They (Reagan and Clinton) had fought bitter primaries and ended up at the top of the ticket. Palin was a last minute impulse option by the aging and frankly quite indecisive senator McCain.
I am a Republican but I'm disgusted with the direction of the country's foreign policy of unilateralism, endless wars, bad financial decisions, risky choices (in wars and selection of the vice presidential candidate) etc. This is sure harbinger of dark days ahead were McCain to get elected. With friends like this who needs enemies.
I am putting my country first and voting Democrat this time.
