Schneider: McCain scores points on experience

CNN

Watch: Sen. McCain outlines differences between his plan for the presidency and Sen. Obama's plan.

OXFORD, Mississippi (CNN) - McCain, in talking about Afghanistan and Pakistan, is drawing on his vast experience for the first time in this debate, and it really sounds very convincing.

And now he is waxing sentimental. Any minute now will be the "I was a POW" line. No place for this.

Sorry not to me. I think his ideas sound old and stale. He only supports war and more war.

I'm not a fan of Obama but he is clearly more articulate...McCain is angry, will not look at Obama and gives evasive answers...please give the audience a little more credit

Christ, this is like the BATTLE OF THE SOB STORIES. I think the only people listening now are the AARP and VFW crowd. How about the rest of us who aren't in Iraq who are about to lose our jobs and will have to join the Army in order to get paid?

Sounds convincing???? of what being a prisoner of war...Being Bank rupt does not make you an expert on economy...
Running a state that gives 3.5 % of oil does not make you an expert in our resources

No one is questioning McCain's experience- but people are concerned about the decisions he made during his years as Senator, and what he's done throughout his career and his policy positions.

I totally think McCain is not scoring points on foreign affairs; I do not want old school USA politics. I need somone who understands the world today not yesteryear. I do not want McCain to be Commander and Chief if all he wants to do is go to war and surge;l need to hear of dilplomacy w/ countries. McCain is such wild card. I need someone who thinks things through and does not do things on the fly. America does not need what McCain is offering. McCain scares me.

I have had the feeling that McCain has been speaking from his vast experience from the beginning...Obama has been speaking from what he was told this week.

John McCain called Pakistan a "Failed State". Pakistan really hates that, it' s what India says about the country.
