Has anyone yet called out McCain for his complete lack of understanding in saying that Pakistan was a failed state before Musharraf took power? He used that blatently false statement to make Obama appear naive, when it was really McCain who didn't know what the heck he was talking about. Pakistan was a democracy!

To "Bottom line":

Biden has given over 100 interviews since he was chosen. Alot more chances to slip up than through the now four questionings Palin has undergone, one of them from FOX News, a station so far up the GOP's butt that it comes as no surprise.

BOJO 08
BECAUSE MCCAIN AND PALIN AREN'T EVEN ON THE SAME PAGE

Hilarious!!

This whole thing is like a train wreak....

Since when does someone retract a comment on part of another person....oh yeh...

I've met with the Iraqi government, they don't want a 16 month withdrawal...I know them.

I've been friends with Kissinger for 30 years, that isn't what he meant.

...on and on...

Haven't we learned that it might be a good character trait to have a president who is willing to admit that he was wrong about something at any point during his administration?

To the guy who called his friend and had her talk to him... you need to get out more. Or change political parties. Probably the latter.

Forget about Palin.

McCain's sole line of attack, as stated numerous times in numerous ways during the debate, is that Obama is "not ready to lead". All but those utterly blinded by partisanship know this to be false. Whether or not you agree with the substance of Obama's positions, he clearly showed leadership Friday night, arguably more so than the reckless, stubborn McCain.

"people going around and… sticking a microphone while conversations are being held, and then all of a sudden that's—that's a person's position… This is a free country, but I don't think most Americans think that that's a definitve policy statement made by Governor Palin."
______________________________________________________

And McCain hasn't been doing that same thing to Obama? Please, if he wants to defend his VP, can he at least do it in a way that doesn't make him sound like the world's biggest f-----g hypocrite?

And why is MCCAIN retracting the statement and not PALIN? SHE is the one who made the d--n comment.

Sad but true. Republicans can not accept reality. Palin reminds me of Miss Teen USA SOuth Carolina when asked the question: Why is it that a fifth of the Americans fail to find the United States of America on a World Map? The aswer given was just like the answer Palin gave when asked about her claimed foreign policy experience. She woders like she is lost in the forest trying to find her way out.

My God, after the Couric interview - no less!!!

Don't the mcCain people realize that Palin should not be let loose to open her mouth? The secret service for Palin shoud mostly be deployed to make sure that she is not caught exchanging words with folks who are not paid by the McCain campaign.

Ordering Cheesetakes? Don't they have in-room dining service at the hotel she is holded up? If not, Least call the local Chinese restaurant and oder for delivery! Don't let her out of sight of the security detail!

At the beginning I just thought that Palin may not be sophisticated or intellectual and experienced but possessed native, raw intelligence. By now, I think she is flat out dumb, lacking necessary brain structure to absorb information spoon fed for her and the common sense judgment to realize what she is doing that would look so devastatingly stupid.

She is making the entire USA a laughing stock on a global scale.

I guess John McCain will follow Ossama bin Laden to the "gates of hell" or the Pakistan border, whichever he runs into first.

I'm glad he'll be sure to get Pakistan's permission before going after bin Laden. That's the kind of judgement I'm looking for in a President.

Hmmm...

Biden says Obama is NOT for Clean Coal...Obama says he is.

Biden didn't know which President presided in 1929.

Biden didn't know when TV was invented.

Biden says the Obama ad slandering McCain is outrageous and he never would have run it....

Yet the press continues to give the Obama campaign a free ride...why is that?

The BAIL OUT bill failed on Thursday because Obama opened his big mouth, and made Republicans ANGRY!

Why is there 20% of the 70 Billion dollars going to the ACORN Group?
A group that is under investigation for breaking election laws! A group that DODD wrote into the bill?

A group that supports Obama. A group that the Woods Fund and the CAC that Obama was CFO and Chairman of the Board alos funneled money to....MILLIONS. WHY aren't you reporting on this CNN?

McCain can't even keep track of his own everchanging positions never mind having to babysit for Palin. HIs decision to choose Palin as a running mate was a huge failure !! According to many conservative pundits and politicians (National Reveiw) " We (republicans) Cannot run ona theme of Country First and then Have SARAH Palin as our pick for Vice President!!! She must leave the ticket!!"
I am just fine leaving her there as it is bringing more McCain supporteres to their senses!!
God forbid anybody ask her any meaningful questions when she does not have a mic in her ear!!!!!

Obama Biden o8!!!

