McCain is out with a new ad criticizing Obama's economic policies.

(CNN) – Barack Obama's economic policies would severely worsen the country's economic woes, a new John McCain ad says - the Arizona senator's third television spot in as many days dealing with the economy.

"When our economy's in crisis, a big government casts a big shadow on us all," the ad's narrator states. "Obama and his liberal Congressional allies want a massive government, billions in spending increases, wasteful pork. And, we would pay - painful income taxes, skyrocketing taxes on life savings, electricity and home heating oil."

"Can your family afford that?" the narrator also says. The campaign reports the ad will run “nationally.”

Obama has repeatedly said the notion he will raise taxes on middle-class Americans is untrue.

Listen:
McCain advisors discuss Obama's economic polices on a conference call

According to a CNN fact check, Obama's tax plan would increase taxes in 2009 on the wealthiest 20 percent of households, while offering tax cuts for the other 80 percent. The largest increases would be on the top 1 percent of earners, according to analysis by the Tax Policy Center, a nonpartisan research group whose staff of experts includes former economic advisers to the White House and Congress under both Republicans and Democrats.

By comparison, the Tax Policy Center analysis says McCain would offer tax cuts across the board. Those at the top end of the scale would get the biggest percentage cuts under McCain, while households with the lowest incomes would receive the largest percentage cuts under Obama's plan.

By the way, if Obama is the king of earmarks and McCain the anti-earmark champion, why does Arizona consistently outpace Illinios in earmarks. McCain might not be making the requests himself, but someone is doing it for his state.

Where on god's green earth is the FCC in all this? Blatantly fraudulent commercials should not be allowed to air, and if they do, there shoudl be penalties. Just because the "news" media likes to pretend that he-said-she-said is more important than truth, doesn't mean that the administrative body in charge of protecting the air waves should be sitting on its thumb.

What our families can't afford is a continuation of 4 more of the last 8 years, Senator McCain, the deregulator. How's this economy working out for us these days? I'm sure it worked real well for the Senator and his friend and advisor Phil Gramm as well as all the top guys under the golden parachutes. Everyone with their fingers in this pie should pay the American taxpayers back. And when will OUR dividend checks be coming in the mail? That's what I thought.

While McCain says he is different than Bush, everything he does is Bush-like including lying to the American public. McCain says he will continue Bush's tax plan and look how well that is working for the country. I know that candidates pick and choose the statements they use from their opponents, but Palin and McCain just outright lie and continue to lie even when confronted with the truth. This shows their true character (or lack thereof) and shows how they will treat us if they are elected into office. They will treat us just like Bush/Cheney. Is that what we want?

Arzell   September 18th, 2008 10:34 am ET

What is McCain's problem with the government spending billions here in the US? He and Bush have no problem spending that amount of money in Iraq!

This viscious nasty hate coming from these comments and "some" Obama supporters is scary.

Don't be surprised when the "lack of trust" or "character" issues continue to drive Obama out of this race because this reflects directly on him.

Cyrus K.   September 18th, 2008 10:34 am ET

There are two things certain in life – death and tax. A few months ago, when we all received a nice tax rebate check in the mail, the empty-headed Americans never bothered to ask, "Hmmm...I hear that we are in a recession, and our budget is in a deficit. I wonder where the administraiton is getting the money from?"

When Clinton left office, we had a quarter trillion dollar budget surplus, and now, eight years later, we are in a trillion dollar deficit. It is mind boggling to me that people, who keep asking for better infrastructure, basic amenities, and common public good, are petrified whenever the psychotic republicans come back every election year with that same ol' "they are going to tax you to death" chant.

Hey Republicans.....if you don't want to pay taxes, and utter the word "patriotism" and "country first" one more time, we are going to throw eggs at you. You haven't taken care of our veterans' healthcare, education/college degrees, and mental health needs (PTSD)!! More veterans are on the street, and Bush/Republicans are opposing the bill that would let American POWs of the first Iraq War to sue Iraq.

Country First? How about Truth First?

SoCal   September 18th, 2008 10:33 am ET

Hey CNN, your "fact check" at the end of the article is rather convoluted and its implications are a little bit obfuscated.

Why don't you simply write:

"Obama's tax plan will actually cut tax for 80% of households, and will only increase taxes for households with income exceeding $250K.

While McCain's tax plan would indeed cut tax across the board, the wealthiest would receive the biggest cuts and households with lower income would get a much smaller tax cut than the one proposed by Obama."

