McCain and Bush are a week behind; have no ideas… they want to steal Obama's ideas (who they say is not ready to become president) and McCain will take credit for Obama's ideas as his own.

After 8 years –we know all your tricks and this one won't fly.

McCain wants to Cancel the Debate Friday and I guess in November McCain will want to postphone the general election in if the polls are not in his favor.

Not this time Bush/McCain the Republican fear tactics to have four more years of Bush/McCain will not work....

Watch David Letterman's drubbing of McCain for suspending his campaign. Why should he suspend his campaign, he could have handed it over to the experienced hands of Sarah atleast she has more experience than Obama, if there is no problem for Obama to handle multiple tasks atleast she should be able to handle her campaign for one day.

Is there some reason that this has to be pushed through without the congress having time to check out the details?
I know McCain is using it as an excuse to avoid debating Obama and has already started laying the groundwork to avoid Palin having to debate at all.

I realize that he has said she would set up a debate on some mythical future date.

I am also aware that the most likely thing to happen is that just prior to the Vice-Presidential debate, something else will cause the debate to be "unavoidably" delayed. And it will be too close to the election to be rescheduled.

Wow, too bad, cause Palin would have mopped the floor with Biden due to her superior education, experience, creative use of lipstick and her Miss Congeniality tiara.

Well for the record Chris Dodd tonite said that he doesnt know why McCain feels he has to come because as committee chairman McCain has called no one including him for an update on how things are progressing...Obama has called three times to talk to him and one to Paulson to check up. I for one, would rather see the candidates debate in Sippi and discuss the issue. It sickens me to see McCain, a guy I would have voted for in 2000 sink to new lows everyday. Although Senator John McCain is on the campaign trail, as a US Senator he gets paid to legislate. Furthermore, he IS very familiar with the current financial crisis. In May of 2006 McCain purposed a bill to Congress calling for a regulatory overhaul. He warned of the enormous risks Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were posing if Congress didn't act. Similarly, Pres. Bush also proposed bills for regulation many times starting in 2002. All of these bills were blocked by Congress. This information is documented fact and can be found at The Library of Congress website.

One more thing you'll find at the library is that Pres. Clinton was the one who actually signed the bill to de-regulate.

It makes sense that they should all meet together. Whoever is the next President will be likely dealing with the aftermath of this bailout and economic problems. It makes sense for both candidates to be there to either have input or know what they will be dealing with. If the debates go on or not is a separate issue from this meeting.

Did you notice President Bush's body language tonight? It was the look of defeat. Even all the negative reviews, the poor poll numbers, the thousands of American young people dead in Iraq & Afghanistan could not take the bounce out of his step. But, today, finally, it was gone, and he looked tired & demoralized. His MBA didn't help when he ran his own businesses into the ground in private life, and it hasn't helped him now as he runs our country into the ground. He will go down in history as the single worst president this country has ever had.

And, he wants you to vote for McCain as the man who will follow his philosophy & policies. If I were McCain, I'd tell him not to let my name cross his lips until after November 5.
