anything about the problem…"

You must be a senator or a congressman?

GET REAL-

Jack   September 15th, 2008 9:28 am ET

The McCains and Palin can't answer the tough questions….they need instructions from Karl Rove and the teleprompters first. None of them can answer a tough questions without first being rehearsed.
Sad people…….

It's humorous that these rich, over the top, cheerleader types wanna pretend like they are down home, grit eating, banjo playing folks like the rest of us. Lately it seems like the only way to win an election is to pretend like your stupid so folks dont think yer uppity. This woman is NOT someone who needs be near the white house….

Nechia NYC   September 15th, 2008 9:27 am ET

I thought the interview was good. They asked the right questions. Question that any canadaite for president should be able to answer. The problem was that McCain didnt make sense. He was saying how he wanted to read the constitution as in was meant to be read. Which is stupid the laws that are in the constitution although still practiced today are not as relevent today as they were than. I think Woopie was right to ask him the question of slavery. When you claiming that you want to take the contry back to thoes time any black person or even woman would have to say HOLD ON not that far back. Its time that the McCain group start answering the questions that matter to the american people.

Dana   September 15th, 2008 9:27 am ET

ATTN Cecilia…. What is sooooooo wrong about expecting someone who will be PRESIDENT- to answer tough questions??? John McCain has many contradictions- he chose to go on the show he should have known what he was walking into! This whole notion that the Repubs should have the red carpet rolled out is a JOKE! Both Candidates and their VP picks are subject to scrutiny- if its too hot get out of the kitchen!!!!! The questions the View asked were justifiable- the question your SHOULD be asking- is why couldnt your candidate substantiate his positions…why couldnt he defend his choices?? Because HE IS LYING TO YOU and YOU ARE FALLING FOR IT… like in 2000 and 2004… I wish I could get a listing of all the people who vote for him if for no other reason if this maniac wins after 2 years of him being in the White House when he drags us into WWIII I can go to your houses and say SEEEE TOLD YOU SOOOOOOOOO!!!!
When he is drafting your sons to war b/c our military is so depressed and under staffed…. WAKE UP!!!!! This is no game and no time for name calling or petty back and forth- look at the facts, what is wrong with you people- you honestly are more scared of a back man for PResident than complete chaos in our country and abroad???

li   September 15th, 2008 9:27 am ET

"Note to the McCains: Run an honest campaign and you wont have these sort of problems. "

Yes, but the same goes for the Obama campaign whom The View treated like royalty. This show is incredibly biased and more focused on their ratings than honesty and integrity. The show is for entertainment. These are not journalist. Walters may have been able to call herself that once a upon a time, but hasn't been a real journalist is many MANY years.

Main point: If people are looking for real information and "intelligent" political discussion from The View, then we have an even bigger crisis on education that any of candidates realize!

Leena   September 15th, 2008 9:27 am ET

All the people saying you're changing your vote over a tv show are idiots. I.D.I.O.T.S. You vote on issues. And if you know the big issues, no matter what side you're on, you're not suddenly going to change. It's like the ex-Hilary fans saying they're going for McCain now. That's the ultimate slap to Hilary and clearly shows you were never for her or her policy's anyway.

I was all about Hilary and now I'm supporting Obama because his policy's and her's are clearly more inline.

I hate dumb people.

Christopher, Louisville, KY   September 15th, 2008 9:26 am ET

It is the job of the media to ask hard questions. What I'd like to know is why the only two people who ever seem to ask a follow-up are Campbell Brown and Joy Behar?! When a comedian asks tougher questions and demands follow-up and network news anchors like Charlie Gibson lets an interviewee blatantly lie, there is something severely wrong with journalism in this nation.

J from DC   September 15th, 2008 9:25 am ET

I still like Biden, and don’t get to see enough of him.

What did he think he was going to talk to these 5 ladies about…. real Politics?! lo…he must be the Manchurian candidate under his wife's control, cause he's been married for a good amount of years and he still hasn't learned that you don't engage in a discussion with woman, unless you're Obama, or me.

Christine   September 15th, 2008 9:24 am ET

The moderators on this website are totally biased towards Obama.
Occasionally an opposing view is added to give the appearance of fairness. When Michelle Obama was on the View, she was treated with kid gloves. No questions about about her salary being doubled after her husband got into the Senate. No questions about how Rezko helped them buy their house. No questions to Michelle on why she let her young children sit and listen to the racial rantings of Rev. Wright.

dellie   September 15th, 2008 9:24 am ET

Have any of the paid Obama bloggers on this site taken notice that the more they slam Palin, the more McCain-Palin rise in the polls? Thanks for your help….As you continue to be rude and hateful…that ticket will continue to benefit.

shikinouta   September 15th, 2008 9:23 am ET

This happens every time….when republicans are faced with tough questions they curl up and whimper like puppies because they know they have no justification for their actions. They blame everyone else for being mean when really they are the ones who are objectionable. They will never see themselves as wrong….kind of Mugabe-esque if you ask me.

S.M   September 15th, 2008 9:23 am ET

Did he and his wife feel that they were suppposed to treated with kid gloves just because he's John McCain and she's Cindy McCain? They were only asking questions that the public has the right to know; nothing more and nothing less. She wasn't so quick to come to Michelle Obama's defense when Elizabeth, from the View, ripped Obama's wife apart at the RNC convention. If her husband can't take those type of questions, than perhaps he shouldn't be running for President.