Hello, my name is John and I am a lie addict. It has been zero days since my last lie....

Mr. Scary   September 18th, 2008 10:33 am ET

I don't see what the big flap is over taxes anyway...we all want our government to provide goods and services like well-maintained highways and bridges, health care, education, etc. Those programs all cost money. So many people hear the phrase "lower taxes" and they get all excited, not realizing that at the end of the day they've got an extra $3.50 in their take-home pay. Let the government keep that, and build some schools or something.

Now McCain says he's going to "eliminate greed"...yeah, good luck with that.

Another Republican for Obama (this year)   September 18th, 2008 10:32 am ET

McCain is a cowardly, dishonorable, morally flexible liar. Most politicians stretch the truth (including Obama), but back away when facts start to contradict what is being said. Not McCain – he plows right ahead in the face of facts, journalists calling him out on his lies, and YouTube making him look a bumbling old man – and the kicker – he keeps repeating them over and over again, turning himself and my party into a punchline.

I am well into the 20% at the top and you know what? I am happy to pay Obama's tax increases to put more kids through school, give struggling families a chance, increase jobs for people. Don't listen to my party's idiots on here. Obama's plan is simple and straightforward, and puts money is most families pockets. Don't be fooled by McCain and Palin lying about it constantly. Listen to the tax policy center. Listen to journalists who have read both plans. heck, go read Obama's plan vs McCains and you will see it there plain as day.

The McShame camp believes that if you tell a lie enough times, it becomes the truth. They learned this from the Bush camp four years and eight years ago. They have no honor, no shame, and no chance of victory.

He has to tell lies because if he tells the truth, it would be no contest at all. He has no legs to stand on because his policies are the same broken policies of the current administration. He can't tell people that he was part of the group insisting on deregulating the banking industry, telling everyone that there was too much government interference. He can't tell people the truth, because he can't even recognize the truth anymore.

I used to respect John McCain – I didn't agree with him, but I did respect him. No longer. He's become what he's been railing against all these years.

The fact is that McCain does not have an economic plan. He will continue to say whatever he thinks will help him get elected. That is why his positions change daily. Tuesday he was against the bailout of AIG. The next day he was for it. For two decades he was a deregulator. This week he calls for more regulations. He touted a campaign for change that focused on eliminating pork completely, and his runningmate loves pork. He wants to rid Washington of lobbyists and his campaign is crowded with lobbyists, ETC, ETC, ETC... WHO IS BUYING THIS? Walmart moms and NASCAR dads?

Why McCain still approve lies? I thought he put country first, and his country man is been lied upon and McCain approved it. wow....

The truth of the matter is everyone will see their taxes go up under the Obamiah's plan. And guess what, you tax the evil big businesses and you think they'll be affected? Then you really are as ignorant as you sound on these posts. Businesses will just raise their prices, and surprise surprise, you'll be paying even more. And what about all those Hollywood mucky mucks who laud Obama and put out crappy movies for 20 million dollar salaries, think they'll have to fork over more (because here's a little secret...they're richer than the big businessmen you villify)? Nope, because Obama will take care of his own, his pals, and his cronies. No, decent, hardworking people will be the most affected by Obama's socialist visions.

To all of you who accuse McCain of lies – your party has lying and deception as two of its cornerstones. You wouldn't know the truth if it came up and bit you on your self-righteous backsides. And that's the truth.

Redistribution of wealth, is a communist concept at best. Tax cuts for everyone, reduced spending and less waste of taxpayer dollars, is the
real way to stimulate the economy. I am so glad that John McCain is going to solve these problems, with Sarahs help of course. President McCain may not give Toms money to Jerry, but he will fix the economy.

Mike, Syracuse NY   September 18th, 2008 10:29 am ET

Actually an independent look at Obama's tax proposals concluded that after all the puts and takes, everyone over $111,000 will see a tax increase. That's the 20% in CNN's fact check in the article. Obama claims 95% get a break, which of course is a lie. Then there's the gap between what he says he will do and what he can do. No way he can have major spending increases like natinal health care without rasing everyone's taxes,. So he has lies within lies.

How many times are they going to tell the same lie about taxes. The vast majority of Americans will receive a TAX BREAK under the Obama plan.

