My husband is a supporter of Defenders of Wildlife. DOW sent an email to all their donors featuring an ad targeted at Gov. Palin's record in Alaska regarding the polar bears and wolves. The ad showed footage of wolves being shot, tortured, etc. I don't know if this ad has started airing on tv. The footage was sickening to watch. It gave me the creeps.

People call your Congressmen and make your views known. This plan, as it stands, is a waste of money. If ordinary people who can not afford these mortgages are left on the hook for these inflated amounts they can not aford, we will be asking the same questions in a month. Really, the money should be given on behalf of them with the condition that the lenders excuse some of that debt for people who were likely victims of this lending process. We can bail out corporations if we want to, but the fact is, the economy works from the bottom up. It is our money, and it should go to help us; not some greedy idiots who caused this mess and will be rich regardless.

The wealthy want to stay WEALTHY, and will do what ever they have to do to sustain their life styles. Put yourself in a wealthy person’s position. What would you do if your taxes were raised? You would cut back where you can so you can continue living the life style you and your family are accustom to.

The new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll will be released at 6:30 pm ET, but here's an early look at one set of numbers:

Forty-nine percent say that Palin is unqualified to be president if the need arises, compared with 40 percent who say she's qualified.

By contrast, 64 percent believe Biden is qualified to be president, versus just 21 percent who disagree.

I don't want to discuss race anymore. I know that there are people who will not vote for Obama because of that, but there are plenty of whites who are showing their support in spite of the ignorance of some. If we want to discuss race, I wish we would find a better forum, and a better way to do it versus making random comments.

I have to say, I am a little thrown back by Sara Palin. She keeps saying everyday that she wants to bring transparency and reform to Washington. But she does not even have transparency in her own state. She has “instructed” her staff people (who work for her) not to answer subpoenas for the investigation on the trooper case. Citizens of Alaska have inquired about the issue, they want transparency. Now the small case has reached public interest and the rest of the public is now being ignored. Palin is saying that the investigation is now political. But, that happens when you are in office. The other side will ask question and try to shade light on any flaw they see. It is up to her to show that there is nothing to the allegations. If she won’t be transparent on that issue, I don’t think she will be transparent on any serious concerns the American people may have if she gets in office. For undecided voters, she is not being very transparent right now.

This shows how poor the choice of Palin was. If he chose someone else, it would not have been just 20% to go to McCain. Clinton supporters were already upset, and now even more upset by McCain.

If McCain really wanted the support of Clinton supporters, why did not he choose Clinton as his VP? McCain is bi-partisan Maverick, it would have worked. He himself was considered as Dem VP in the past.

Particularly under this economy, a senator from NY with great Wall Street and Main Street experience would have been great on the ticket.

McCain should hurry before Obama take action to switch. Of course, we want Obama to hurry more.

I think that most Jews can agree with what Jesus said about caring for each other, charity, acts of kindness etc... What Jews have a problem with is Christian who misinterpret Jesus' teachings to prosecute homosexuals and invade a woman's uterus. And something tells me that Jesus wouldn't be too happy about people hunting for "sport". As a Jews, I am terrified of the prospect that Sarah Palin could be our next VP and I am disgusted that McCain would debase his ticket with likes of her. Once a maverick... now a yes-man for the Christian Right.

Maybe when the jewish community hears that Palin's pastors believe's that terrorist attacks against Israel are "judgement from God" then they might get a little more bitter taste in their mouths about her.