OUObama   September 15th, 2008 9:23 am ET

The fact that McCain is so close is truly sad and a testament to just how disillusioned Americans are. If the price of gas and food are hurting your pocket, how could you back a Rep?

Gene   September 15th, 2008 9:23 am ET

Too bad, if you can't stand the heat then get out of the kitchen. Obama, as well as other candidates, have been grilled continuously since this election cycle started. What did McCain expect, a pat on the head and a bowl of mush for him to gum? If McCain is so tough then act it.

Bob From Boston   September 15th, 2008 9:23 am ET

Enlightened voter – Your ignorant anger makes you an obvious liberal. I feel bad for you.

Matt Webster   September 15th, 2008 9:19 am ET

It is strange that America need a show like "The View" to ask tough questions from politicians and can't be deterred with vague answers. Perhaps some other media outlets will start asking tougher questions.

As for Mrs. McCain, picked your bones clean? Because they were asking legitimate questions? cry me a river!

Greg   September 15th, 2008 9:19 am ET

WHAT A BUNCH OF WHINERS!! I SWEAR MOST OF THE BLOGS ON HERE ARE JUST JEALOUS OF WHAT JOHN AND CINDY MCCAIN HAVE FOR POSSESSIONS. WHO CARES HOW MANY HOUSES THEY HAVE AS LONG AS THEY BOUGHT THEM AND THEY ARE PAYING THE MORTGAGES. MOST OF YOU BLOGGERS LOOK FOR WHAT OUR COUNTRY CAN DO FOR YOU NOT WHAT WE CAN DO FOR OUR COUNTRY. IF YOU WHINERS WANT MORE POSSESSIONS WORK HARDER OR GO TO SCHOOL AND GET BETTER JOBS AND QUIT BEING A BUNCH OF CRYBABIES.

T-Wag   September 15th, 2008 9:18 am ET

Wake up people. CNN is neither left nor right. It's about reporting the news. The problem is, regardless of what side of the aisle your allegiance lies, you will always view any REAL "fair and balanced" media as biased if you see even ONE article against your candidate or your party.

The truth is this: John McCain's ads are misleading and often contain outright lies. He was called on that during a daytime program and then failed to respond. That doesn't make the women on "The View" anymore for or against him. They just wanted a response to what is a well-known factual claim and he failed to produce a legitimate response.

As for the "How many houses do you own" question…I think it's absolutely fair. The majority of Americans do not make over $5 million dollars, many don't have health care because it's not affordable even through their employers, the unemployment rate is up, the housing market is down, etc…the economy is a BIG deal folks. Don't you WANT to know how "in touch" your next President truly is with the people he has vowed to serve and protect.

I'm not against John McCain, I just want him to answer those "bone-cleaning" questions that SHOULD get asked in a presidential campaign. Step up and speak the truth – give us some of that "Straight Talk" you continue to promise.

TONY   September 15th, 2008 9:18 am ET

Quit acking like a "hot house orchid" and face the tough questions honey….or are these too much for you?
Get real.
Go OBAMA!

What Obama Supporters Do Not Know   September 15th, 2008 9:18 am ET

For all the talk about an economy, the Obama supporters must not have done their research. From an African American independent who isn't voting for either candidate I don't even bother telling my friends who would be a better choice for the country.

There is NO WAY Senator Obama can pay for the things he wants to do in this country without government cuts and I'm not talking earmarks here. He has to do what Democrats never like to do and that is smaller government. As a matter of fact, he himself has already said he wants to increase government with his various plans.

The 800+ billion dollars for the global poverty fund has to come from somewhere. You will be taxed. Point blank and simple. If you're ready for socialism (which many progressives are) then I guess vote Obama but if you value your own income and don't want the government to take your coin and then provide you services you wouldn't elect or aren't eligible for anyway, I suggest you vote anything but Obama.

American Idol politics have given this man a huge boost and the picking of the bones for the McCain Campaign is evident that the media at large have forgotten the one important issue they're all screaming about…. The economy. They attack McCain/Palin repeatedly while forgetting the one thing you never do during near economic crisis. The one Cardinal Sin….

——————–
| Raise Taxes |
——————–

And that's what your golden boy wants to do. It's a shame that we've arrived here without fully understanding, well virtually anything about Senator Obama as the truth is obfuscated by the media and anything said about him isn't received at face value, instead they flip the coin and call you names for saying anything about Senator Obama.

I'm sure he's a good man, I question his honesty and his ambition is something scary considering his qualifications but most of what he said can be taken for what it is… Marxism… Of course those of you voting Obama probably wouldn't know what I'm talking about or wouldn't care until you see your inflated tax burden.

Cast your vote however you wan to on November 5th but at least make it an educated vote and not a vote because some celebrity or the media decided for you. You wouldn't take their advice for anything else in your life (at least I hope you wouldn't) so why start at perhaps (if you didn't vote in 2000/2004 which many of you didn't) the most important decision you're going to make this decade.

Educate yourself first, then cast your vote for whomever you decide to vote for but don't be blind to the issues right before your nose and spread ignorance in an attempt to turn Modern Politics into American Idol.

Good luck to all of you in November.

Steve the Soothsayer   September 15th, 2008 9:17 am ET

I did not see the "View" in its entirety, but I did see Ms. Walters again make a fool of herself, as though her recent autobiography did not render her foolish enough. There comes a time, Ms. Walters, when retirement is clearly the preferred option. Sieze the moment!

