Prominent Clinton backer and Dem donor to endorse McCain

Lynn Forester de Rothschild was a strong supporter of Clinton's White House bid.

WASHINGTON (CNN) - Lynn Forester de Rothschild, a prominent Hillary Clinton supporter and member of the Democratic National Committee’s Platform Committee, will endorse John McCain for president on Wednesday, her spokesman tells CNN.

The announcement will take place at a news conference on Capitol Hill, just blocks away from the DNC headquarters. Forester will “campaign and help him through the election,” the spokesman said of her plans to help the Republican presidential nominee.

Forester was a major donor for Clinton earning her the title as a Hillraiser for helping to raise at least $100,000 for the New York Democratic senator’s failed presidential bid.

In an interview with CNN this summer, Forester did not hide her distaste for eventual Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.

“This is a hard decision for me personally because frankly I don't like him,” she said of Obama in an interview with CNN’s Joe Johns. “I feel like he is an elitist. I feel like he has not given me reason to trust him.”

Forester is the CEO of EL Rothschild, a holding company with businesses around the world. She is married to international banker Sir Evelyn de Rothschild. Forester is a member of the DNC’s Democrats Abroad chapter and splits her time living in London and New York.

Finally, the Democrats are getting smart! We McCain supporters are always called racists – but when you listen to the women on the View and the media in general – all I hear is bias comments towards Obama. Could it be that we McCain supporters actually support the guy because he has actual experience? I don't want to vote for a man who is running for President of the United States who has to rely on the man who is running for Vice President on his ticket for experience. It just does not make sense.

I've had it with all this garbage in the media. What people should be paying attention to are the facts and actual platforms these men are running on. And so far – Obama had done nothing but spout off Democratic rhetoric.

Obama and Biden has been talking about the ISSUES before McCain hired...ops...picked Palin to make woman fight against women. The media ran from Obama and Biden as they talked about the REAL SERIOUS ISSUES to cover this woman lies, attacks and false credits and experience she states she has. They were always taking about the issues until McCain approved ads that were full of LIES and he HAD to address them to fill in the lies with the TRUTH.

SO again Obama and Biden has and continue to talk about the real ISSUES we face, it's just that the media has dominated the air waves with this pit bull who was sent to lie and cheat to steal VOTES from the American voters.

Really, no one cares! Isn't that the pot calling the kettle an "elitist?" How much did she get paid for this stunning endorsement?

I love the comments.... She doesn't like Obama?? Then she must be a racist.

How about Obama has no experience, a shady background, has absolutely no understanding of the economicy, and wants create change by growing government & taxing everything that breathes. Hillary was at least pragmatic and attempted to be centrist. Besides, John McCain is about as moderate of a Republican as you could get. It is not that far of a stretch.

This is part and evidence of the deal brokered by the Clintons and McCain. The plan is to undermine Obama by covertly throwing their (Clintons) support behind McCain (the '18 million' Hillary supporters included) to ensure that he wins this term in office (he hinted he will serve only one term if he wins), thereby paving the way for Hillary to run for office in 2012. An Obama loss in 2008 would justify Hillary and her supporters claim that she is the better 2008 candidate and equally so for 2012. Keep your eyes and ears open. There is more to come.

Hmmmm, I just love how people are getting so smart about covering up their obvious racism. "I just don't like him" Oh, but because he's an elitist, no because he's a black man of course! It doesn't make sense, he was raised by a single mom, married a lady from the southside of Chicago, went to school on loans, the elitist argument doesn't hold up!!! You just "don't trust him" Come on guys, read between the lines...................................................

You know, I voted Republican in the past, even volunteered to try to get Dole and (to my shame) W elected. And this year I'm voting for Obama. But you don't see my face plastered all over the news as a former Republican going Democrat.

Obama is an elitist? I think the weight of the pearls around her neck are cutting off the blood flow to her head.

    --------------------------------

If she doesn't like him, the decision shouldn't have been hard...nor important to the rest of America...who cares what she thinks? Obama has gotten PLENTY of donations from regular people so he doesn't really need her....

People are not racist just because they do not like Nobama! Had he worked his way to the presidency like the rest have(and I'm not talking about campaigning!) people would have respect for him. Bottom line is that he is trying to get there with a bumper sticker slogan! Too bad americans are as gullible as they are!

It is so sad to see and hear that if you do not like Obama and are not voting for him you are automatically labelled a RASCIST. Ridiculous!!Everbody has the freedom to vote for whoever they want and feel comfortable with. Yes they are some rascists outthere but rascism is also black against white. I am of a mixed race just like him but I am not voting for him because I do not think that he is the right person for this job with the US in the mess that it is in right now. Get some experience and come back in the next four or eight years but not right now. As for you Obama supporters you are the most hateful, and ignorant people. With your ugly remarks against Hillary Clinton and John McCain/Palin you are only hurting his cause – not helping.
