(CNN) – New CNN poll of polls out of Indiana and Ohio Friday show both Midwestern states appear up for grabs with less than seven weeks to go before Election Day.
According to averages of several recent surveys from both states, Obama holds a slim 1 point lead in Ohio (46-45 percent) and McCain holds a small 2 point lead in Indiana (47-45 percent).

Both states may be critical for John McCain - no Republican has captured the White House without winning Ohio, and Indiana hasn't voted for a Democratic presidential candidate in more than 30 years.

The Ohio poll of polls consists of three surveys: Big Ten Battleground (September 14-17), CNN/Time/ORC (September 14-16), and Marist (September 11-15). The Indiana general election poll of polls also consists of three surveys: Big Ten Battleground (September 14-17), CNN/Time/ORC (September 14-16), and Indianapolis Star/WTHR (September 14-16).
Neither have a sampling error.

After McCain's "performances" lately–how can anyone trust this senile underachiever to lead us out of the mess he created. His DEregulation caused this mess–How in the world can the polls be close?
So I read the great "Messiah" wants to tax the heck out of people making over 250K to help give my money away to the UN to fight global poverty. The "Messiah" proclaims by the year 2015 we should donate $50 billion to the world.
My question is by 2015 in america we will have no more homeless to help out. Listen Robin Hood, if you get in (God I hope not) and you raise my taxes which is a given at least spend the money at home you fool

hmmm, 80% of the world would vote for Obama/Biden ticket. I mean there is no comparison here on which ticket has more substance and better qualifications to lead the USA back from 8 years of misery. On the world stage the U.S. reputation has fallen so drastically, to me it just very sad.
It makes me especially in Ohio who in the world would vote Republican. There is only one answer to your solution – Vote Obama

The lead is probably much larger due to the polling methods. Obama will win it with a larger margin.
I'm on the mailing list for both McCain and Obama. Obama is much more serious about my vote based on the amount of email I get from the two candidates.