Allowing the Bush's "welfare for the wealthy" tax cut to expire, just puts their rates back to where they were in the 1990's. Tax rates did not seem to be an issue in the 90's, when we had excellent economic growth and low inflation. I have never heard anyone say, gee, I won't go out and make that extra million dollars because I will pay 34% taxes on it.

Wealthy individuals have the ability to rearrange their finances to take advantage of the tax laws, so most will not be hit to the degree that is being shown in the media.

These tax arguments are smoke screens put up to scare people. The people making those arguments are not necessarily looking at what is best for the long-term benefit of America, but rather, the short term benefit to their own wallets.

The biggest long-term problem facing America is still the national debt. GWB will end up adding 65% to the debt in just 8 years. The last 4 Republican presidents have incurrred 77% of the entire US national debt in just 24 years. Since WW II, Republicans have incurred debt at a rate over 4 times that of their Democratic counterparts. Taxes will be higher in the long run because of Republican irresponsibility – and that is the bottom line.

Don't buy the lies. No way, no how, no McCain, and no Palin.

Clearly, John McCain, Sarah Palin, and George Bush are out of touch with the economic condition of the U.S. All of the Wall Street Firms currently in trouble are the direct result of deregulation. The banking firms that survive this current crisis are clearly regulated and each will benefit going forward. The greed on Wall Street, approved by the Republican Administration, is available for all to see. The issues on Wall Street did not materialize two years ago, when the Democrats took control of the House and Senate. We are now seeing the impact of failed leadership from the Bush Administration. We the People, need to step back and realize what is happening to our economy began to develop in 2003, and understand that we can not afford to elect a Republican Administration that would simple analyze the problem with commissions that are nothing more than Republican Puppets. We need a new course, a new view of leadership in Washington and on Wall Street. Everyone needs to review the S&L Scandals and the Keating Five, to understand why John McCain can not be elected president.

Americans cannot make their mind up on who is better for them based on biased adverts, can they?! Really?!

The economy is shattered. If people look at the facts and proposals of both sides and decide that McCain is better, then brilliant. But please, please don't base your decision on self serving marketing spiel. From either camp.

All us Europeans want you guys to make the best possible choice. Not just because hard working Americans deserve much better, but also because whenever your economy sneezes, the rest of the world catches a cold. But, if your next president doesn't turn this around for you guys, the rest of the world is going to look elsewhere for solid investment.

It's really sad when CNN has to run a fact check on McCain's ads, and the fact checks always show a lie in his ads. Where's the honor, McCain?

Rick K   September 18th, 2008 10:26 am ET

Americans, Republicans, Democrats, Independents, Conservative Ideologists, Liberal Ideologists – everyone – can send a message that this outright dishonesty, lying about things that have already been investigated, debunked, and exposed – doesn't fly anymore.

No matter where we go from there, we will all be better off.

McCain, what tax are you talking about and how is your plan different and better than Bush's? because they look tremendously similar.

Virginia   September 18th, 2008 10:26 am ET

McCain and company are lousy liars. The repubs swiftboated Kerry in 2004 and it was not answered because no one thought voters would believe it. Now the networks, especially MSNBC and CNN are calling out the lies. As soon as McCain puts out an attack ad and says outrageous things about Obama, they go on the attack and show us (on video) what McCain is up to.
Another thing I want to expose is this: McCain is now saying he wants to regulate the banking industry. The truth is that his good buddy and campaign worker, Phil Gramm is the person that added the deregulation of banks to their rules and helped lead us to the current situation. Now how is McCain going to change things when he really is for deregulation himself?

The unknown result of Obama's tax the people making $200K a year or more is the impact to jobs and benefits provided by small employers.
Will these business people just eat the increased taxes from their lifes work? This is not likely. It is more probable that small business owners will trim costs, delay expansion, and offer fewer benefits (employee 401K, paid vacations, personal time) rather than adjust their own lifestyle.

LS   September 18th, 2008 10:23 am ET

The republicans make up an economic plan and throw it at Obama.

What part doesn't McCain hear or understand? And why does he continue to make up stuff?

Over and over again it has been mentioned about Obama's tax plan, and the more the republicans hear about it, the republicans turn around blabbering false information. Could it be because they just don't get it? Or could it be because of the republicans corruptive nature? Or are the facts are just too complicated for the republicans to understand?

I honestly believe it is because the republicans are just dumb and McCain is a liar and cannot be trusted.