MM   September 15th, 2008 9:17 am ET

Heh as Senator McCain said himself "politics are tough". For of you that said …oh the View is liberal…..so what….McCain still needs to answer the questions that were asked him. which he did, but then he lied again….Palin didn't receive any earmarks while Gov of Alaska??????, really??????? And his whine about if Obama had been open to town hall meetings things wouldn't have gotten so negative was pitiful.

Allie D   September 15th, 2008 9:17 am ET

What everyone is thinking is that OBAMA is a joke. Here is an admitted cocaine and other drug user that came out of nowhere, sat in a pew in a racists, dangerous church for 20 years, and is now propped up by the democrats as the second coming. Give me a break! No how , no way, NObama.

Catherine   September 15th, 2008 9:17 am ET

I say it's about time somebody pointed out the lies the Republicans are spreading. They've been outed several times by different interviewers and reporters and yet they STILL keep repeating these lies as the truth in their ads and apparently even to people's faces such as McCain did on the View.

This is Bush and Cheney all over again. They've done nothing BUT lie about various things and thumb their noses at the law for the past 8 years and now McCain/Palin are doing the same. For the life of me I can't understand why anybody would vote for them. How do Republicans justify these liars as members of their so-called Values party?

Richard   September 15th, 2008 9:17 am ET

McCain's economic advisor, Phil Gramm says we are a nation of whiners. Cindy certainly is displaying her credentials.

Canadian Observer   September 15th, 2008 9:16 am ET

I know CNN will probably not post this, but I'm going to send my comments anyways.

I've been watching this circus of an election for some time now, and I've realized based on the comments that I see on the television as well as on various news sites that a lot of the American people really don't care about policies.

I can not vote of course because I'm merely a Canadian watch from a distance but from what I have seen I'd like to offer some advise regarding this election and future elections. My advise is to listen to the policies of both parties and not the lies misleading statements that are consistently being placed into the spotlight by the media. Don't allow your vote to be based on sex, age and of course RACE. I believe strongly that a lot of you are basing your vote on sex and race, and in this day and age you would think you would realize that this in not the smartest approach in picking leadership.

Although my country is by know means perfect, I'm thankful I'm here and not there.

God Bless America!

sarainfla   September 15th, 2008 9:15 am ET

This is so sad if you are called on your political views or statements that you make . Somehow people are being unfair, this is what happens when people get tired of being lied to they eventually get to the point of saying "enough is enough".

These people want to hold the highest office in this country, we should ask tough questions. And they should gladly answer.
I will say I feel with the long democratic process Sen. Obama has gotten hit hard (that's expected) Sen. McCain has not gotten that type of challenges….People want to look at the past as if the know him… Yet look how his view continue to change….Do we really know him .

McCain no honor, not ready to lead.

derl   September 15th, 2008 9:15 am ET

Joy Behar is an idiot who thinks that because she is loud and forceful that she is right. Don't confuse her with facts because she's already made up her small mind.

Cheryl   September 15th, 2008 9:15 am ET

I was appalled and extremely disappointed in the "hosts" of the View. They were mean and nasty toward the McCains and have lost me as a long time viewer. I thought they were above such behavior. Shame on you!

Brian, NJ   September 15th, 2008 9:15 am ET

John McCain is a patriot and served our country bravely in war, but is proving he will say anything to get elected since his ads ARE lies.

Nothing is more stupid than the American electorate.

If McCain wins, we need to draft Gore for 2012.

Christiaan, Norman OK   September 15th, 2008 9:15 am ET

What I think is most amusing is the way the questions asked on The View took them by surprise. It just shows how out of touch McCain is: I don't know how you can watch that show and not detect a liberal bias. I'm okay with that, because I think reality has a liberal bias, but it shocks me that the McCains hadn't noticed.

But what's more is that it showed how much contempt the McCains have for women. The way the "tough" questions caught them by surprise is utterly ridiculous. I mean, it's not like Barbara Walters was a nationally syndicated and internationally respected journalist for decades or anything! I can understand underestimating Whoopi (don't get me wrong, I've mad respect for that woman), but did you think Walters was just gonna forget that she's a journalist?

Candia   September 15th, 2008 9:15 am ET

To Enlightened Voter: Although I agree with you that Demski's answer is extraordinarily dumb, ignorant and hateful, could you please refrain from throwing all Germans into one pot – more than 60 years after the Nazi regime ended? One sort of bigotry shouldn't excuse another.

(And btw, Demski, actually, sounds rather Polish *g*)

Enlightened Voter   September 15th, 2008 9:01 am ET

Demski – Are you kidding me? Your name sounds german to me, are you a nazi? And what planet have you been on the last 19 mos? Obama has been questioned to death, he doesn't avoid news shows like palin has been. Your kind is what is wrong with this country, go back to germany where you belong.

tony   September 15th, 2008 9:01 am ET

People like the " Enlightened Voter " with his continuous dispicable remarks are the kind of people that will sweep under the rug the hateful comments of a Rev. Wright whom Obama called his mentor–
Real Americans see that kind of judgement as flawed—Obama has no chance–

cecelia marinelli   September 15th, 2008 9:01 am ET

I side with Cindy McCain. What the View did to a senior senator and his wife was beyond words. If they didn't want them to appear, why did they just call them and tell them no? But, to call them and fry them was disgraceful, disrespectful and not everyone in America, including myself feels the way the View portrayed them. They are the honest Americans who do not have to put themselves through this, yet they do, why? because they believe in America. Contrary to Obama who hangs out with Arys, and Rev. Wright and has a wife who just discovered America is not the mean place she believed it was. Give me a break, this was a definitive attempt to destroy the McCains and continue your support of Obama. That is why Barbara Walters never once looked John or Cindy McCain in the eye. The View truly disgusted me and I for one will never watch this disgusting show again.

