Trump endorses McCain

Trump also said Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin had rejuvenated the Republican Party.

(CNN) – Real estate mogul Donald Trump is endorsing Sen. John McCain: “I’ve known him. I like him. I respect him. He’s a smart guy and I think he’s going to be a great president,” Trump said Wednesday night on CNN’s Larry King Live. “I endorse him.”

Watch: Trump backs McCain

Trump also had praise for McCain’s decision to pick Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate. “I think she’s made a tremendous impact. The impact that she has had on rejuvenating almost the Republican Party, it’s been unbelievable.”

Trump also confided that he did not know who Palin was before McCain asked her to join him on the GOP ticket. “As soon as we got to see her and watch her, everybody’s impressed,” said Trump. “That really is to John McCain’s credit. What he did in this choice is amazing. . . . It was a courageous choice.”

Trump may have announced his endorsement last night, but he voted with his pocketbook months ago; campaign finance records show Trump, who has donated to McCain for years, and gave the legal maximum to the Arizona senator in May. The same month, the members of Trump’s family — wife Melania Knauss and children Donald Jr, Ivanka and Eric — also gave McCain the maximum individual donation allowed under federal campaign finance laws.

The New York mogul — who said Wednesday night that McCain was winning, but it would be a “different race” if Hillary Clinton were Obama’s running mate — was also an early financial supporter of his home state senator’s presidential campaign.

Trump is a joke and this is no surprise. Trump is the perfect republican spokes person. He inherits hundreds of millions from his father, loses it making bad business deals and files for bancruptcy, gets bailed out, gets another group of investors money, loses it, files for bancruptcy, gets more money and in the process of doing it again. Don't listen to him- he knows how to lose money. Don't listen to his personal responsiblity story or how he's self made man. He's never been personally responsible and it's pretty easy to make money when someone gives you millions of dollars. The trumps and McCains are peas of a pod.

It is true more rich people support Republicans. But almost as many rich people support Democrats.

Rich people also want to hatch their bets. Since most people have been thinking that Obama (Democrats) will certainly win the White House this year, so a lot of the rich people donated to Obama. They want to buy the influence and access. In the recent days, it seems there is a big chance McCain can actually win! Some rich people are now rushing to support McCain now because they do not wan to be left out in case McCain actually wins.

For instance, Wall Street donated a lot of money to candidates. This year, Wall Street donated much more money to Democrats than Republicans because Democrats control the congress and will likely control the White House in a few months. Wall Street does not like regulations. I can bet no major new regulations will be imposed even in an Obama's administration. Obama got far more money from Wall Street than McCain. He has to listen to their voices. That is why he is not proposing any new regulations!

the rich feeding the rich. keep the quotes coming, why dont reports have more follow up to the questions they ask, “I think she’s made a tremendous impact. The impact that she has had on rejuvenating almost the Republican Party, it’s been unbelievable.”>>what has she done other than be McCain eye candy for the past 3 weeks?

“As soon as we got to see her and watch her, everybody’s impressed,” >>impressed with what? her vanilla stance on all issues?

"you can try to play stump the candidate if you want" >>yes, we want you to have all the answers, and if you dont.....get lost!!

The repubs in this country are blind and base their votes on being nice and sweet and "I could go to a BBQ with that guy, he's got my vote" >> look at the state of our country with that mindset, whats scary is it can get worse still....

Big money people are backing McCain...Bill Gates, Rothchild and now Donald Trump – Surprise, Surprise. They're just protecting their Tax Cut money and they know McCain is in their corner. It's obvious now who the real Elitist is (McCain step forward). These kind of greedy people don't care about the Economy. It looks strong to them. Elitist McCain is no Maverick to the Jet set crowd.

Does anyone still think that McCain is for the working men and women in this country?

Well, duh? That's is a no brainer. If you are FILTHY rich like The Trumps, The McCains & The Bushes.. McCain/Palin is your ticket to paying LESS taxes. For the rest of us who DON'T own 9 houses - or one that recently sold for $100,000,000!) we enthusiastically endorse OBAMA!

Palin is to this election, what The Apprentice WAS (as in past tense) to TV. Exploded on the scene, trumped up ratings, completely unrealistic, all brash, bluster and high drama... and soon to be cancelled!

Thanks you Donald...you and the dead pet on your head are shining proof that rich corporate America is all for McCain's pandering tax cuts no matter what it will do to our economy and is doing its best to avoid being forced to behave in anything close to a socially responsible manner. You just helped Obama dummy.