Thinker in GA   September 18th, 2008 10:23 am ET

I wonder if John McCain thinks that americans are so stupid that they no longer understand simple arithmetic. John McSame your tax policy is ridiculous. What are the so rich people like Warren Buffet going to do with tax cut dollars you are going to give them? Warren Buffet has asked this question before if i'm not mistaken.

Terry, Dallas Texas   September 18th, 2008 10:22 am ET

ENOUGH!   September 18th, 2008 10:22 am ET

Again the lies from McCain. If he is so willing to lie to us now, what else will he be willing to lie to us about when he is president?

"According to a CNN fact check, Obama's tax plan would increase taxes in 2009 on the wealthiest 20 percent of households, while offering tax cuts for the other 80 percent.

Those at the top end of the scale would get the biggest percentage cuts under McCain, while households with the lowest incomes would receive the largest percentage cuts under Obama's plan."

Tiffany J.   September 18th, 2008 10:22 am ET

I'm not certain on this, but..... Is it (or shouldn't it) be illegal for John McCain to blatantly lie in these ads? Not only is it morally wrong, I think it might even be illegal.

How else can the public protect itself from these kinds of lies? If this practice is not already illegal, perhaps we need to make it illegal.

NO MORE CONFUSING, LYING, BIASED ADS!

Tell us what *you* would do, McCain. Let Obama worry about telling us what he will do. Just speak for yourself.

Bulldog   September 18th, 2008 10:22 am ET

"In my administration we're going to hold people on Wall Street responsible and we're going to enact and enforce reforms that make sure that these outrages — and they are outrages — never happen in the first place," McCain said

But wait, this is completely opposite of what McCain has supported and stood for the last 20 plus years.

The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Financial Services Modernization Act of 1999 deregulated the financial system by opening up competition among banks, securities and insurance companies and allowed commercial and investment banks to merge.

John McCain voted for this bill along with the entire Republican Senate. The Senate Democrats objected against it. Phil Gramm introduced this bill and was John McCain’s top economic advisor before he was forced to resign but still gives McCain economic advice to this day.

John McCain has a direct responsibility in the financial crisis we are in today along with the banking lobbyists he is employing in his campaign. McCain has supported the very philosophy and mentality that has caused the economy we are facing today. Is that what you want? Another 4 years of this? Look it up, McCain has truly supported DEREGULATION throughout his career and now all of a sudden he is FOR regulation. He’s blowing smoke and just telling more lies.

As an Obama backer I shudder when I see Sen. Biden's comment today which, after parsing, alludes to the "patriotism" of paying higher taxes. This will without a doubt be seized upon fast and hard by the McLiar campaign. I admire and respect Biden but, geez, for someone who's been through a number of campaigns in his life he sometimes seems oblivious as to how the game's played (remember his "she's good looking" and "Hillary might have been the better VP pick" comments?). This notion that republicans run for government while saying that "government is bad" is amazing.

Who runs the military if not governement?
Who should regulate and keep an eye on Wall Street if not governement?
Who should provide relief after a national disaster if not governement?
And how about diplomacy, or intelligence, or national security?
And so on and on.

Governement is not necessarily a bad thing.
It's republicans who are bad at governement.
And Bush just provided the best example of this concept.

1. According to the US Census Bureau, in 2007, there were 116.8 million households, of which only 20.2 million (or 17.3%) made more than $100,000 income. Since Obama's plan will raise taxes on the wealthiest 20%, he's lying when he says only those making more than $250,000 will see an increase in taxes. If the CNN fact check is right, tax increases under Obama will hit at just under $100,000 income.

2. For those concerned about Wall Street greed, Obama has actually raised more from Wall Street than McCain ($10 million vs. $7 million). so who's in the back pocket of Wall Street?

The Reason for America’s Financial Crisis:

The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Financial Services Modernization Act of 1999 deregulated the financial system by opening up competition among banks, securities and insurance companies and allowed commercial and investment banks to merge.

John McCain voted for this bill along with the entire Republican Senate. The Senate Democrates objected against it. Phil Gramm indroduced this bill was John McCain’s top economic advisor before he was forced to resign but still gives McCain economic advice to this day.

John McCain has a direct responsibility in the financial crisis we are in today. McCain has supported the very philosophy and mentality that has caused the economy we are facing today. Is that what you want? Another 4 years of this? If you do then vote for McCain.

Yes that would be the same Gramm that thinks we are "whiner" and a "mental" recession!

What was this doddering old fool, talking about the morning of 09/16/2008 on American Morning??

"we need a 9/11 style commission??"