SHUT UP......WITH YOUR LIES, CNN!!! SENATOR MCCAIN WAS JUST ASKED ABOUT THIS ON ABC, THIS WEEK. CNN PICKS ON ANYTHING IT CAN TO DISCREDIT GOVERNOR PALIN AND THIS ACT IS SHAMEFUL TO THIS COUNTRY. IF CNN WOULD BE HONEST AND STOP FORCING OBAMA ON THE COUNTRY, ALL WOULD THEN BE FAIR. CNN IS A LEFT WING, LIBERAL RAG OF A NETWORK THAT ACTS IN THE WORST INTEREST OF THIS COUNTRY.

Lol. yeah well... "If B.S. were currency, Palin could bail out Wall Street herself"... All said, uh?

She's a fool. And as governor and VP she could even more care for what she says, and because that was an act of campaigning yesterday, so her private opinion should be let out!
Haha, she's a joke and well Thursday she has a chance for showing, that this job can't be learned in around a month.
Barack might have been less "experienced" but well, you know, he trains for being a president(and he will be awesome) for 19-20 months now. He is ready to lead. Mrs. Palin IS NOT!

This is what he gets for choosing her. I have always been a strong supporter of Obama, but if he were going to choose a woman for a running mate, why her? There were many far more qualified and intelligent women in the Republican party who would have gotten him far more votes in the process. I might not have agreed with their policies, but they would not have been all out stupid and dangerous to the point of destruction. McCain tried to pick someone he thought he could control. I hope women aren't dumb enough to vote for him because she is on the ticket. Lord forbid she ever end up as president and we're lucky enough to have an America after that, there won't be a woman for years to come. It is unfortunate that women and blacks and any other minority have to make that first impression, but it is a reality, and she will most certainly set women back; not advance them.

Get out of the fog.

Have you been impacted by the inadiquite policies of the past eight years?
Do you know anyone out of work?
Lost their home?
Lost their life for a misdirected war?
Returned home with PTSD?

Look around you. Maybe down your own street. Talk to your family and get out of the fog.

Vote for Obama

Straight Talk - I say what I believe and you can believe what I say

John McCain - Just because I said something doesn't mean I believe it.

Is the problem that she doesn't know what she believes because the campaign hasn't told her yet? Amazing.

The Obama supporters PROTEST too much that the great Obama should win and will win.

In reality the Obama campaign is the pig with lipstick. They campaign on a message of unity and hope and then they employ vulgar, foul filthy tactics to divide and conquer their own party, to gut and trash the BEST democratic candidate and to steal the nomination.

The whole world is aware that the BEST choice was HRC- yet the superdelegates installed Obama.

Now the pigs in lipstick try to force the very voters they trashed- to vote for Obama. Some strategy and some hope. Some unity and some change.

Poor Palin. I am not a fan of her, but I so sympathize with her. She is completely out of her league, having been dropped into a heated race with very little substantive qualifications. I find it hypocritical that the Right has long decried the ills of quota-based affirmative action and then they choose this woman based on that same ideology. She was picked simply because she is a woman. Now she finds herself completely out of her league and dangerously close to upending the campaign with her recklessly delivered memorized policy stances. The media is ripping her apart, and with good reason. She needs to step aside BEFORE Thursday's debate for the good of America. She needs to put "Country First," rather than her intoxication with political power.

And, by the way, where are her tax returns?! As taxpayers have to bailout Wall Street, she is the only candidate on either side who has not released her taxes. Why is that?

I kind of like the remarks of Biden and Hillary when they said Obama lack any experience and would be a poor choice for president. Guess that makes Biden a flip flopper too.

Just wait and see...Sarah Palin is going to have a family emergency that is going to keep her from the debate this week. She is not ready, McCain and his advisors know it. Just you wait and see, there will be a family emergency and she will have to go home.

Why in the world would any self respecting woman choose to be the running mate of John McCain? I can just imagine what goes on behind the scenes knowing about the famous temper of McCain. This guy, should he be elected, will have absolutely nothing to do with her except to pull her out for photo ops. Ego first on both their parts.

oh please McCain and all you Republicans....the bottom line here and I blame McCain for this. He chose someone to help GET HIM ELECTED withou vetting that person or even knowing that person. Obama on the other had could have won this election on "popularity" bu choosing Hillary but he didnt! He put the health of his administration first to help govern this country. You Republicans and the McCain campaign are being EXPOSED for all you are. I am sure that you will even TRY to say McCain brokered a deal on this bail out....NOT GOING TO WORK FOLKS...McCain is an opportunist and is self severing his interests only!

It's not Gov. Air-Head's remarks which need to be retracted, it's the moron herself. I gotta be honest, her stupidity was fun to laugh at for a while but the joke's worn off for me. This country, and our world, have too much at stake for her to continue as a candidate with a real possibility of becoming President one day. I wish to God, not as a Democrat but as an American citizen, she's be replaced on the Rep. ticket as soon as possible.

This whole campaign has become "adventures in damage control". It's hard to stay on message when you can't even decide among yourselves what the message is. I know, the message is, "This campaign's a mess."
