Palin accuses 'Obama-Biden Democrats' of spreading 'lies'

Palin accused 'Obama-Biden Democrats,' of attacking her family Monday.
Palin accused 'Obama-Biden Democrats,' of attacking her family Monday.

(CNN)— Governor Sarah Palin accused “Obama-Biden Democrats,” of launching a series of unfair attacks against her and her family in a fundraising email sent to supporters Monday.

“Friends, in the course of a few weeks, the Obama-Biden Democrats have launched attack after attack on me, my family and John McCain,” Palin writes in the email. “They’re desperate to win and they’ll no doubt launch these attacks against other reformers on our ticket.”

Watch: Obama says discussion of Sarah Palin's family is 'off-limits'

Earlier this month, the McCain campaign said its $47 million fundraising record for the month of August was due in large part to the addition of the Alaska governor to the ticket. Her presence on the campaign trail has also translated into larger crowds at campaign events throughout the country.

Palin said Obama and Biden have a “large financial advantage,” urging supporters that a contribution of any size will help stop the spread of “lies” and “misinformation” coming from Democrats.

“We must stop them,” Palin writes, “...before they turn these shameful tactics on others we support.”

Earlier this month when Obama was asked about Bristol Palin’s pregnancy, the Illinois senator repeated previous calls that “people’s families are off-limits.”

“This shouldn’t be part of our politics,” Obama said “It has no relevance to show Governor Palin’s performance as a governor or her potential performance as a vice president.”

You mean Sort of like this:

McCain has vowed to wipe out earmarks, which are targeted funding for specific projects that lawmakers put into spending bills. As governor, Palin originally supported earmarks for a controversial $398 million Alaska project dubbed the "bridge to nowhere." But she dropped her support after the state's likely share of the cost rose. She hung onto $27 million to build the approach road to the bridge.

Under Palin's leadership, Alaska this year asked for almost $300 per person in requests for pet projects from one of McCain's top adversaries: indicted Sen. Ted Stevens. That's more than any other state received, per person, from Congress for the current budget year. Other states got just $34 worth of local projects per person this year, on average, according to Citizens Against Government Waste, a Washington-based watchdog group. The state government's earmark requests to Congress in her first year in office exceeded $550 million, more than $800 per resident.

How can Palin even act furious over what she calls lies by the Democrates. She supported the bridge before she was against it. She is against earmarks, but hired lobbyists to obtain millions for her state. She was willing to cooperate in tropper-gate, now she isn't. I find her outrage rather amusing.

OK, CNN...please learn what the objective case is. Against HER and her family. NOT against SHE and her family.

That being said, Palin is a big whiney baby.

  13. CNN = Jerry Springer of news

I get all the Obama emails asking for donations, none of them even mention Palin. We are not paying attention to Palin anymore, there are real issues to discuss. This seems to be an attempt by Palin to keep herself in the news to make her relevant. The 'new car smell' has worn away, all that is left is Cheney in disguise. We are much more concerned about the economy right now and too busy to keep up with the drivel about lipstick and celebrities.

Why don't you get specific about what "lies" or "attacks" you're talking about? And I guess your phrasing means that the Democratic Party ticket can refer to lies and attacks as coming from "Palin / McCain Republicans" ?

Get over it, sister – you've only been in the race a few weeks and already your irrelevancy is showing.