Why?? What does that have to do with the economy??

I know it was early in the morning so hopefully, he is napping now, so you will be able to speak coherently later today.

On 09/15/2008, Americans lost over $700 billion from retirement and pensions.

Exactly how is that a "sound" fundamental?
Of course, since Palin has been to a bank, I am sure she is FULLY qualified to help dig us out of the hole.

Wow, just playing the same distortions about Obama's policy proposals even though he's been shown to be lying. Seems like an honorable man to me?

BTW Johnny, doesn't your health care plan tax health benefits? Isn't that a tax increase? Ohhh Mr. Pot, you seem much blacker than the kettle in all of this!

RDS   September 18th, 2008 10:17 am ET

It is amazing that every year republicans use the same line.."they're going to raise your taxes" and how is he going to cut wasteful pork when his VP is one of the worst culprits of waistful spending. McCain is a walking talking contradiction!

Lisa G of PA   September 18th, 2008 10:17 am ET

Big government casts a big shadow, all right. And right now we have the biggest, most ineffective government I've seen in my lifetime. The national deficit is out of control and so is spending.

That's one reason I changed my party affiliation after 30 years as a Republican.

This ad, like the others put out by the McCain campaign. Is once again misleading.

I'm proud to support Barack Obama because he is a pragmatic thinker, understands the needs of everyday people, and has innovative ideas on the economy, alternate energy, healthcare and the environment. Like most Americans, my taxes will go down under his plan, but to be honest, I wouldn't mind paying a little more if the money was put to good use.

Mrs. Daniel   September 18th, 2008 10:16 am ET

The truth will set you free

Nancy TC   September 18th, 2008 10:16 am ET

While the article is not descriptive and states Obama will reduce taxes for lower income, that is not everything.

Let me remind you that Obama's tax plan is to raise the payroll tax and the tax on capital gains as well.

The capital gains tax alone is a big issue because it will stall our financial markets, whether it be stocks or real estate.

If you are going to do an article such as this one, then lets get it all out there.

Lets stop being one sided and let the people of America know what affects higher or lower taxes will have on the economy.

Maybe it would benefit all of us to find an economist who is neither for Obama or McCain and who will tell us the truth as to what this country needs as far as taxes to get out economy back up and going.

The ignorance and desperation of McCain and Palin is nauseating. Their constant whining, their constant claims of knowing what the answers are on how to fix the economy. etc., yet when asked WHAT THE ANSWER is they can't tell us.

White women in America may just put McCain over the top in November, but all taht proves is that Americans are the most ignorant, apathetic, unaware, and irresponsibile people on the planet.

America is fast becomeing a third-world country.

McCain is saying that Obama will raise taxes. This is true McCain! This is so true!

He is going to raise YOUR taxes because you and your elitist wife earn well over $250,000 a year. So yes, he will raise YOUR taxes, but not mine nor 95% of the country.

So when you say that Obama will raise taxes, we now know that you are talking to your wife and all of your republican big wigs.

Chris, Antioch, CA   September 18th, 2008 10:13 am ET

Every time McCain actually does talk about taxes, he lies. Obama won't raise our taxes. That is, unless you are part of the 3% of Americans who makes more than 250k per year. It's a ridiculous lie that the keep telling over and over again. No more dishonesty. We have serious problems.

Obama / Biden 08 and 12

JB   September 18th, 2008 10:13 am ET

Barack "No Action" Obama:

For those who question Palin's experience. . . .

Obama is not experienced. 8 years in ILL politics, with 180 present votes.

One year as US Senator before he started to run for President.

Never convened a meeting on Afghanastan while he was chairman of the group.

He has done nothing. He has skated by doing nothing while in office. We need someone who has a history of action like McCain.

Ever heard of McCain Feingold. . . . or the Gang of 14? Wikipedia them.

McCain has a history of working with both sides, AND accomplishing something. Obama has declared a few days in honor of someone. That is his extent of legislation.

Jim - Wisconsin   September 18th, 2008 10:12 am ET

More lies from McCain...

MikeH   September 18th, 2008 10:12 am ET

John McCain is a liar.

John and Cindy McCain will pay much more in income tax with Obama's tax plan, but I will pay much less.

It's all there for informed Americans to read, but, like Bill Maher says, there are many Americans too ignorant to be governed, so they'll buy McCains lies.

McCain's Senate history make him one of the most irresponsible individuals when it comes to the economic disaster we are now in.