RONNIE   September 15th, 2008 9:01 am ET

DUH! Cindy McCain sounds as stupid as John McCain ! You go on The View and you know only the deraged blonde is on your side.So it is not like you didn't know what was going to happen you pampered rerpublician!

They just want the world to think OBama is the man—

> Why can't these talk shows, news anchors, and commentators can ask some hard questions to Obama.

Ever hear of Bill O'Reilley and Fox Network? Word is that he did an hard interview with Mr. Obama. But again, don't let any facts get in the way of your convoluted argument…after all, that is a Republican trait.

MCS   September 15th, 2008 8:58 am ET

Apparently Carl Rove now agrees with what Behar said.

Chris S.   September 15th, 2008 8:58 am ET

The View understands that womens issues are at stake this election. Although they probably supported Hillary Clinton in the primaries, they understand that having Hillary in office in 2012 is meaningless if all the supreme court justices are republicans. They will overturn all womens rights.

Mike   September 15th, 2008 8:57 am ET

I hardly think that they 'picked your bones' Cindy. I don't remember anything about your husbands sleazy divorce, your shacking up with him while he was still married or your stealing drugs from your own charity that were supposedly meant for children.

I don't remember anything about the Keating 5, the fact that W himself questioned your husbands sanity during the 2000 election or the questions about his extra marital affairs as early as this year.

No doll… hardly picking those bones clean. You have plenty of skeletons in the closets of your multiple homes – drag out a few and let us have a good run at them. THEN you can whine.

Mark   September 15th, 2008 8:57 am ET

For some reason when I watch Cindy give a speech it looks to me like shes trying out for American Idol the way she moves her head and her hand gestures I dont like that. Im not saying what she is talking about isnt intresting but it makes it very hard for me to watch her speak

Deborah, Denver CO   September 15th, 2008 8:57 am ET

How pathetic that so many of you even watch The View. While I only saw the CNN clip – hooray for the McCain's! Why should anyone have to answer to how many homes they have? We have more than one home and that is our business – we've worked hard for them. Enough about me….Joy Behar is abnoxious, not funny, and just plain stupid. I'm not sure if I am ranting about this ridiculous show or the comments made about McCain. Either way, I have just wasted three minutes of my time to tell all of you View Watchers that you need to get a life. Enough said.

Dianne   September 15th, 2008 8:57 am ET

The questions posed on the view were valid. However, the host did not even allow the McCains to answer. The atmosphere was hostile as well. Whoppi could not even look at the McCains and showed such enormous disrespect towards both of them.

The ladies of the View merly displayed their hatred towards the McCains and love affair with the Obama's. They also showed the world that they are not true professional journnalist either.

John from Atlanta, GA   September 15th, 2008 8:57 am ET

Let's talk about Sarah Palin's relationship with AIP (Alaska Independent Party) before you even think about coming "clean".

Why is the media so silent about this? Why didn't Charlie Gibson asked her about it?

Oh Poooooleeeezzzze!   September 15th, 2008 8:57 am ET

Don't worry Cindy, I'll vote for you, you're no Barbie Doll Stepford wife, are you?

Irene   September 15th, 2008 8:56 am ET

I would have liked to see MORE interview questions from the Ladies.

Just WHAT ARE McCain's views on birth control? Joy asked a question and McCain's answer had me wondering just which side of the fence he is on regarding that subject!

OBAMA / BIDEN 08

akamoke   September 15th, 2008 8:56 am ET

The view asked some questions and they didnt like it…aw well!!!
To be fair, I think the Obamas should have been hammered with questions that may put them on the spot as well

Having said all this, anyone who would vote for/against a candidate based on what they have watched on the View or any other programs shows what is wrong with America, we must have the most intellectually lazy electorate out there..This is the information age, get your information on the candidates independently..Too much spin on TV these days and I get turned off by all of them from Fox news to MSNBC to even CNN..

Nobody reports news anymore, we just have some anchors who have an overbloated view of themselves,…I don't care about your opinions, just report the facts

Renee   September 15th, 2008 8:56 am ET

CNN why are most of the Repulican comments not making it on the message board? I know the media is extremely Democratic but this is wrong. It looks like there is an extreme amount of Obama supports, not many McCain/Palin supports. I have sent several different Repulican views and they never make it on. Sad that the Democrats are now running scared when at first they thought Obama would just step into the White House with no problem. Think again, there will be a tough road afterall and it feels good.

Bob From Boston   September 15th, 2008 8:56 am ET

William Rutlin   September 15th, 2008 8:56 am ET

So Cindy McCain is actually criticizing the press for doing exactly what they're supposed to do? The American public is buying this bash the press line without reservation. What nobody seems to realize is that without an active, independent press yet another pillar of our democracy goes down. I watched Stephanopoulos with dismay this weekend as he let his guests cut into one another and he didn't make one effort to correct the facts or press either of them on misinformation. He's basically useless if he doesn't stand up to lies. This goes for the press as a whole. Hallelujah if it took the ladies of The View to finally ask some tough questions!

