Palin accuses 'Obama-Biden Democrats' of spreading 'lies'

Palin accused 'Obama-Biden Democrats,' of attacking her family Monday.
Palin accused 'Obama-Biden Democrats,' of attacking her family Monday.

(CNN)— Governor Sarah Palin accused “Obama-Biden Democrats,” of launching a series of unfair attacks against her and her family in a fundraising email sent to supporters Monday.

“Friends, in the course of a few weeks, the Obama-Biden Democrats have launched attack after attack on me, my family and John McCain,” Palin writes in the email. “They’re desperate to win and they’ll no doubt launch these attacks against other reformers on our ticket.”

Watch: Obama says discussion of Sarah Palin's family is 'off-limits'

Earlier this month, the McCain campaign said its $47 million fundraising record for the month of August was due in large part to the addition of the Alaska governor to the ticket. Her presence on the campaign trail has also translated into larger crowds at campaign events throughout the country.

Palin said Obama and Biden have a “large financial advantage,” urging supporters that a contribution of any size will help stop the spread of “lies” and “misinformation” coming from Democrats.

“We must stop them,” Palin writes, “...before they turn these shameful tactics on others we support.”

Earlier this month when Obama was asked about Bristol Palin’s pregnancy, the Illinois senator repeated previous calls that “people’s families are off-limits.”

“This shouldn’t be part of our politics,” Obama said “It has no relevance to show Governor Palin’s performance as a governor or her potential performance as a vice president.”

You mean shameless stories about you charging for rape kits?

Also, it seems your own campaign did not get the memo about "off-limit" family members as they were attacking Biden's son today...

More McCain attempts at discussing anything but the issues!!

    Its the economy, stupid.
No one cares about your lame misdirection attempts anymore. The republicans brought this on themselves and will be held accountable this election.

Mrs. Palin, with all due respect, you and your family are not one of the main issues our country is concerned about. Don't feel so important. Obama is sticking to the issues that matter and affect our lives.

Don't worry; once this is all over, I can see a career for you and your family in reality TV.

I couldn't say it better than Scott in Atlanta. Maybe Sarah should look in the mirror before she starts pointing fingers.

CNN – I do not understand why you will post 20 or 30 anti-McCain/Palin comments in a row, all that say the exact same thing, yet you will only occasionally throw in one or two comments from someone with a brain. Anyone who reads comments on the internet, outside of CNN.com, knows that there are many more people who are supporting McCain then you would have us know. This is ridiculous. Palin is right, Obama and Biden are spreading lies, they are playing the race card, they are trying to intimidate those who don't agree by telling their supporters to "get up in their faces and argue" Trust me CNN, we aren't intimidated by Obama, and we aren't intimidated by your grossly prejudiced website.

Why should we believe anything that comes out of McPalin's mouth? She should spread the lies to her target audience: those who do not know any better and are still following her! She should be greatful to "fixnews" and uninformed america! I can not stand her lies and unethical and uncouth tendencies.

I know Sarah, they're saying you aren't qualified, you really did support the bridge to nowhere, you did abuse your power as governor, etc. It's just so awful when the other side lies, but what if they're telling the truth and you're the one lying about it?

Wow, imagine you can distort the truth and then blame the other “guy” for everything and try to get away with it? Hmmm, sounds like my young kid blaming my other son even though he was the guilty party.

McCain wants to spew out the lies & distortions and then play the victim game. The Karl Rove playbook is extensive!!! What chapter was that?

She should read the latest National Enquirer. It doesn't help her that she's the one that put her family in play and then complains when people tee off on her because of some the bad press. She complains, but it was her own words that brought it on.

Put lipstick on a pig and it's still a pig, not a hockey mom.

Sarah – you are right. the Dems are desperate to win (they just cant beleive that we voted in Bush over Kerry and Gore). The dems have used every trick in the book, and then some, to try and sway voters. The funny thing is is that so many people see through the dems and media lies that they arent listening anymore. More people have flocked to the Republican ticket since Sarah Palin came on board, if this doesnt seal the deal for them then it will at least make it a very very close race – no landslide for Obama im afraid

If our journalists don’t have the backbone to standup to lies from Obama, I am glad that there is a Hockey mom that does.

Good for her. Go Palin, shake them up.

CNN are lies only lies if they come out of John McCain campaign?

Obama lies on Taxes, Obama lies on his relationship with William Ayers, Obama lies linking Rush and John McCain. Obama lies on his intention using the “Lipstick” comment.

The biggest and most shameful media cover-up of our time.

Give us a break! There are only two "Pinocchios" in this campaign; one is McCain and the other, even though programmed, is Palin. "Bridge to Nowhere", "Troopergate", expense report and per diem, McCain's "American" cars, need I keep going?

Sarah Palin is making us the laughing stock of the world while Steve Schmidt rails at every media property from the "New York Times" to "CNN" with a lot more in between.

    We're onto you Sarah!

  17. Watching this election closely...

GOP has gotten beyond ridiculus! This is politics- so I expect spin, I expect exaggerated statements, but I have never been so disgusted by a political campaign as I am by the campaign they are running! Dirty from start to finish! I respect McCain and his service to this country through his military career, but I have lost all respect for him as a political figure! Unfortunately, his running mate has offered NO redeeming qualities (...and I am a woman!). Everytime someone from the GOP opens their mouth, it becomes less and less likely that I would consider casting my ballot for that ticket. I am really saddened that the election has turned into this...

I guess Sarah Palin thinks the National Enquirer is owned by the Democratic National Committee. Welcome to the big leagues, guv. Sorry your plan to create an alternate reality by lying through your teeth didn't work. Don't worry, in six weeks you can go back home to Alaska and find out if that 80 percent favorable rating is still there to keep you warm at night.

Is this woman not the biggest crybaby pitbull in the world? I have never heard a pitbull whine as much as she does. I'm starting to think she is more like a chihuahua; just non stop yapping about nothing important.

Seriously, you people supporting Obama claim he isn't lying all over the place? Even Liberal CNN has reported these lies in the last week!

These over the top people are a nasty brew of folks with no moral integrity. SNL suggesting Todd Palin is the father of his 17 year old daughters unborn child?

Nasty, and I don't see these thing's happening with the people that supported Hillary, or John McCain. JUST OBAMA SUPPORTERS and I really wish these kind of people would just tear up their social security cards and leave my country!

How dare anyone point a finger at Obama the Messiah! Doesn't she know that he is not supposed to be held to the same standards regarding any issue as any other candidate? It's perfectly ok to try and paint the Clintons as racists and then expect them to help get you elected. it's ok to bash mccain on the economy and have no plan for it himself (can you imagine if mccain took Obamas stance on it last week). it's ok to be an arrogant and self-righteous if your name is Obama. HE IS THE SAME AS EVERY OTHER POLITICIAN- A LIAR AND OPPORTUNIST.
