I can't believe the fact that Palin is refusing to comply with an investigation.. suing the investigators, refusing to answer subpoenas is not having more of an effect on the polls.

Notice all of the new voters being registered. Who do you think they are votting for? I would like to think people with an open mind will see what is really happening and vote for Obama.

Do your research and see what is going on and who is causing the problems. Research what the candidates really do and what they stand for.

These two losing candidates are WITHIN THE MARGIN OF ERROR people. The polls only are saying that the American public is UNDECIDED.

Most people I talk to hate both choices and will either write in a candidate or will vote for a third party...

'nuf said? Neither candidate is offering solutions BEFORE the meltdowns. Oh, NOW they want to talk economy, bailouts and finance AFTER the most recent bailout. They don't want to explain how taking more of our tax money and giving it to these big corporations is really going to help us. Rather, they both are advocating programs to increase debt and ultimately our taxes!!!

I am not sure where these polls are being taken and by whom and to whom, but I am sure that they are not polling young people and cell phone users cannot be polled unless permission is given because it is illegal.

Most persons under the age of 35 do not have land lines. The majority of persons 35 and under that will vote and please vote will be for Senator Obama.

Don't let us down young persons, register and vote.

Palin will officially be chargedwith abuse of power...

She fired the poor trooper, because he wouldn't fire her ex-brother in law...
Now Republicans in Alaska are trying to block this investigation after already agreed on 10/10 date

The big prize "Texas" will turn Blue this election. Just watch...

These are McCain's exact words: "The issue of economics is not something I've understood as well as I should," McCain said. "I've got Greenspan's book." That's very scary.

Even if Obama wasn't leading in Poll of Polls he would win for four reasons...

1. YOUNG voters (like me)
2. Electoral College (heavily in Obama's favor)
3. McCain/Palin = WEAK campaign (the new Kerry/Edwards)
4. McCain = Bush, Palin = Joke (no...seriously)

There are more conservative democrats and republicans in America then liberal democrats. The people will vote thier beliefs not party. Obama now must fight dirty and look light what he is an opportunist.

Sorry to all of you who thought conservatives would not unite. Obama mania is over.

I don't know what's in peoples minds, how could we possibly vote for 4more years of the same. This country needs to go into a different direction for our future generations. And I see obama can provide us with this change. So,Obama has my vote.

Wow, what a difference a week makes!!! Palin was a media curiosity. The public are asking questions and are not getting answers. We need more that someone who can play the dozens (as we played in grade school). To put it simply, people are tired of the lies ans McCain and Palin are in over drive. John McCain is stuck with a liability that will ensure he loses the election.

I have come to the conclusion that this election, at least economically, is all about who the American people trust. Do we trust the private sector, or government, to fix our problems? With the recent market woes, people are wary of trusting Wall Street - too much greed. But we would rather trust our future to politicians in government? Heck, they've put us 9 trillion in debt and given us a 415 billion a year deficit. Do you realize that is $30,000 in debt for every man, woman, and child in America? And getting worse at the rate of $1000/year per man, woman, and child in America? Reign in big business, stop forcing them to give loans to people who can't pay it back, and cut spending. Let us be in control of our money instead of business or government.

Palin was suggesting in her interview with Gibson, that she will want to go to war with Russia! Yeap, she's ready to rule this country on Day 1! She's the governor of a state that was once Russia, so she is on Russia! So she's definitely qualified.... we'll have one more war with Russia, and then ruin the whole economy again. She can definitely bring that to America... more recession... more debts... she's ready! On day 1!

The reason Bush won in 2000 (in spite of Bill Clinton's popularity and 8 years of economic growth) is because Al Gore--a very strong candidate--ran a very weak campaign.

The reason a republican might win in 2008 (in spite of George W Bush's unpopularity and 8 years of economic uncertainty) is because Barack Obama--who ran a very strong campaign to win the nomination--is a very weak presidential candidate. This should be a slam-dunk election for the democrats.

The reason why our economy is crashing is because of Iraq all the money that was supposed to refuel the economy are been sent to Iraq while the economy is let alone to die. The consumers have no confidence in the market that is mean they will not spend and again the economy will struggle. John McCain does not understand that simple economics formular and stated that the economy is strong. I know that McCain pocket is strong because he is a rich man. But, our economy is not strong.

Huge economic problems tend to hurt the party in power, Two of them dont include the second bad wall street day and AIG. The other two dont even include the first day. Of course alot of people are going to say "not my problem'. But if we are talking about a change of 4-5 percentage points it will be significant.

Hey, wasn't McCain in the lead, oh that's right, he decided to bet on a woman without substance. Heck, Kay B. Hutchinson would have been a different story, but I'm sorry, Palin refuses to talk to the media. She refuses to cooperate with the law. (Hey she does have something in common with the Bush Administration after all)

The reality show starring Sarah P from Wasila is over. America has a very short attention span and it just shifted back to their pocketbooks. Wait until the end of the month when they get their savings statements from IRAs and 401Ks. You will see an Obama shift of 3 points.

Read the entire story from the front page. ALL states polled less than 1,000 registered voters (from previous elections that is...) THIS IS A JOKE. If Obama is leading with voters who voted in BUSH than when you factor in the NEW registered NON-LAND line voters---IT'S A LANDSLIDE!!!

National polls do not mean much, as its the state polls that should be looked at. And in reference to another thread, how about we STOP talking about Palin. Im completely Palin'ed out. Just about every thread on the Ticker mentions her, and its getting annoying. Shes a nobody, we should treat her like a nobody.

Do any swing state voters that went for Bush regret it now that his two terms have left us with this economy, war, debt , etc.? Compare where we are now with how those Iraq billions would have been spent, on green fuel, health care, jobs, shoring up social security, had the Dems won. The last Dem President left us with a surplus. The Republicans are leaving us the biggest debt ever, our standing in the world at a low, and an economy in shambles. TIts too risky to stick with these Republicans. The wealthiest 1% have done well, especially those that benefitted from the wars and deregulation, while the average American family is scared of what might happen next. Republicans are good at promising reform, that was Bush's promise, but did he deliver? Still, unless the swing state voters go Democratic, we will be further in the ditch we are in. I pray they take the time to think about how serious things are. I personally like McCain. He is a good guy.. But his beliefs and policies will take us into additional wars and we cannot afford it from a humanity or a fiscal point

Just read all the comments on the story about Palin answering a question from the press. If you haven't had the thrill, take a moment and scan through them and you will find the most hateful, vile, slimy, comments from the Obama piranha bloggers that you can even imagine. It's that way on all the stories. Is the person that attracts these vile slimeballs really the person you want for President? Definitely not me and I was originally on the fence until I started realizing all the hate that was being spewed by these leftist pukes. I'm sure it's the same for millions of other readers. Guess they're responding to Obambis message of "Hate"....or was that "Hope" Can't remember now.

I was just about to mention about the flag pin. Notice also that he's fidgeting with his wedding ring. He also wasn't wearing a flag pin during his acceptance speech at the convention. Wouldn't be such a big deal if he and the press hadn't made it so when Obama didn't wear one. These polls are pretty much meaningless. Let's see what they look like in a couple of weeks after McBush and Mistress Pain keep lying like they have been. How long before you start calling them on it?
