Hey CNN, why aren't you showing Senator Obama making these comments on television. You've already showed McCain's rally today and his & Gov Palin's comments in their entirety. Where is the equal TV coverage for Senators Obama and Biden?????!!!! Enough bias already!!! The American public needs to hear directly from all candidates without your and the political pundits continuing filtering!!! Waiting to see Senators Obama and Biden TODAY!!!!!

P.S. I know this will not be posted....

Republicans, Democrats...who cares who's to blame. The fact of the matter is we don't have 700 billion dollars. This money is coming out of thin air. From no where. Were going to just print the money and throw it out into the market, causing some nasty inflation. As if it's not already bad enough as it is. Now Obama and McCain are playing the blame game, who cares who's to blame. The fact is that the House made the right decision in killing this proposal. This campaign is really annoying, as are all campaigns. All they do is distract from both of their terrible stances on issues day after day. How about vote for a third party candidate who doesn't play all these stupid games and focuses on the issues.

If I had a dime for every lie the republicans have told this week, I could fill up my car....that is if I can find a gas station that has gas. This is repulsive the way this Nation is suffering. November 4th the GOP will be suffering.

John McCain is blaming and putting a spin that it was the Democrats and Obama's fault. OH MY GOD.. America is much smarter than that!

I would shut up while I'm behind and digging a deeper and deeper hole in my fast falling campaign.

Americans are just plain hurting today and the tail between his legs maverick should be just a little sensitive to this situation. As in "Shut your mouth” You are losing your mind..

Let me get this straight. The "maverick" "suspended" his campaign to tackle this crisis head-on. When he got there all negotiations came to a halt. He has been on the phone with several of his republican friends since the debate on Friday. Now his republican friends have killed the bill, but it's Obabma's fault?

Did someone slip something in McCain's drink???

If anything all of the events leading up to this smell very suspicious for tampering by the McCain camp in order to gain some political advantage, though I don't know what they could stand to gain here?

I say Arizona should wake up and vote this guy out!!!

Obama stays calm and proposes solutions. McCain gets fired up and spouts off without thinking. To anyone still on the fence about how to vote in November, this crisis should provide your answer.

Republicans voting no on this bill ( to bail out George Bush failed policy) is strong indication of the new low affecting the republican party.
Democrats did what they supposed to do, and now they should move back and let Push convince his people to find a solution to this problem.

Look what happened people.

Finally, the Republicans heard our voice. The majority of the people in this country do NOT support a bailout. Finally, someone in Washington listened.

The Democrats voted for it, knowing it is NOT what John Doe public wants.

McCain has no shame. You blame Democrats and Obama for the mess that YOU, BUSH and Republican party created?! :) What a joke!

McCain is soooooo desperate now, he will be accusing Obama in starting the crisis :)
Anything to distract people from McCain's DEREGULATION voting record: SOW THE WIND AND REAP THE WHIRLWIND.

How are the democrats at fault when they provided 2/3rds of their votes and the republicans only provided 1/3? Oh, a little speach by a democrat that most republicans don't listen to upset them that much? Please!

I thought this was supposed to be a bi-partisan bill. Well, just another reason you shouldn't vote republican. They don't know that 50% is half way, not 33.33%.

It is mathematics people. Vote Obama - The candidate and the party who can do the math!

Obama is Presidential while McCain choses blame others. Interesting enough he's says Obama's plan will cause a deeper recession. Wait a minute didn't his campaign say this was a "mental recession." Didn't McCain say that the fundamentals of the economy were sound last week? More lies from McCain's corner.

He tries to take credit for the bailout then when that doesn't work he blames Obama and the democrats even though it was 2/3rds of his party that opposed it. It's two faced lies. Sink the bill and blame it on the opposition. I'm tired of this. Aren't you??

Obama and the Dems are to blame. They refused to work together in the first place with Republican, then they begged for their votes. Obama is too busy campaigning that he only phones in suggestions. For a man with no legislative accomplishment is should not be surprising that he did not want to go to Washington. Why? Because he would not be very effective since he has little expereince in getting a bill started. Obama only "signs-on" after all the work is done. Obama is worthless and sooner or later voters will realize it. Maybe too late, but reality will hit.

I really don't believe this.

First, I have no sympathy for Wall St or Washington. As long as it was just the public being hurt, it's ok. Now, it's them so we need to act FAST!!

How about that 10 billion per week in Iraq? And don't say "the surge is working", that can only be proven if we leave and the country stays civil. If it doesn't, the surge was just a band-aid.

Second, how shameful and low can McCain sink? He attacks, lies (more that anyone), any chance he gets. He changes strategies so much I don't know where he is coming from half the time.

I'm sorry I ever backed him, but I will NOT make that mistake again.

unemployment 6.5
market fell-777.67 points
10,000 homes lost today
11 Trillion deficit

Barack Obama kept Presidential politics out of negotiations on the Republican Administrations bill, that would fix the Republican Administrations MESS, while still keeping in touch with the people who were in control of the negotiations.

john McCain injected his politics, adding nothing to the negotiations but unneeded distractions and a photo op, tries to take credit for the work others have done while dinning at the Lieberman estate....and when the Republicans once again FAIL to put politics aside...John McCain again blames Obama for McCain's incompetence....John McCain is not only stupid, he is DANGEROUS!!!!!!!!!!!! anyone fool enough to vote for McCain deserves to loose their life savings, homes, jobs and every thing else they loose from having McCain in office....they deserve to get from McCain what we have all had to suffer from Bush!!! i am sick of McCain and his lies and erratic babble

This is what I call "Presidential"..
You cannot do dirty talk or politics when there is such a grave problem...

I agree that Mccain was not crushed in the debate but certainly he showed all the signs of an ARROGANT President (just like Bush)
Did anyone notice that Mccain was not EVEN looking at the other person while shaking his hands (forget about during the debate)

lol

So now I play this new game. It's great. As you read along and pick up on a line that says anything like "the McCain camp accused Obama of.." STOP right there. Then fill it in with the most generic answer you feel applies.

is it... politics before country? why yes! one point.

double plus good bonuses if you arrived at your guess by thinking about what McCain is doing, but accuses Obama of

As usual, these partisan clowns can't do the right thing and both slimy parties blame each other. This is exactly what has been wrong with this country for 8 years and it won't get any better.
These low slackers would rather make political points than solve a crisis...and that is BOTH parties

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and his top aides took credit for building a winning bailout coalition – hours before the vote failed and stocks tanked.

The rush to claim he had engineered a victory now looks like a strategic blunder that will prolong the McCain’s campaign’s difficulty in finding a winning message on the economy.

Shortly before the vote, McCain had bragged about his involvement and mocked Sen. Barack Obama for staying on the sidelines.

Lorna,

I totally agree!!!! McCain suspended his campaign, supposedly, to have this meeting with these house republicans and they were the ones who voted against the bill. What I also find interesting is that he is for the bailout plan.

Who's the failure of leadership now!?!?!?!?

I totally agree!!!! McCain suspended his campaign, supposedly, to have this meeting with these house republicans and they were the ones who voted against the bill. What I also find interesting is that he is for the bailout plan.

I am horrified by Nancy Pelosi's incessant use of the words "failed Bush Administration policies" today, yesterday and throughout her reign. I don't recall a more partisan "leader" in Congress. Main street, Wall Street, all members of Congress and Bush, corrupt business owners, and our largely uninformed electorate all have roles in this failure of all failures.
