(CNN)– Gov. Sarah Palin will now spend two and a half days near Sedona, Arizona, to prepare for Thursday's debate, instead of prepping in St Louis, as originally planned.
Sarah Palin will be at John McCain's rustic creek side home outside Sedona for what a top aide calls "debate camp."
The aide, who's part of the team prepping Palin, tells CNN they decided to take her to debate camp there because it is an "invigorating and enjoyable place to prepare for Thursday."
"SP [Sarah Palin] loves it and has her kids and Todd coming," wrote the aide in an email.
The aide said "John McCain himself came up with the idea after thinking it would be great before his next debate.
Pailin has already been hunkered down for four days in a Philadelphia hotel for debate prep with advisers.
She will take a short break Monday to attend a rally with McCain in Ohio, before heading to Arizona.

Joe is going to take her to school. What a joke of a candidate! Even SNL's Tina Fey couldn't write better comedy than Saint Sarah comes up with on her own. Debate Camp indeed!
OBAMA/BIDEN '08
She needs all the help she can get. Is a week of debate camp enough?
No amount of "Debate Camp" can help Sarah Palin. She has proven she has NO measurable IQ.
GO OBAMA!
Even with all her cramming for the debate she's still going to have trouble. For goodness sake, she can't even keep McCain's policies straight in an interview!
It sounds like Palin will be like a POW at the "dabate camp". I wonder on Monday at the Ohio rally if she will have a muzzle on!
I think Sarah is better than what the critics imply.
Obama has had 2 years to get on message and deviate from carefully prepared, scripted and crafted speeches. He can barely ad lib coherently now- and the media adores him and has his back.
Biden has had 30 years in the spotlight and is known for similar gaffes as Sarah has been making- and he has experience and the media on his side.
Sarah is fresh and new and is fighting the vitriolic Obamanation as well as a biased media hell bent on dragging her down. So... actually... she is doing pretty well.
Careful, people. Don't underestimate her. She got where she is real fast. Stepping on a few people along the way, it seems. And did you hear they changed the debate rules on McCain's/Palin's request? Only two minute interchange after answering questions. This may actually be a good format for her, and since the expectations are SOOOOOO low, she might beat them.
maybe she needs to debate John first. Don't treat me like a lady. I can speak for myself.
Confused,
Palin's position on Pakistan, according to her latest statement, is actually responsible as far as I am concerned. If we have a direct sight on terrorists and Pakistan is not willing to go after them then we do. The problem is that McCain called Obama naive and irresponsible but is defending Palin. That is hypocritical and I'm sure you aren't confused about what that means.
Too funny
Sarah Palin was a total moron with her Pakistan comment, only because McCain had to corect it, it was not his stance, he will let Bin Laden run even if we can see him, else there would be no reason to have wars...
just like Obama is for holding basically the same position. And if thats is so, why are we then sending soldiers and planes over the border ??
Sarah Palin is the gift given to Democrats that keeps on giving.
She is a total moron!!
OBAMA-BIDEN
Wonder if she will look Biden in the eye.
This woman's a joke
McCain for Afghanistan Czar '08!
ONE NATION
.........Snicker.........
Baffled;
Don't hurt your brain too much.
I am a foreigner and I am amazed of how nearly half the country feels that McCain can be the next president. He is rude (as shown in debate), chose Palin just to win election, separated with his own party leader (Bush) just to win election, irrational, and irresponsible (as shown by the fact that he blaming everyone for current econimic woes when he voted for Bush 90% of the time). And more importantly, can he take the stress and responsibility of a president at this age? It's really a joke
This won't help her. SHE IS TOAST JUST LIKE HER MCDADDY!
Oh, I am sure that Sarah will have no problem with this debate.... she will surely use the same ear plug listening device that McCain no doubt wore in the debate with Obama, which explains why he did not look at Obama even once. He was being coached. He had to listen closely. Bush did it....looks to me like McCain did.... do we seriously think that Palin is less able to be coached into saying what she should when she should. Give the woman credit... I am sure she can do at least that much!
Just don't forget that she is a bulldog with lipstick! *LOL* She proved that in her interview with Katie! Right?
Its sad to think she needs it, but if I knew I was going to have a big test I'd be studying too. I have yet to decide who I will vote for, but I think it is a smart move on her part considering the last few interviews have not exactly went in her favor. I look forward to hearing her speak and finding out what she really believes. One way or another. Good luck Mrs. Palin.
HEY McCAIN ~I can see a Taco Bell from my kitchen window, can I be your Foreign Policy Advisor?
OBAMA/BIDEN 2008!
Maybe she should stay in Philadelphia and hangout at the cheesesteak shop so the college students can prep her for the debate!
Is she caring for her children while at Debate Camp? She should be able to multi-task.
Let's see if she can manage to have her own thoughts. We already know what McGimmick thinks, what does SHE thinks?
"Debate Camp" is McCain lingo for "Let's teach you all the stuff a VP should know BEFORE they are picked, and hope that you don't screw up too badly".
Seriously, Biden is going to absolutely annihilate her in this debate. But Biden should be careful, because anything he says will be spun into being sexist.
BOJO '08
Because Sarah Palin Anywhere Near the White House is a Frightening Thought
Too funny!
Sarah Palin will probably "fall" off a cliff in Sedona and have to cancel the debate! LOL!!!
@baffled
Because she went against her leader McPoorJudgement for picking her on this very issue just one night after he disagreed with Senator Obama.
