CNN POLL OF POLLS: McCain's convention bounce gone

McCain is dead even with Obama in CNN's poll of polls.
McCain is dead even with Obama in CNN's poll of polls.

(CNN) – The bounce John McCain received in national opinion polls following his party's convention and the selection of Sarah Palin to the GOP presidential ticket appears to have evaporated, a new CNN poll of polls suggests.

In the latest CNN survey of several recent national polls, Obama and McCain are locked in a dead heat at 45 percent each with 10 percent who remain undecided with 50 days remaining until Election Day.

“When we average the latest national polls, it is increasingly clear that neither candidate has any serious momentum at the moment,” said CNN Senior Political Researcher Alan Silverleib. “The convention bounces have faded and left us with a dead heat. Even though we are now in the final stretch of this historic marathon campaign for the presidency, the White House is still genuinely up for grabs.”

CNN's latest poll of polls consists of three recent surveys: Newsweek (September 10-11), Gallup (September 12-14), and Diageo/Hotline (September 12-14). It does not have a sampling error.

We have a VP candidate who thinks seeing Russia from Alaskan soil gives her insight into Russia.

FOR THE SAKE OF OUR NATIONAL SECURITY, this is NOT a horse race to won or lost on the abortion issue.

Democrats tell all your friends and family to register to vote, let's stir up our Country. voteforchange.com. We can't afford the next 4 years be about abortion, guns, race baiting, pigs in lipstick, folksy clothes and cuff links, Paris Hilton, pageants, or OJ, we need some real dialogue in this country.

The republicans bounce had to do with the fact that we were all interested in knwoing who the hell Palin was but now that we know- we know better-- Obama will win by a LANDSLIDE, as Bill Clinton predicted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only place for McSame to go is down. The bubble has burst. Palin is a joke foisted on the American people by a man who will do and say anything to get a vote.

Palin (when mayor of Wasilla) took a small town with a balanced budget and "reformed it" so that when she left, that same town was $20 million in debt.

This is Reform WE DO NOT NEED FOR THE UNITED STATES.

Also, Fiorina as an advisor? She ran HP into the ground and outsourced all those jobs. DO YOU REALLY WANT MORE OF THE SAME? Your choice.

It is hard to believe anything that CNN puts out anymore. Your biased desire for Mccain has worn out many of your ONCE loyal followers. The only reputable news any more is from the PBS networks. CNN and FOXNEWS are ignored in my house and many others due to biased and favoritism of you two networks and YOUR favorites.

Of course it is! This was a dead heat before the conventions and it's a dead heat again.

Once again, our next president will be decided by a handful of states. This isn't democracy! This is insanity.

What's even more insane to me is that if this election were happening in ANY other country in the world, Obama would win by a landslide – 99% of the world can't be wrong. But here we are again, lone Americans, clinging to the belief that Republicans are FOR the people, while Dems are FOR the rich. Sticking the middle finger up to the rest of the world, rather than forging the types of relationships that WORK and foster economic prosperity.

Not a bad place for Obama to be, with 72 mil in the bank, all the new voters not counted yet, and a running mate that can actually walk the talk.

Give it a couple more days. It'll become obvious who the choice is.

McCain bounced outside the box a long time ago. Too old to be President, and he's proving it.

McCain's bounce isn't gone yet, he'll be down by five in a weeks time.

Out of touch on the economy.
Out of touch on foreign policy.

And with the Palin pick he put "campaign first" not country.

Vote Democratic in 2008, straight down the line.

Time to throw the bums out!

The giant sucking sound you hear is the air gushing out of the tires on the Straight Talk Express. People are starting to wake up from the Purple Palin induced haze.

I say GREAT! now lets talk about the issues. Is Sarah still cramming for the interviews or the debates? Hey, Sarah you better start learning Cantonese because if China ask for their money back, your gonna need it. (Oh God, we're going to be so screwed if you guys get it, and we're already sore.)