AdamW   September 15th, 2008 8:56 am ET

"They are now seeing a clear difference with these candidates, and they are seeing who is going to make the best president"

Awwww….the press doesn't like you, you got asked tough questions you had to be honest about, you got called out for lies…wahhh, wahhh, wahhh.
This is why our nation is a bunch of winers. Our leaders set a fine example.

John McCain is a tool for the corrupt Republican party.

Its amazing cnn only posts pro democrat postings. Shocked, im sure this message will never make it because the media controls the reality. McCain has my vote, I do not agree with Obamas stance on taxes which he says he will lower but if you read his proposal. Im sure the liberals are illiterate or wont read for themselves. He is raising taxes substantially. His green bill which he says can be done in 10 years he can only run for 8 he can claim anything at the end that it was the next candidate who messed up his plan. There are so many immediate things that can be done. Obama and his camp have been lying. All they say is the word change and people scream. Its more "bull" and people are so gullable.

notetocindy   September 15th, 2008 8:55 am ET

Listen Cindy, honey, I've got an old husband, too. He's not quite as old as yours but I've got to tell you that, while he's very healthy, he's not quite as sharp as he once was. Don't tell him I said that, because he's got a temper, too. The thing is, I wouldn't want to have him take on the problems Bush is leaving for the next president to 'fix'. You've got to expect a man John's age to have a hard time hitting back at a bunch of menopausal women like Barbara and Joy and Whoopi. He just wasn't able to deal with the likes of them….so how do you propose he'll deal with the really scary world leaders he's got to deal with if he becomes president? And your hubby isn't even going to have a VP he can lean on when things get tough. It's a bad situation.

I didn't think the ladies on The View asked tough questions. It appeared a bit awkward for the McCain's when asked about their houses they own, but that's about it. I just think that they are not in touch with America, as most politicians in Washington aren't. Ask them when the last time they actually pumped gas into their car.

For heaven sake that man has never been truthful about anything, lied about his age (to Cindy), lied and disrespectful to his first wife, lied about his time in Vietnam, and numerous lies like standing on the dangerious street of Bahgdad and telling the TV audience that it was so safe that anyone could walk around with out security … Guess what he had about 100 marines guarding him and helicopters! When exposed, he said "I misspoke" McCain is a habitual liar! We want a leader that is trust worthy because, Bush's lies is costing Americans 300 million dollars each day, 400 billion dollars for interest on monies borrowed from China, Saudi Arabia, Japan etc! McCain has lied on almost everything regard his VP choice! The entire world's economy is at the brink of something tragic! Enough is Enough and we do not want another 4 more years of George Bush, it is time to give Obama and his team who are the true change agents chance to start the healing process!

Anna   September 15th, 2008 6:58 am ET

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BARACK OBAMA AND SARAH PALIN WHEN IT COMES TO CHANGE:

ONE TALKS ABOUT IT.

ONE HAS BUILT A VERY SHORT CAREER DOING IT.

Obama talks about reform, but his career does NOTHING to back up his promise that he will.

Sarah Palin ROCKS, and Joy Behar knows it.

From Hillary to Obama - Go OBAMA!!!!   September 15th, 2008 6:56 am ET

It would have really gotten tough if the ladies would have asked Mccain about how he did his prior wife after coming back as POW. The Mccains now see how it feels to answer tough questions. If they lost a job, home, or had to pick to pay for food or gas, they would be more in touch with the american people!

Robert   September 15th, 2008 6:56 am ET

You know Cindy my parents always told me this, "If you tell the TRUTH, then there is nothing to remember." But as long as your husband, Palin, and You, continue down this path of lies, then you better keep a ledger of all the lies so you can go back to remember.

WTV   September 15th, 2008 6:54 am ET

Cindy Darling – your guy is not ahead. Despite the lying ads, the Palin magic trick, and the Rove Machine – YOU ARE NOT AHEAD.

Statistical dead heat – after the debates – it's over. Just don't rig this election Republicans. Watch the voting machines (Diebold and Premier). Check your vote receipt.

AMERICA is smarter than Karl Rove, and MUCH smarter than you and McCain (well, most Americans).

Give into Hope – not Hate.

Doyle - MI   September 15th, 2008 6:54 am ET

Must be some meat left on the bones since McCain didn't answer all the questions.

sharilyn rider   September 15th, 2008 6:54 am ET

It is about time the American people wake up to the reality of the McCains. When a candidates wife wears clothes and jewelry one time that equals (in dollars) to more than working people earn in one year something is wrong! Why should we support them? Their ideas are to give more to the wealthy and take away from the working people. The Republicans have always claimed to be the the party of morals. Where is the morality in that. Vote Obama!

Susan   September 15th, 2008 6:53 am ET

Cnn is blocking again becuse they don't like being critcized for giving McCain frees advertising. As far as Cindy McCains comments, does che want some cheese with that whine? The questions were fair and accurate, it was McCain who could not answer them other than to continually repeat his lies!

roe v wade   September 15th, 2008 6:52 am ET

HE SAID iT! I WISH IT WAS OVER TURN ROE V WADE! AND LET THE STATES DEAL WITH IT. OMG! I DO NOT WANT ANYBODY TELLING ME WHAT TO DO WITH MY BODY!!! MCCAIN MUST OF LOSS HIS MINE! WOMEN WAKE UP! I LOVE MY RIGHTS WHAT ABOUT YOU?

