According to some news reports, it was considered by the McCain/Palin camp that her attendance at this rally would give her to opportunity to meet foreign leaders AND to come away with some knowledge that she could use in upcoming debates against her democratic counterpart, Barack Obams – oops, I mean Joe Biden. Suddenly, as it has been with most things revolving around this woman, it was all about her.

I'm glad the organizers decided NOT to invite ANY political candidates. They would detract from the real reason the rally is taking place. Palin is a woman who is attractive, athletic and probably makes a great moose stew by she has no substance and very very little experience. She would not be able to bring anything of substance to the rally and therefore would be equivalent to lipstick on a pitbull – it looks good but really has no real purpose.

The reason for this is simple. The Obama camp most likely DID put pressure on Hillary to withdraw from this non-political event because if Hillary did speak at the same rally as Palin and they both seemed to be in agreement over the fact that Iran is a threat, then former Hillary voters would likely feel that Hillary and Palin are not so far apart in national security issues, true or not. This might sway some Hillary fans to vote for the McCain ticket.

Please think logically folks and not emotionally.

That group just lost any form of respect. Any really you think a democratic president is going to stand up to Iran? The people at this rally clearly care about Iran not getting a nuclear weapon; which President do you think would have the guts to launch a pre-emptive strike against them? Obama who denounced Bush for doing this to Iraq or McCain who has stood by the decision. The people who got Palin removed from this event are directly hurting their own cause.

Hillary won't play in the sandbox with others, so no one can play. Hillary's hissy fit will only rally supporters toward Palin. This doesn't make the Demorcats look very non-partisan; if they cannot reach across the isles for a national matter like this, when can they. In the end I think she knows this doesn't look good.
