Palin calls Obama's economy attacks 'unfair'

Gov. Palin discussed the economy Wednesday in her second television interview with a major national media outlet.

Gov. Palin discussed the economy Wednesday in her second television interview with a major national media outlet.

(CNN) - Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin said Wednesday it was unfair of Barack Obama to attack John McCain after the Arizona senator said the fundamentals of the economy remain strong hours after a major investment bank filed for bankruptcy protection.

“Well, it was an unfair attack on the verbiage that Senator McCain chose to use because the fundamentals, as he was having to explain afterwards, he means our workforce, he means the ingenuity of the American people. And of course, that is strong and that is the foundation of our economy," Palin said in an interview with Fox News, her second sit-down with a reporter since being named to the Republican presidential ticket nearly three weeks ago.

“Certainly it is a mess though, the economy is a mess," Palin also said. "And there have been abuses on Wall Street and that adversely effects Main Street."

Less than 12 hours after the announcements banking giant Lehman Brothers went bankrupt and Merrill Lynch was being sold, John McCain told a Florida crowd, "People are frightened by these events - our economy, I think, still, the fundamentals of our economy are strong."

The Obama campaign immediately pounced on the comment. McCain said later in the day the strength he was referring to was that of the "American worker."

Oh, poo. Obama is mean boo hoo. This from the woman who entered the national stage with a hate-filled speech aimed not only at Obama, but at Michelle. She is evil.

And where is the precious baby- being raised on the airplane by government nannies? Or at home in Alaska being raised by big sister? I don't think that is a sexist question-if the Palins love their children so much, why is Todd with her and not with the kids? Then he could answer his subpoena. He seems like her bodyguard, and if she keeps up the facade of being a thinking woman while lying constantly, she may need one.

Sorry... here comes a very sexist comment by me..

Palin seems more like a cheerleeder having a party than a candidate taking this election seriously. Does she really believe what she's spewing? I can't believe even Palin can take McCain seriously.

CNN cracks me up these days... Under the headline "Palin takes Questions" they write:

Asked for "specific skills" she could cite to rebut critics who question her grasp of international affairs, she replied, "I am prepared."

"I have that confidence. I have that readiness," Palin said. "And if you want specifics with specific policies or countries, you can go ahead and ask me. You can play 'stump the candidate' if you want to. But we are ready to serve."

That was it. Period. Her response to a request for specifics. Hahahahahaha.

    You lefties can rationalize anything.

Put your hero worship on hold and consider:
*Obama has only been in the Senate for two years
*Obama is #3, ALL TIME, in receiving contributions from Freddie/Fannie.

The most disturbing part of leftist ideology is the affinity toward the "ends justify the means" ideology.

Although I know its not true, most of you guys behave like you received one of the little red books.

You gotta be kidding me! "UNFAIR"???? Isn't that like a word you use in kindergarten? Adults don't use that word. She needs to get a grip and realize that she is in politics. What's "unfair" is that we have had to put up with the media lovefest of her over these past two weeks. Boy, am I glad that's coming to an end.

    to Pollster...

Per capita.. many countries have a stronger economy than us. This is why our dollar has decreased in the international markets.

Sure... as a whole.. the US still produces the largest amount of commerce.. but many countries... Mostly European, and Japan of course, has a much higher income per capita than people here in the US.

By your argument.. Russia has a stronger economy than most of the world.. yet the overwhelming MAJORITY in Russia live in poverty.

Watch McCain over the next 40+ days as Obama beats the brakes off him. People are really dillusional and that is what is scary.

Sara Palin and Mccain are liar and deceivers. God will judge them. The only reason why Mccain pick Palin because of Big Oil. They want to Rob the American people some more. The entire campaign is full of lies and I cany beleive the amercican people is buying into the GOP. Palin needs to go home and learn how to be a mother and a wife. That is why she had an affair. McCain is a very insecure man who listen to Obama and try to use his words against him but it will not work. If it s was Obama under investigation he would nhave to resign for from the election. What a mess!!! LIES, LIES, LIES and MORE LIES. Everything in her administration is lies and deception. She has a jounalism degree and is a govern for about 10,000 people. OBAMA is an attorney .... No Comparison. MCaain cannot be compared to Biden. I think Mcain is senile...

I wonder if Palin will get the same treatment the mayor of Detroit got, or will the GOP pardon her and act as if nothing happened?

Don't vote in McCain Palin we will only have to Impeach them. That would be an extra strain on Americans during the change towards Socialism the GOP has started with the recent take overs

Vote Change Obama / Biden 08

Unfair? It was created by McCain's vote to end regulations. Obama proposed legislation to fix it 2 and a half years ago....McCain said no!
He is the "great non-regulator" He made his bed sleep in it!

CNN is the only beside the Pubs that are listening to het now.

I really wish Palin knew what she was talking about in case they win. I'm really scared of this ticket. She seems to have trouble even mirroring McCain's economic message (although I might have trouble doing that too – I can't tell what it is!)

It is just over a month to go until the election. Most people have already made up their mind as to who they are going to vote for. Unless a major taboo is made, it is down to the wire. ALL DEMOCRATS!!!!! CALL EVERY DEMOCRAT YOU KNOW AND REMIND THEM TO VOTE. MAKE SURE EVERYONE IS REGISTERED BEFORE OCTOBER 4TH!! IF WE WANT TO WIN WE HAVE TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE VOTES! For the first time in my life, I really feel like this election is a matter of survival.

McCain/Palin feels the economy is sound. John, you poor deluded fool, that sound is a crash. Your freinds, the rich Republicans backing you, have mismanaged companies right and left. You were told you are not smart enough to be a CEO by a woman who mismanaged her company to the point of ruin and then demanded and got a golden parachute to leave them before she bankrupted the comapany. And she thinks you and Palin are too stupid to do that well.

John, she is one of your most rabid supporters. Think how the rest of us feel about you.
