Why would we want a President that does not know how to mulitask? I was going to vote for Mccain but now that he's backing out on his promise i'm not sure anymore.

I really hope people who are losing their homes and jobs are paying attention....

Then MCSAME FLEW IN LATE and screwed it up!

His real goal to to have it moved to next week so Palin can be cancelled. A no-show by McCain is a failure by him to face the people!!! He is needed as much as a new car or house for his wife!!!

If McCain doesn't show up to the debates and Obama does, they should just do a 90 minute long interview/town hall with Obama. That way Obama will get the respect and exposure he deserves for staying the course and not folding under pressure.

Look at it this way: in any sport, if one team doesn't show up, the other team wins.

McCain is NOT ducking. He has wanted to debate 10 times and Obama has said NO each time. If this was a terrorist attack you people would change your tune.

McChicken the psuedo-patriot and hero of his own mind needs to grow a pair of McNuggets and join in the debates! Cowardly, small-minded, petty girly-man that he is.

How long it will take to go from Arlington to Oxford by plane? Anyway he doesn't need to do another booking and follow a specific schedule, he could skid off as soon as he want.

Taking the debate is just taking a break from his office in capitol hill...come on John, less than 2 hours breaks won't hurt anyone, by the way, you are not even been included in the meeting, so what are you trying to hide from, the question? or the answer?

There has been a lot of speculation that there is more to this story.

Is McCain in poor health and that's why he can't take part in the debates? The voters have a right to know.

If he's at home now, he can debate tomorrow night. The photo op has finished–did McCain achieve anything? What ramifications will McCain face if he does attend the debate?

It is absolutely DESPICABLE that a "war hero" such as McCain would chicken out on a debate. What a complete disappointment to the American people.

Bravo McCain for the political stunt. You deserve to lose.

If God forbid we were attacked, or there was a major storm… Not 1 person would argue with the debate and the campaigning being delayed. This is as serious a crisis as either of the above mentioned. Why is everyone up in arms that McCain is doing his day job of being a senator?? We are seeing strong leadership in McCain.

So John...did you take time to sit down and read the Bailout bill before you went into the meeting? As of this morning you admitted you hadn't. So if you didn't think it was important enough to read, what are you doing in Washington? Oh yea...trying to look like "YOU" were the reason something gets done. Next time, how about taking 15 minutes and read the bill. And people want this man to be president.