Anne   September 15th, 2008 6:51 am ET

YES….Just WHEN IS CNN GONNA COVER THE ANTIPALIN RALLY IN ALASKA!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD QUESTION>>NOW LETS HAVE A GOOD ANSWER!!!!!!!

Ron   September 15th, 2008 6:50 am ET

Note to the McCains: Run an honest campaign and you wont have these sort of problems. Some of your husbands most loyal supporters are coming out and saying John McCain is running a bad campaign. Others are saying his policies are not good for this country.

pat   September 15th, 2008 6:49 am ET

CNN when will you ever post a consevative view. Your are so far left see cant see the middle !

jeff   September 15th, 2008 6:46 am ET

I dont really think cnn will post this, but…I watched and listened to the view. What they did to the Mcains was dispicable.. they treated the Obamas like gold, falling all over them.It was the worse case of unfairness and meaness I have ever seen on converage of the Mcaines.Shame on you View. You just turned me over to vote against Obama. I really saw the light on the media bias every one is talking about. I am totaly disqusted.

Jim   September 15th, 2008 6:46 am ET

Yeah its true, anyone with brains would see through this BS with the Republicans, funny, no more talk of experience concidering you got Biden with 36 years or so of service and Palin….ah….ahhhh…..yeah so exp is right out the window, cute try fellaz.. I also find it amusing myself the View is more aggresive in questioning then the reporting going on. They ask how many houses again!!! picked your bones clean??? wow. Wah wah wah wah wah, let me guess puma….this was sexist too?? wait…..where is puma….funny after all the circulating emails on experience and all that bs and now Palin as VP, may as well be spears……wheres puma?? your so intelligent where did you go?? cat got your tongue? alot of empy kitchens in America these days without ya. Yeah and the fox news comment, that might as well be their bible concidering they dont read the real one. Can tell when they rejoice over the VP when the daughter is 17 with a kid, wait, lets make excuses for her right??? its normal right??? WRONG AS USUAL!. if woman are getting involved….start opening some books or tabloids, this isnt reality tv.

Tell It Like It Is   September 15th, 2008 6:46 am ET

I don't know why the MCCAIN"S CAN"T READ THE OBAMA SIGNAGE OVER THE DOOR OF THE VIEW.

Cindy, this is not worthy of a complaint when they have been just barely tolerant of you in the past.

Bishop   September 15th, 2008 6:45 am ET

Thank goodness Cindy Called a vulture what it is. These people are just looking for ratings and don't care who they slice and dice to get them. Even if it means slicing each other. This is one of the main reasons I quit watching tv 4 years ago. The online papers let you pick over which lies you want to absorb in a fraction of the time.

Ron L   September 15th, 2008 6:44 am ET

They DID NOT pick their bones clean…
They asked some VERY tough questions. I find it amazing that in our current politcal discourse candidates FEEL they should be able to make ads that say just about anything negative they want and not have to respond to it.
THE REAL DEAL is the McCains were surprised!!! They thought there was only going to be light chatter and it turned out to be much more serious than that. They FORGOT how tough an interviewer Barbra Walters can be.
The FACTS are:
The McCain commercials AND the Repupblican Party has been much more negative and actually mean spirited in their tone. Which is actually NORMAL for their party.
The McCain campaign has selected Gov. Palin as the Senators running mate. Many seasoned political observers do not feel she has the experience for the position and the fact that she has only been allowed to give ONE interview since being chosen MAKES IT appear that they are correct. After all would you really keep a person that IS well versed away from interviews…I think not.
The Republicans KNOW for a fact. IF the American public continues to be distracted away from the REAL differences in the policies and how poorly the Republicans performed when they were in charge. Senator McCain chances of winnig increases.
The American electorate should demand, because it deserves, more one on one interviews between Gov. Palin with a minimum of 6 different major news anchors in the next 4 weeks. We need to see how this potential V.P. woulld address some of these key events challenging both our country and the world in her own words. Not made up sound bits she has been taught to memorize be the campaigns speech writers.

Eric From SD   September 15th, 2008 6:43 am ET

Whoopi's comment was the most unintelligent thing I've ever heard. Slavery? Are you kidding me? I think this really showed John McCain's self control, because if that were me I would have slapped all those female dogs.

DENNIS   September 15th, 2008 6:40 am ET

Get use to it. People are not stupid. I watched as Cindy McCain cringed while Whoopi Goldberg asked about the Constitution. Do you really think that everyone is "falling in Love" with Palin? Reality checks: Not all Hockey Moms, Nascar Dads, blue collar white men, are going to automatically vote for McCain/Palin. You have to EARN peoples's respect and trust.

Kevin   September 15th, 2008 6:40 am ET

The headline, the picture. All subtle but obvious that CNN is the Obama News Network. CNN has lost all news credibility.

Reality   September 15th, 2008 6:40 am ET

The View only brought the truth out of the McCain's; something that the news media wouldn't dare do. We, the people, need the View to do for us what Fox News, CNN or MSNBC wouldn't dare do for us.

Dan in Tigard, OR.   September 15th, 2008 6:39 am ET

A little cheese with that whine? The View too tough….lmao.