You ignorant Americans want a full-blown depression with citizens dying in the streets, then McCain's your man.

Independent but Leaning   September 18th, 2008 10:12 am ET

People need to take a long hard look at Obama's tax policy. It is fundamentally flawed and will drive this country right back into a Carter-era recession.

He's going to crush small business with his tax proposals, and raising the capital gains tax will only drive more poeple out of the stock market. No capital investment means no economic expansion. It's simple economics.

RJ, CA   September 18th, 2008 10:12 am ET

What is causing the current economic crisis?

The subprime mortgage meltdown.

When did the subprime mortgage meltdown begin?

In 2006/2007.

Who was given an overwhelming mandate by the American voters in 2006?

The Democratic Congress.

Who voted 98% of the time with the Democrats in Congress?

Barrack Obama.

The legislative branch (Congress) makes our laws.

The president does NOT make laws — he merely enforces the laws that the legislative branch (Congress) makes.

OK, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid — FIX THE MESS YOU MADE!

(And don't even TRY to shove Obama down my throat again!)

John McShame   September 18th, 2008 10:12 am ET

More of the same from John McShame

John McLame says, “I don’t know much about the economy, I still need to be educated”

“It would be acceptable if we had to stay in Iraq for another 100 years.”

We need to “bomb, bomb, and bomb Iran”

“I have voted with Bush 90% of the time because he has been right 90% of the time”

Sarah Failin says,

“I have foreign policy experience because you can see Russia from Alaska and I went to Mexico on vacation once.”

“I welcome any investigation into my past because I have nothing to hide, oh never mind I will not meet with any investigators for any reason ever.”

She believes the Bush Doctrine is a “World View” hahaha

She says she said “No Thanks” for the Bridge to nowhere when she was actually the one who got it approved

She says we may have to go to war WITH RUSSIA

She decreased her own responsibilities when she was the mayor of a town small enough to be run by a fifth grader

The liars again are doing what they do best: lie.

America think for you   September 18th, 2008 10:09 am ET

The reason why our economy is crashing is because of Iraq all the money that was supposed to refuel the economy are been sent to Iraq while the economy is let alone to die. The consumers have no confidence in the market that is mean they will not spend and again the economy will struggle. John McCain does not understand that simple economics formula and stated that the economy is strong. I know that McCain pocket is strong because he is a rich man. But, our economy is not strong.

The BOTTOM Line.....   September 18th, 2008 10:09 am ET

Gibberish. The Republicans have been the kings of pork lately, and McCain's veep has went for a big slice. The Republicans have spent recklessly for the last eight years. The Republicans decided that laissez faire was best in regulating financial institutions, and guess what?

Why is it that CNN has to do a fact check at the end of every McCain ad? Because McCain's LYING. I used to have respect for Senator McCain and even would have considered voting for him. But, I have no respect for him when he blatantly ignores the truth for the sake of diminishing his opponent.

WASP-Woman Against Sara Palin   September 18th, 2008 10:07 am ET

Another lie from the mccain/palin campaign. They are pathological liars and insult the public every time they do.

CM   September 18th, 2008 10:07 am ET

Oh boy....when you have to reply on blatant lies as the basis of your argument you're in trouble.

McCain has been told many times what he says about Obama's tax plan is untrue but he keeps on going. I guess the problem is that Obama's plan is posted online and Johnny doesn't know how to get to it.

You guys really want another president who can't fact-check for himself?

Martiniano   September 18th, 2008 10:07 am ET

Obviously McCain's message is for people who earn over $250K per year because those are the only people who will see an increase.

95% of Americans will pay lower taxes under Barack Hussein Obama.

What's wrong with that?

OBAMA 08

Obama Supporter from FL   September 18th, 2008 10:06 am ET

Why do they think it is ok to LIE in national ads? Anyone who can use the internet knows their ads are lies. I just don't think that is the way to win over independents...

The Nightingale Sings in Berkley Square   September 18th, 2008 10:05 am ET

Wake up America. Wake up and ask yourself how will obama pay for all the new programs he is proposing and also proposing to take the troops out of Iraq and put them in Afghanistan for 8 years or longer?

I think he will pay for it the old fashioned way. You know the Democrat way, RAISE TAXES. Yes, America you and I will pay through the nose if Obama somehow gets in the Oval Office.

I trust McCain with our country and our values. Obama is risky and I am not sure he has our values on the top of his list.
