There is a time for Party loyality, and side taking, and there is a time to
dig in and get things done, no matter the pary. However it is important
to pick the men and women that will best do the job.

We in America are hurting, and we need strong leadership. I agree we
need Sen. Obama and Sen. Biden to take over the country. We have

This IS the real maverick, who really have clear judgment & honesty, dare to challenge his own party decisions, upholding "Country First" in practice -- seeing the damage the country might suffer of joke politics carried on by GOP. McCain used to be this kind of man, but only until he sold his soul to the "old boys in charge". Palin definitely is not this kind of person at all. She's merely an imaginary product of politics branding by Bush circles. Checkout the CNN video titled "Palin advisers and Bush". Most of Sarah Palin's advisers have worked with the Bush campaign or in the administration.

I just don't understand why Mr McCain snubbed a vetted partner like Mitt Romney. Mr Romney is a man of business AND a man of faith. I am not an American citizen but have been following the Presidential race very closely as its outcome affects everyone in so many ways living in other countries throughout the world.

After following both the Democrats and the Republicans conventions and being swayed in my support back and forth, I found the sound bites unfolding on a daily basis worthy of the analysis CNN is doing.. I'm O.K. on the instant replay but have lost track of the score vis-a-vis the "truth" vrs "false" count.

Could the CNN political analysis team give us a total running count beginning at day 1 of the campaign(s) launch... with additions and new totals each day as we progress to November?

Both parties have good and not so good platform positions but it seems to me transparent half truths, inuendos and outright fiction provided by the spin doctors are not worthy of making it into the speeches of either candidate.

Do you think anyone is listening? We keep hearing that McCain says one thing and does something else. He works for deregulation and then yells about regulating Wall Street. Palin was mayor and left the city in debt and in legal trouble over the sports complex she built without clear title to the property. She said she would cooperate with the Troopergate investigation and now says she won't. What is she hiding? If people were truly listening with an open mind, this would be a landslide for Obama. Some people just won't listen and don't want to be bothered with the truth. How sad for this country.

The financial turmoil in the markets, the deregulation of the banking system that Senator Phil Graham from Texas was the principal architect of, the loss of respect from our allies and the pick of Sarah Palin may have created a toxic environment for the republicans this year. The bounce that greeted Governor Palin's selection is fading as more about her comes out. The lipstick may still be on the pitbull, but the bloom has faded from her rose. Hiding her from the press may have given McCain's campaign time to give her a crash course in world affairs, but it also highlighted the fact that she needed one because she was so ill-informed. Rep. Gilchrest lost his primary and now has no reason not to say what many republicans are already thinking. Now that his job is gone he can say what he believes to be the truth. There can be no retribution from the party if you're not going to be there.

Well, as a Reagan republican, its hard to support a democrat. But the republicans have strayed from the old principles. Its time for a change. (Somebody already thought of that line). What we need most is heavy taxes on those making $200,000 or more. If Obama can make that happen, a lot of good things will happen for the country. Of course, income from true innovation should not be taxed heavily.

The republicans would rather mortgage our country's future to foreign countries than actually be fiscally responsible and just pay as we go. The wealthy, and everyone else now, needs to work their butts off to get this country back together and become a world leader again.

Its going to take a leader to do that, something this country has not had in 8 years.

McPalin has proven they will say and do anything to get what they want. What a shame. McCain's good name is in the mud now by his own doing. And Palin weaving and dodging these investigations of her is DEFINATELY more of the same.

I'm a Republican. I'll be voting for Obama come November. "Dailay Scandal" Palin & John McSame I think can only fool so many people for so long. When people finally take a moment to go out and fact check these people and see what a group of liars the Republican ticket is touting, I truly think they'll come to the same conclusion I have.