Mccain Palin=Bush   September 15th, 2008 6:39 am ET

Well YOu get asked tough Question when You run a Campaign on smears and Lies that is the Consequence I wish the News media will do there Jobs and start reporting the Fact instead of the Lies that the Mccain campaign Puts out. Obama supportere Donate to Obama so we can have a 80 Million Dollar Month then we can Fight the Decitful, Slimy, Excuse for a Campaign Mccain is runnning. Obama Biden 08

lollerscates   September 15th, 2008 6:38 am ET

lol @ CNN. Did they do that on purpose? Put a picture of Cindy McCain looking like a flesh-eating zombie next to a headline about the picking clean of bones, I mean. Kudos if so!

Ray   September 15th, 2008 6:38 am ET

Seriously, if the media had been as marginally aggressive as this little fluff of a show was, we would not be in the situation in Iraq that we are now in. The media just nodded and smiled at whatever Shrub would say, and now, here we are.

McCain and Co. think that if they say something loud enough and long enough that it'll become true.

Morris Graham   September 15th, 2008 6:38 am ET

Then again, you wouldn't know the truth if it "picked your bones"…

Morris Graham   September 15th, 2008 6:37 am ET

The truth hurts, dosen't it?

Eric   September 15th, 2008 6:36 am ET

I guess nobody told Whoopie (that well known constitutional scholar) when she asked about being a slave again that the constitution was amended BY THE PEOPLE to prohibit slavery and to provide the vote to women, etc. The PEOPLE change the constitution, the judges apply it. Why is that so hard to understand.

As for Bayhar, she's just ignorant of facts. Sad, but common for those on TV. Go Cindy go.

DEM   September 15th, 2008 6:34 am ET

Someone finally had the guts to ask the real questions, and put McCain on the hotseat. I applaud The View, and am now a fan.

Jon   September 15th, 2008 6:33 am ET

At the end of the day, when everyone's bones are picked clean, the thing that matters is who is going to get things accomplished, for ALL of America and not just the Dems or Repubs. The record shows that man to be John McCain, who has worked with both parties nearly an equal amount of time (actually, he's worked with Dems more often) to enact legislation.

Tony   September 15th, 2008 6:33 am ET

Ciny McCain is a whiner, an elitist and a fraud.

JOn   September 15th, 2008 6:31 am ET

Oh wow, they "picked your bones clean" by asking tough questions, get a grip lady.

R G   September 15th, 2008 6:31 am ET

gotta a little fiesty when asked about the truth

A Nuffer   September 15th, 2008 6:31 am ET

Yup!!! And you deserved every delightful minute of it!!! Sorry, Cindy, your husband has a poor view of women, including you! Most women, with brains, can see right through McCain's campaign.
Picking Palin as his running mate will not have "smart" women swarming to your side!!! The women who do vote for your husband are intelectual bozos and right wingers and spend the day glued to Fox news watching the man behind the curtain, Karl Rove, run another sleazy campaign. In 2000, I actually wanted your husband to win! I just dumpted his biography in the trash because that is where his campaign belongs.

Andrea   September 15th, 2008 6:29 am ET

Is this the most important news story out there? Really CNN lets report real news on a day that the stock market is poised to take a dive. Leave this and all other garbage stories like it for TMZ. Mrs. McCain let's talk about the real issues….Oops , I forgot that may be a stretch for the tired campaign your side is running!!! Good for The View for having the cojones to do what no one else seems to want to!!!

Jim Smith   September 15th, 2008 6:29 am ET

It's OK, Cindy. If the economy is bad, we'll all just eat cake.

Adam S   September 15th, 2008 6:29 am ET

If the people on The View are not saying or believing what the American people are saying or believing…. Why did John McCain go on in first place?

bryan San Ramon   September 15th, 2008 6:26 am ET

I watched and she is right. Whoopie was totally uncalled for in her remark about "So are you going to make me a slave again." She has never been a slave! I mean come on I know she only said it for the shock factor, but really aren't we all tired of the racism speak that is going on the Obama side.

McCain/Palin end the Obama madness! (From a former Hillary Democrat!)

Brenda   September 15th, 2008 6:26 am ET

When is the View going to get tough with the Obamas?

cherie watson   September 15th, 2008 6:25 am ET

I have had so many issues with "The View" I have written to the station many times. The only people with any sense is Elizabeth and Barbara. Or at least they are not disrepectful to their guests. As is the red head, don't know her name don't like her attitude at all.

JLB   September 15th, 2008 6:24 am ET

I watched The View and didn't see any questions that were unfair. Why does everyone think that we have to tip toe around when asking questions of someone who wants to run the country. Unless they are hiding something they should be able to answer the questions that were asked without any problem.
I'm tired of Palin saying she refused The Bridge to Nowhere, but doesn't bother to mention that she also kept the money. That lie alone has caused me to reconsider voting for McCain and I now plan to vote for Obama
By the way Cindy just how many houses do you have?? A question she wouldn't answer on The View.

Mike in Missouri   September 15th, 2008 6:21 am ET

Maybe if your husband didn't exacerbate the situation by airing falsifying ads in retaliation to not getting his way. It's childish and sickening and most intelligent people will see through it….and they are.

