If you choose to have sex and get pregnant, then you should have the responsibility to either raise the child or put it up for adoption. It's not a 'lump of cells', it's not something you can throw away! You want to demonize those who willfully murder people, yet you feel a woman should have the right to commit murder just because she doesn't want to be burdened? Guess what, if you're grown up enough to have sex, you should be grown up to face the consequences. But then again, that's the Dem/Lib mantra - why take responsibility, let someone else do it.

Abortion is a very important topic. I bet if we stopped all abortions in America, that would allow people losing their homes and their jobs to avoid both of these horrible experiences. Furthermore, halting abortions will get us out of a billion dollar a month war in Iraq and Afghanistan. It will bring back to life the thousands who died in Iraq and heal the 40,000 sick and wounded men and women who served in this useless conflick. I bet the honest and brainy Sarah can use abortion to keep us from entering into a war with Russia and Iran. And it will allow us to get more than 3% (honest Sarah says 20%) of the nation's oil from the great state of Alaska. And finally it will solve all of our economic woes. What a team we have in control of this country once ancient and clueless are elected. You, who vote for them deserve everything you get.

Even the 527 groups have to LIE about Obama's record to have any kind of "convincing" argument. Anyone with a brain could acknowledge that no self respecting would want to leave a born alive infant to die. Obama is against late term abortions except in the case that threatens the life of the mothers. Let's think about this. Would it make any sense that Obama would support legislation that would mandate that a born alive infant be left to die? Keeping in mind that this late term abortion is only being done to save the life of the mother. The LIEs about Obama's view of abortion don't make any logical sense.

Once again, the radical pro-life movement is confusing pro-choice with pro-abortion. As Obama has said many times, he is not "pro-abortion" -- and who would be? Giving the choice to women to make their own decision does not mean you advocate the practice. This is also the height of hypocrisy by Republicans who claim to want "smaller government" and want to give the states the choice about regulating their citizens, but want to make abortion illegal on a national level. They cannot have it both ways. If the wealthy are to be given the choice on how to spend and invest their money, then I should have the choice about how to deal with a pregnancy that may have been the result of rape or incest.

Waste of money. The hardcore abortion voters are already going to vote for their grandpa. This ad is a total distortion of the truth. The core of the bill was to try to revert Roe v Wade in Illinois (like S. Dakota tried to do). The bill contained some provision about resuccitation of aborted fetuses. Like almost everyone else in the Senate (something like 85%), the bill was shot down. That does not mean Obama wants to kill your baby you rightwing nutbags. Also, I love how you claim Obama has no experience and then raise issues on bills he voted on a decade ago. Apparently more than a decade in public office for the Fed government and one of the most populated states in the country doesn't work for you, but mayor of a town of 5,000 is so much better. Again, Republican supporters are stretching the truth. Senator Obama never voted against life saving measures for babies. His State already had that in effect. He simply voted against a bill that would have jeopardized Roe vs. Wade. I'm a Republican, and I'm tired of all these attack ads. With the economy in the tank, isn't there anything else Senator McCain can talk about. Oh, by the way, I do believe in abortion rights for the victims of rape and incest. Running ads like these only makes the Republican candidates look desperate!

Hate to date myself like this. But I was an Orderly working my way through college BEFORE Wade vs Roe. I remember the bad old days, when young women were dumped off at the emergency room door-near comatose from bleeding and infection. They had had the back-alley abortion with coat hangers and kerosene soaked rags.

They bled profusely (those who were not bled out) and had horrible infections. Many died. And to steal a line from "Man of LaMancha"– I held their hands at their last moment. I looked into their fever drenched eyes. They were not asking why they were dying, but why they had ever lived!

Hold their hand McShame and Palin. Look into their eyes as I have and tell them why they are dying.

I love Republicans like Mary (one of the commenters). They're all about protecting fetuses, but they have no problem killing adults, either through unnecessary wars or capital punishment. Nor do they have any problem with kids being subjected to lead or other environmental toxins that leave them, not dead maybe, but diminished to the point of being unable to live a full life.

Republicans are such idiots. I'm more pro-life then they are. Though I some what support abortion I think that other alternatives should be used when necessary. Unlike republican "pro-life" I don't support the death penalty, you know when the person that is being killed is actually aware of it's mortality. I also don't support war, where republicans are sure happy to go in and kill God knows how many people. Even one of these people even made a comment earlier that Democrats support infantcide but not the death penalty. Um I'm pretty sure both are life, so using the term "pro-life" is only a little true...really only for one issue.

In 1977 Obama was in high school if my math is correct. This woman's mother is the one that had the abortion.I received an e-mail stating Obama supports beating fetses in the head until they die in such abortions. The lies must stop. Bill Clinton was pro-choice, my young daughter was told by a friend at the tender age of 6 that he killed babies. Distortion and fear monguling is the Republican parties way. Women have a choice and should continue to have a choice. Thier decisions are thier own personal one's, not something for poitician's to play with.
