Obama gains ground in CNN’s latest electoral map update.
Obama gains ground in CNN’s latest electoral map update.

(CNN) – Barack Obama’s fresh edge in new CNN/Time/Opinion Research Corporation polls released Wednesday are resulting in gains on the CNN Electoral Map. Minnesota, and its 10 electoral votes, from toss up to lean Obama. Missouri, with 11 electoral votes up for grabs, is shifting from lean McCain to toss up. With those moves, CNN estimates that if the presidential election were held today, Obama would win states that total 250 electoral votes and John McCain states totaling 189 electoral votes, with 99 electoral votes still up for grabs. Two-hundred and seventy electoral votes are needed to win the White House. Obama has a 61 electoral vote advantage over McCain, up from a 40 point lead the previous CNN Electoral Map.

Watch: John Roberts and John King on the battlegrounds

In Minnesota, where the Republican convention was held a month ago, 54 percent of those questioned are backing Obama, and 43 percent support McCain — a major jump over the 2 point advantage Obama held over McCain in last month’s poll.

And the Illinois senator appears to erased McCain’s edge in Missouri — site of Thursday’s VP debate — where 49 percent of those polled are backing Obama and 48 percent supporting McCain. One month ago, Obama was down 5 points to McCain in the last poll. The only other new poll in Missouri, a Research 2000 survey, indicates McCain ahead by one point.

Check out CNN's latest electoral map

“At this point, the state polls are starting to reflect the same movement we’ve seen in the national polls over the last couple of weeks,” said CNN Senior Political Researcher Alan Silverleib. “Obama has been on an upward swing ever since the meltdown on Wall Street. The economic crisis is reinforcing the country’s desire for change, which is in turn helping the Democrats. If the current trends hold and McCain loses traditional red states like Florida and Virginia, it is hard to see how he can get to 270 electoral votes on Election Day.”

The CNN Electoral Map takes into account a number of factors, including the most recent state polls, voting trends, and campaign ad spending and events in the particular states.

The CNN/Time Magazine/Opinion Research Corporation polls were conducted September 28-30, with 940 registered voters and 770 likely votes in Florida, 929 registered voters and 849 likely voters in Minnesota, 951 registered voters and 744 likely voters in Missouri, 924 registered voters and 684 likely voters in Nevada, and 925 registered voters and 684 likely voters in Virginia all questioned by telephone. The survey's sampling error is plus or minus 3.5 percentage points in Florida, Minnesota and Missouri, and 4 percentage points in Nevada and Virginia.

I must say, there are some shifty sneaky dishonest humans on this site.

STILL pretending Obama is a Muslim is so lame.

Rezko loves Obama   October 1st, 2008 4:43 pm ET

Obama is an admitted Socialist who does not share the values of American voters. The voters will pay him back in spades in November by sending him and Hair Plugs back to the Senate. Obama will ruin this economy by over taxing everyone. He will have a disasterous effect on the stock market if elected. Foreign dictators will test him and I'm sure he'll fail since he thinks he can snap his fingers, call a meeting with evil leaders and lead us to happiness. McCain's fiscal policies are needed at a time like this, don't strangle business and capital. If Obama truely had foresight he would have worked with McCain to regulate Freddie and Fannie over the past few years but Obama didn't care.

McCain/Palin 2008. Obama and Bill Ayers can go light M-80s in the South Side of Chicago for all I care.

The people are finally looking beyond the traditional Republican mantras that appeal to the emotions instead of reason.

Who in their right mind would want four more years of Republican incompetence and mismanagement???

They took credit for Clinton's surplus after fighting him every step of the way, but when they had total control of both houses and the white house -look at what they produced!

Only the most stupid and ignorant would stick with the Repugs after what they have done to this country…

Biden can't manage his finances   October 1st, 2008 4:43 pm ET

How can Biden have less money saved up an less towards his retirement than I do?

I make 1/10 of the wages he and his wife make- and even I am losing my retirement savings in the market collapse.

Biden does not even donate to any charities.

HOW can he be "poor"

We all better be sure and vote as I don't really trust any poll..

Remember people to go out and vote, polls look great but what u don't want happening is people saying " wow look at that lead, I won't vote because everyone else will" Don't let that happen because then McCain will win.

Outsider   October 1st, 2008 4:42 pm ET

As a Canadian observing the US election, a couple of things struck me:

1. Bush and the Republican party ran the USA into the ground: economy, Iraq war, civil liberties
2. Despite that fact, it is still a close election

Conclusion: 1. Americans are living on an other planet 2. Or, they have been brain washed (you figue out how) 2. Race – it is just hard for some folks to see a black man in the White House; 3. Keeping up appearances – me, myself, and I at the ballot box (a vote cannot lie).

Rob   October 1st, 2008 4:42 pm ET

Eric–you need to wake up . If we vote McCain and the idiot–we'll be the laughing stock of every country…He's an old man with an old point of view .He's out-dated in this world–if this was 1960 that would be something else.

EVERYBODY GET OUT THERE AND VOTE–THIS IS THE OCTOBER SURPRISE ROVE WASN'T HOPING FOR

Andy   October 1st, 2008 4:42 pm ET

I'll believe it when I see it. We've had polls like this in both of the previous elections, and neither ended as predicted. I want Obama to win for all kinds of reasons. Mostly because having someone less intelligent than the average American in the White House has proven you do actually need to know what you're doing in order to run the country.

