McCain says he's feeling better about the financial crisis because of movement in the bipartisan negotiations in Congress, possibly an attempt to justify why he is here at the debate tonight.

Obama seems to have more substance. McCain is zeroing in on budget cuts and taxes.
"feeling better" about the crisis?? All of my elected officials have said that they are receiving 500 to 1 calls/e-mails demanding "no Bailout". How could ANYONE "feel better about it"???

Is it just me or is McCain not making much sense?
I speak four languages (I must be an elitist) but apparently McCain speak is not one of them because I really don't understand most of what he's talking about.
Why haven't these people in Congress called in NON partisan economists to give us some different views? Ain't too excited about turning over $700 billion to politicians and political appointee who doesn't want to be reviewed.

McCain is going off campaign talking points while Obama is going into the issues. He's really bringing out the faults of the Bush administration that McCain is trying to defend.

Four more years of the last eight is not the remedy. It seems as though there are two tides at work. The narrow minded stagnate way of yesterday and a growing trend of embracing the future.

obviously he's justifying why he's there because he messed up, he never should have tried to back out in the first place. and as far as substance goes, how can you go from supporting such a strong woman as Hilary to a McCain Palin ticket? Obviously you don't have much substance in what you stand for because McCain and Hilary policies aren't even in the same ballpark.

Place the blame where it belongs, on the dems who have repeatedly blocked legislation that would have prevented this crisis. Now that they got us all into this situation, they want help to get out of it.
