Since when is "decisiveness" a liability. I thought it was a mark of a courageous leader. Perhaps Ms. Parker is jealous of a true leader. Sarah Palin is the second most qualified of the 4, and absolutely more qualified than Obama. He hasn't done ANYTHING except advance HIMSELF. He is a rookie Senator who has only participated in 47% of the Senate's actions since he took office. It blows me away that the Dems or anyone for that matter think that he is remotely qualified to be President or even a Senator. Sarah Palin is AWESOME and the history books will indicate the great leadership of the first woman Vice, then President of the United States of America!

She does not represent my views at all, and I never planned on voting for that ticket to begin with, but I seriously found myself feeling sorry for her when I watched her Couric interview. The other interviews were bad enough, even the Hannity softball one, but OMG, watching her just makes me feel like you do when a little kid is in a school play and completely forgets his lines and you just feel sorry for him and you almost want to reach out and help him somehow, but you can't.

Whatever overconfidence and bravado this individual was able to display in the beginning has melted into a confused deer-in-the-headlights.

I personally hope she stays on the ticket, as she is absolute gift for the Obama/Biden ticket, which has been my opinion since she was chosen.

I feel saddened by what is happening to Sarah Palin. It is so unfair to her. McCain's poor judgment is costing her her reputation. I am a conservative but I cannot vote for McCain as the long this campaign the more McCain shows his poor judgment. McCain is not fit to be president. He has been wrong on every single issue that has come up lately. I won't vote for Obama but he, surely, is the better candidate of the two.

All personal distaste for Palin aside, this conservative-written article is correct. Mccain now has a terrible decision ahead of him-keep her and perhaps lose because of it....or replace her, and perhaps lose because of it.
If he is honest in replacing her, it might work....but if he dreams up some silly excuse and lie to do it, that will finish him off.

This is REALLY where Mccain must decide if it will truly be COUNTRY FIRST....

If McCain was smart (which he's not – he graduated 894 out of 899 at the Naval Academy) he would privately ask Palin to step aside. She would then announce that she was stepping down to devote more time to her family. At this point McCain would bring Mitt Romney on board. Romney is the only Repub. out there who can speak to the voters about the economy, make the voters believe he knows what he's talking about, and effectively take on Obama and Biden at the same time. However, McCain (like Bush) is stubborn and, like I said, not that smart (just like Bush). So of course he will keep Palin on the ticket, she'll get trounced and exposed at the VP debate, McCain will continue to flail around on the economy ilke a fish out of water, and McCain's poll numbers will continue to drop like a brick until Nov. 4th.

If she did drop out, and Romney stepped in, that would be the game changer McCain would need to reverse the way this election is going (due to the economic climate). the best way to consider a VP candidate is whether or not the party would rally around them if the Pres candidate suddenly died 6 weeks before the election. By that standard, does anyone believe that the Repubs would rally around Palin if McCain dropped dead tonight? If they did, it would be clear that their soul is completely gone from the party. It is already clear, because of their support of a candidate who has lost control of her family's values, not just family values. Their support of Palin illustrates that their diatribes and barbs against minorities, the poor, and Democrats are just empty rhetoric, as we believed all along. could you imagine if the Obama children had children out of wedlock? That would be fair game to them and national news.

I truly believe that the Repubs are throwing this election, knowing that its a loss because of GWB, and are hopeful that Obama gets stuck with the mess that they created.

Well, Dan Quayle had that spelling problem. Sarah Palin has that stringing-words-together and stringing-ideas-together problem. Both on the short side, although Quayle at least could think something through.

You'd think that, even left on her own, that just by chance random word fragments would meet random-thought fragments, and something reasonable would come out. Like an ape writing "The Great Gatsby." You'd think; maybe she just needs a little more time? Or has she had enough rope to finally do herself, and McCain, in?
