Obama targets Latino voters with new ads

The Obama campaign's new Spanish language ads focus on economic issues.

(CNN) – In the wake of the crisis on Wall Street, the Obama campaign is targeting Latinos in four key battleground states with new ads focused on economic issues.

In the new Spanish-language radio ad “Crisis Económica” - “Economic Crisis” – the Obama campaign once again highlights McCain’s recent statement that “’The fundamentals of our economy are strong,” and accuses McCain of having “no clue about the struggles of the middle class and working people.” McCain and Republicans “can’t fix our economy if they don’t know it’s broken,” says a female announcer.

The campaign’s new 30-second Spanish language television ad, “No Hay Mayor Obligación” - “There Is No Greater Obligation” - strikes similar themes. “Maybe John McCain and the Republicans don’t want to bother themselves with the prosperity of our families, but for us, there’s no greater obligation,” a female voice says as the ad ends.

McCain surrogate Rosario Marin, former U.S. Treasurer, hit back in a Tuesday statement released by the campaign. “Barack Obama has once again lied and distorted John McCain’s record on the economy,” said Marin, adding that on taxes, “the only thing Barack Obama can offer to Hispanics is total lack of leadership.”

“Crisis Económica” and “No Hay Mayor Obligación” begin airing Tuesday in New Mexico, Florida, Nevada and Colorado.

    Hey Biden

I guess I am patriotic, since I pay income tax. I think you called those 40% of Americans who do not pay any taxes unpatriotic.

You Mr. Biden are pathetic, I wonder how come you are so poor when you son is a federal lobbyist? I wonder if he pays taxes. Is your son patriotic Mr. Biden?

Why do you democrats have to label everyone? Why does Obama call women pigs and people in the Mid West bitter people. Why to you lie and say McCain can't use a computer?

You Mr. Biden and Mr. Obama belong in the pig pen with all the big pigs. I am sure

Re: Enightened Voter at the top...

Back in February of this year a reporter asked Obama about Latinos. Obama replied "They've got dark skin like me, so I'm guaranteed nearly 100% of the vote." The reporter then asked "Is that all?" Obama replied "Maybe I'll do an ad in spanish, just so they know that we Americans bow down to illegals who don't even speak our language." Obama then flipped the reporter off and turned and walked away.

I heard it on the internet, so it MUST be true, right?

This Democrat from Illinois has seen enough of Obama's shady dealings in Illinois, including hanging real close to Rezko (soon to be in the pen) and Blagovich, EMil Jones, and the terrorist Bill Ayers, and it just gets worse. He has a horrible judgement of character, especially if it involves money or benefits to him, always him, him, him! I think alot of Biden but I'm going to have to vote for McCain/Palin.

How many Toyotas are made in the United States? Many
How many Fords have Mexican and Canadian parts under the hood? Most.

Obama needs to wake up and stop playing the lowest common denominator. People are seeing thu the BS.

As for how many cars McCain owns, who cares. I own 2 and I am single. Does that make me rich?

Besides, why doesnt Obama go to western Penn and tell the voters he is against coal like his running mate did in Ohio. Is Obama still bitter about Penn?
    ======================================================

That wasn't the point, you dumb douche. The point was that mcCain was caught in ANOTHER LIE!!! McCain said he'd always bought American cars to an audience in Detroit, obviously in a lying, pandering attempt to win their vote. Americans are not stupid, except for the ones who would even consider voting for McCain and the Lipstick Pitbull / Pig.

    And I like this blog:

“Only in Republican America would a black man with a law degree from Harvard, 12 years in politics, four years on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and manager of one of the most impressively flawless and forward thinking presidential campaigns ever not be ready for the presidency while a white female evangelical with 19 months in national politics and a bachelors in journalism is considered ‘ready on day one’.”

Plus add: Palin is all LEGS, no substance beneath!

The trouble is, Obama's commercials are full of half-truths and outright lies. His are not the politics of "change", but like in his selection of good ol' boy Biden, Obama actually practises the politics of "same ol' same ol" guttersnipe variety! What a fraud. What a con-artist!

Palin did not stop the "Road to No Where". It costs tax payers about 26 million dollars. She wasted tax payer money and turned around to claim credit by saying "Thanks but no thanks!" to Congress. Lie and mismanagement!

McCain runs for President only because of his own ambition at 62 years old and has not been an expert on the economy even though he has 26 years of experience as a Senator. He is a war Hero and a long time public servant. But, he has not proven to be a wise leader and a leader who has good judgments. He approved the Irag war and believed the fundamentals of the economy are strong. Both of which caused a lot of pains to American people. Wrong and lack of good judgments!

Obama had good judgment on Iraq war and the war on Afghanistan and understands about economy.

Any Latino making less than $250K per year is a fool to vote Republican. The only time they give flip about you is once every 4 years on election day. The GOP is NOT a party of diversity.

Obama is out of touch with Hispanics. This latino will vote Republican for the first time in my life. During these uncertain times we need leadership, experience not a junior senator. WAKE UP LATINOS and let's help McCain win the White HOuse..it is crucial for our hispanic role in the US and our well being and livelihood. MCCAIN 2008

Latinos, they say, are naturally Conservative, so perhaps they prefer lower wages, crappy work, no benefits, bad schools, unaffordable health care, and unaffordable colleges.
