WASHINGTON (CNN) - Lynn Forester de Rothschild, a prominent Hillary Clinton supporter and member of the Democratic National Committee’s Platform Committee, will endorse John McCain for president on Wednesday, her spokesman tells CNN.

The announcement will take place at a news conference on Capitol Hill, just blocks away from the DNC headquarters. Forester will “campaign and help him through the election,” the spokesman said of her plans to help the Republican presidential nominee.

Forester was a major donor for Clinton earning her the title as a Hillraiser for helping to raise at least $100,000 for the New York Democratic senator’s failed presidential bid.

In an interview with CNN this summer, Forester did not hide her distaste for eventual Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.

“This is a hard decision for me personally because frankly I don't like him,” she said of Obama in an interview with CNN’s Joe Johns. “I feel like he is an elitist. I feel like he has not given me reason to trust him.”

Forester is the CEO of EL Rothschild, a holding company with businesses around the world. She is married to international banker Sir Evelyn de Rothschild. Forester is a member of the DNC’s Democrats Abroad chapter and splits her time living in London and New York.

Mrs Lynn Whatever, Guest what? We are glad that you made this decision. Please don' t take it personal because frankly WE DON'T LIKE YOU EITHER. Lets see "CEO of EL Rothschild, married to international banker and lives in London and New York“ and you have the guts to call someone "an elitist". Get a life lady! Policies and personality. STUPID!

GREAT – Smart WOMAN!!!! – Guess the obama gang will resort to calling this lady a "Racist" – back to that old trick. Anyone will not vote for this Fraud must be a racist. How can Bill Clinton even think of campaigning for this guy????? Hillary will do what she must – but – we can all see her heart is NOT in it. Like Hillary & Biden told us – "Obama is NOT qualified to lead our country" – and we believed them.

She splits her time out of the country. Good, endorse McCain, and then stay in London.

    We win. You lose.

Suck on it, Dems. You just lost someone really important. And who is able to give a lot of money and fundraise a lot for the RNC and for McCain.

Should have thought about it before spurning Hillary.

Wow, "Franly I just don't like him." I find it quite difficult to dislike someone that I do not know but most importantly, whatever happen to love thy neighbor as you love thy self....is she saying that she hate who she has become?

I see now why she's endorsing McCain....remember when McCain said that he would have Democrats to his office if he's elected. How did McCain courted Dobson, the evangelical and conservatives? The spoonful of sugar makes the McCain go down. Some republicans can't swallow McCain, his aides gave them syrup so that they can swallow him, the syrup is Palin. It really works.I'm registered republican, but I can't swallow McCain even with the help of syrup.

It seems confusing to me that someone with the last name "de Rothschild" would criticize someone else for elitism. If my memory of history serves, the Rothschilds were the wealthiest banking family in Europe for most of the 19th century, and the wealthiest family ever, if their value is adjusted for inflation. Their vast holdings - and the titles that accompany it - last until today.

So I don't think a European banking family is fit to determine which American leaders count are "elitist". We are all peasants compared to them.

What a bunch of whiners you people are. Oh, I forgot. The Democrats are a club and once you no longer tow the party line, off with your head. You guys make me laugh.

Now the log jam breaks. Leader of the Democratic party see Obama for what he is, a gibe talking empty suit. In these trouble times we cannot afford an inexperience president. There no time for on the job training. Ms. Rothschild is a true American when the future of America is on the line.

This woman's husband is a KNIGHTED member of the ROTHSCHILD family, and she is calling the self-made son of an immigrant an elitist? Reality check lady, your blood is bluer than Vermont.

Sounds like just another rich person looking out for her personal fortune. She may not like Barack but, what is to like about John McCain?

We have witnessed these past few weeks an old man that seems confused, uncaring and simply out of touch with reality.

This lady may vote for John McCain but, a lot of working republicans are going to vote for what is best for the country and that is Barack Obama.

I'd like to see Hillary Clinton give Forester de Rothschild her $100,000 back in a press conference across the street. This election is about issues and who would best lead the country with the values Hillary campaigned for. That person is Obama. To vote for anyone else it to say you don't care about Hilllary's values.