Truth Hurts from Liberty Island ; )   September 15th, 2008 6:21 am ET

An adulteress who comes out defending her lying husband…
This is like good crumbs for stool pigeons, ..you'll find them in all these red states, …uneducated salty people only trusting the lies of one of their own,
"In spite of what they see, that not what the Americans are saying "??ha ha ha . SAD

Good christians would never buy that crap – Besides all the momentum around Piglin is gonna vanish comes Oct 2nd, you mark my word kiddie!

Karen   September 15th, 2008 6:19 am ET

…And by the way, there Cindy, that IS in fact what "regular working" Americans ARE saying. But you and your husband are so elite that you don't drive your own car, don't know what a gallon of gas costs, and you've even lost count of how many houses you own. You are so out of touch, you have absolutely no idea what real working people are thinking or saying.

Laurie from Columbus   September 15th, 2008 6:19 am ET

Ha! If a few moms on The View are too intense for McCain, maybe he should consider a career change. What a delicate flower he is.

Brandon - Gahanna, Ohio   September 15th, 2008 6:18 am ET

Guess we'll see how long McCain can deceive people. I've seen through their ruse by doing my own research on both candidates. The day Cindy McCain is First Lady will be a sad, sad day for America. I wonder how hard it would be to move to Australia…

LnGrrrR   September 15th, 2008 6:18 am ET

Does what Cindy McCain said even make sense? "In spite of what you see…" huh? So she's mad at The View for asking tough questions? What is she objecting to?

Susan   September 15th, 2008 6:17 am ET

Wake up Cindy. The View reflects exactly what Americans are saying and that is how they feel. Good luck this week. Hopefully, the failure of Lehman Bros. will wake up the rest of the Americans!!!!!!!! The Republicans are responsible for this failure and the economy as a whole. It is time for a REAL CHANGE, not some change dreamed up by the lobbyists that work for your campaign.

Karen   September 15th, 2008 6:17 am ET

I don't usually watch "The View" and can't say I've been a fan. But if the major news organizations like CNN weren't so soft on these lousy candidates like McCain and Palin, the gals on "The View" wouldn't have to do all the work. Get with it, CNN. Stop being so soft on these guys. Stop trying to sell us their "spin". Stop handing McCain so much free advertising. Get in there and do your job, ask the tough questions. Give voters the facts.

JulesT   September 15th, 2008 6:16 am ET

Joy was right to do an integrity check on him, which I might add he failed misserably. Did you see how rude he was, and the look he gave her, basically he brushed her off; treating her like she didn't exist life. Poor Sarah, she may be a "baracuda" but in lament terms, she is more like the new barbie out of a box. His wife is condesending, and think we are ignorant; he has exhibited rude behavior towards her.

Please don't get me wrong, I think any gender can hold any office, I am woman myself and a veteran; I am just tired of some men treating women like a doll instead of who they are. I would like to know how he treated is fellow female soldiers if he had any contact with them.

Nyny   September 15th, 2008 6:15 am ET

…because Cindy is so in-touch with the average American's life.

Miri   September 15th, 2008 6:13 am ET

Things have been so easy for the McCain camp. The MSM hasn't called them out on their lies so some women did and they're having a hard time with it. I'm still waiting for the MSM to start calling out McCain on his lies – I won't hold my breath. MSM is completely afraid of the Republican Party. Cindy McCain is someone who has had it easy her whole life and can't understand why it should be any other way for the princess! She makes want to vomit!

xddy4u   September 15th, 2008 6:10 am ET

After this Election, no matter who wins, I'm going to burn my voter's registration card. I can't handle anymore of this. The media taking the most important election this country faces and turning it into a rating circus, simply to sell air time. Everything is a joke. Bloggers are blogging like lunatics. After this election, hoping it will be my man Obama, I'll be over and out of all future elections. To H*LL with this BS.

Beverly   September 15th, 2008 6:10 am ET

Cannot figure out the type of people that watch "wombs w/ no view", good grief, get a job or a hobby. ABC loves the democrats, Cindy McCain should consider the source, I do.

Frank   September 15th, 2008 6:04 am ET

Hate to tell you Cindy, that is exactly what the American people are thinking and talking about. The lies your husband is telling are outrageous and he has lost my vote.

YOU are running scared.

M. Jan, Exton, Pa.   September 15th, 2008 6:04 am ET

Cindy Mcain, this is America not North Korea, here We Americans expose the lies and tell the Truth and that's why this country still has the blessing of God despite lies( God does not like lies) , hate of Republicans.

Linda-Omaha   September 15th, 2008 6:03 am ET

is there a reason cnn will NEVER post one of my comments??, you could just email me and let me know-it looks suspicious.

KofTX   September 15th, 2008 6:02 am ET

I can't even take the McCains seriously…

AngieS   September 15th, 2008 6:02 am ET

It's about time somebody "picked their bones clean"!! If the American public are actually believing the lies and rubbish that the McCain campain is spouting then perhaps we all deserve 4 more years of the same. I think interviewers need to be even tougher on these guys. Don't let these people who have no connect with reality – who do not represent the vast majority of the people of our country – get away with this, again!

Obama/Biden '08!!

Ted   September 15th, 2008 5:58 am ET

Cindy is not the average American! She regularly wears well over $100,000 worth of cloths and jewrlery. Then when her poor hubby gets asked fair questions and doesn't know how to answer we get this?! She is totally out of touch with average America.

pmn   September 15th, 2008 5:55 am ET

CNN, why no coverage of the anti-palin rally in Alaska?
