It seems to me that when two people do not belong in the same room together. The best thing to do is to put them together to highlight how much one of them does not belong. It seems that a majority of the response on this sight are more concerned with an image and have forgotten the cause that Hillary was at one time willing to support.

Does this mean that it is impossible for Hillary and Republicans would ever support the same issue? Could anyone ever get elected if they were unwilling to support an issue simply because there opponent had taken a similar position no matter how good the cause? Or was this just a photo shoot for Hillary that really had no value to her personally?

I am in agreement with Senator Hillary Clinton for notifying the event organizier(s) that she will not be attending. Sarah Palin, Joe Biden, Senator McCain or Senator Obama in attendance would make that event more political in nature than what it is intended to be. For sure it would be more of a campaign photo-op. The next issue if find to be disturbing is, why would the GOP allow Gov. Palin to attend such function where she can give a stump speech for media consumption but refuse to allow her to be freely question by the media on the relevant issues and to face the music in her own state ligislature bipartisan (8 republicans and 4 democrats committee) inquirey of her handling of the firing of the State Public Commissioner. I am saying first thing(s) first. Clean out the closet of your own house (State concerns) before you should try to clean up the community centre (National concerns), this will show credibilty.

Palin wanted to be seen with Clinton so that the McCain campaign could show them "together" and sway more women voters..plain and simple..they don't really care what Clinton has to say about the issue on hand..
