Obama: Believe McCain? I've got a bridge to sell you in Alaska

Obama campaigned in Colorado Monday.
Obama campaigned in Colorado Monday.

GRAND JUNCTION, Colorado (CNN) – At the start of his western swing, Senator Barack Obama continued to paint John McCain as a creature of Washington, so steeped in the ways there that “change” under a McCain-Palin administration is impossible.

“It’s great that he now wants to talk about putting corporate lobbyists in their place. But he needs to explain why he put seven of them in charge of his campaign,” he said at an outdoor rally under a cloudless Colorado sky. “If you think those lobbyists are working day and night for John McCain just to put themselves out of business, well I’ve got a bridge to sell you up in Alaska.”

While Obama said McCain was not personally responsible for the current turmoil in Wall Street, he said the Arizona senator would continue the policies that put various financial institutions like Lehman Brothers on the brink.

“It’s a philosophy that says even common-sense regulations are unnecessary and unwise,” he said. “Now, instead of prosperity trickling down, the pain has trickled up - from the struggles of hardworking Americans on main street to the largest firms of wall street. This country can’t afford another four more years of this failed philosophy.”

Tightening poll numbers and excitement about the addition of Governor Sarah Palin to the Republican ticket have given the Obama campaign pause, and forced them to promise Democrats the party’s nominee would get tougher on the stump.

“These times are too serious, the stakes are too high to let the other side pull the same stunts and use the same scare tactics that they always to do. Because we know what the consequences are because we’ve lived them,” Obama said Monday. “We’ve seen them turn an entire campaign into a debate about swift boats and windsurfing. And what do you get when it’s over? Iraq and Katrina and a melt down on wall street and millions w/out jobs, or homes, or health care, pain at the pump. Enough, enough of this not this time not this year.”

Oh boy, so much for running a clean campaign. He needs to SHUT UP AND STOP POUTING when he gets what's coming to him.

CNN – we all know you love him – but please – shut your crybaby whineybuns up.

    Hey Obama:

We knew from Hillary that you weren't ready to be president...

We now know you won't be a comedian either!

PS. Sarah really wiped that smirk off your face for good.

Palin (when mayor of Wasilla) took a small town with a balanced budget and "reformed it" so that when she left, that same town was $20 million in debt.

Reform WE DO NOT NEED FOR THE UNITED STATES.

What has Obama said that we can believe? How many campaign promises will he break that he hasn't already broken? The one about not running a negative campaign? The one about relying on public financing?
Here's a clue about how to tell when Obama is telling a lie:
When his lips are moving, he's probably lying.

I hear Lehman Brothers is for sale, too. But of course, John McCain wouldn't understand any of that... If it doesn't involve guns, war, or lying, John McCain and Sarah Palin don't know much about it.

    They are low knowledge candidates.

Obama is right – 100%. If we vote the republicans back in the white house SOME of us will get what we deserve, but it's the rest of us that will suffer.

Obama IS the voice of reason in this campaign. John McLame has proven that he is so far out of touch with life in America that he'd need three flights and a limousine just to get a glimpse.

McCain spouting "change" is a joke, albeit not funny. He has done NOTHING to change Washington in all of his years there. He calls himself a "maverick".....yeah, right! The only time he went against party predeliction was when he co-sponsored the "amnesty" bill for illegal immigrants. I wouldn't brag about that one. And, does anyone really give a hoot about his running mate??? Sure, she has all the experience of a governor.......so did Bush; and we all know where that led; but, unless she's another Cheney (ready to pull the strings of the puppet), she should be nothing but an afterthought.

A party that is viewed as the official party of big business and finance will undoubtedly favor legislation and deregulation that is favorable to those industries. And you wonder why we are in the mess we're in?

Trickle Down Economics is dead. It doesn't work. Those with money are only interested in making more money, using tools such as outsourcing to further their gains. So much for nationalism, they are selling the country out from under our feet. If this economic plan hasn't worked in 8 years, it's not going to work in another 4 years.