I just can't fathom where we'd be if we had another 4 years of incompetence running the country. One thing to remember is that regardless of who wins, the cost of the previous 8 years will affect both of their terms, and probably the next 4 after that. The price and sacrifice we'll have to pay to put all this right will make whoever leads the country next an extremely unpopular President.

Eddie   October 1st, 2008 4:41 pm ET

I hope all of you blacks out there remember one thing–the bradley effect, this is what is going to save john mccain because we do not need a racist like Obama and his wife!

leapfrog   October 1st, 2008 4:41 pm ET

I know this sounds rudimentary…but: the only way Obama is going to win this is if the Dems get out an vote. Traditionally, they don't. GOP voters tend to have high turnout, and Dems low…which is why, despite there being more registered Dems, the GOP tends to win the White House.

So…GET OUT AN VOTE!!!! Don't come up with an excuse not to.

beevee   October 1st, 2008 4:41 pm ET

This is all fine and good but this news should not lull them into thinking they are going to win the election. It is time for the campaign to press hard and keep the gains in their pocket and not throw them away with any major slip ups.

USAF Staff Sergeant   October 1st, 2008 4:41 pm ET

Obama supporters: there's really no point arguing with the McCain supporters and the faux democrats. It's like trying to win an argument with a brick wall. Just let them spew their childish hate, and enjoy their whining and ranting when Obama wins.

Hold your elected officials accountable! Watch, listen, be vigilent and call your Election officials to make sure this election is on the up and up. Most importantly, watch for buses and suspicious activity on election day and REPORT IT! Visit caucusanaylsis dot org for examples of how Obama is stealing this election!

Both young

Both deliver a prepared speech really well.
One has NO experience, the other has little experience.

It should be a bigger gap than that! If Obama wasn't black he would be ahead by 30 points. It's all those hateful folks down in the southern states with way too many electoral votes. Give me a break you McCain bloggers, are you really that impressed by McCain and is short temper. A self admitted no nothing about the economy man. Or is the very sharp Palin that get's you, the one that cannot hold interviews because she knows nothing! Even the agreement on the debate had to be prescript questions so they can coach her. She can't even name one single supreme court case. And just think, this pin head could be our President.

gene   October 1st, 2008 4:38 pm ET

I have to say that after all the smearing.. all the conservative talk shows trying to kill his campaign, after all the blogs trying to destroy him… Obama just stays cool, calm, collective, organized, and unlike McCain, has no problem looking his opponent in the eye.

You repub conservative far right whackos can say what you like.. but in the end… you have to admit that throughout all this adversity, Obama is one tough sob… and I'll be looking forward to having someone of his character and intelligence in the white house. It'll be a great change from the pandering, vacationing, below average IQ leadership we've had in the last 8 years.

Even McCain couldnt believe he went through this path of lies, smears and dishonorable campaign. I was online last night and watched the view again. i saw Bab asked mccain…"what happened to you"? this is not the McCain of 2004..that is completely true. I am an african american looking to see good campaign this yr. Untill the smears started and McCain was quoted saying he did the smears cos Obama wont agree to do 10 town hall meetings!!! I was so sad for a man who i used to hold so high allowed himself to be dragged down like a little child. It prompt me to ask same question…WHERE IS THE MCCAIN OF 2004?

I guess gone like Titanic…

Gebeorge Napalotino   October 1st, 2008 4:37 pm ET

It is not amazing that the McCain campaign is now whining about Gwen Ifill — just because she has a forthcoming book which covers Obama. His campaign is getting exposed for what it is and is fast losing ground in key states. So, he has to do any thing and every thing to change the headlines. A black reporter is not capable of maintaining professionalism — even one of Ifill's stature.

I hope the American people are seeing through this maneuvers — maneuvers designed to hoodwink the American electorate. No more 2000! No more 2004! Truth is going to prevail this time around.

DR   October 1st, 2008 4:37 pm ET

We need intelligent, thought out well managed, moral, fair government that works for US, not for big oil and big insurance. This is good news for once, but as many others have already noted – let's not get complacent yet and think that this is over. We still have to win this thing for Obama, and that means getting everyone possible to vote for him. The GOP will not go down without a protracted and dirty fight. So be it. I've made some headway recently in convincing some conservatives to vote for one of the other third party candidates. While I'd prefer a vote for BHO, I'll be satisfied with a few less votes for McCain. I'm in Ohio and I still have my doubts that we can take this state. The traditions of this sub-culture don't favor a progressive minded person like Mr. Obama. No point in getting down about it. We still have to fight hard and work for every vote. Good luck to all of the other BHO supporters in the battleground states. We're in this together.

Another point- Just because John McCain tells you something doesn't mean that it's completely true. Just because Barack Obama tells you something doesn't mean it's completely true. Do your own research, listen to both sides of the argument, and then do a bit of critical thinking. Blind, ignorant, brainwashed partisanship will be the death of democracy in the United States.

It is a really good news to America. Strong economy means power in terms of military and the likes. For the sack of this nation, republicans ought to put the country first by voting for Obama. The large La Crosse, WI crowd was extremely pleased with Obama today. It's rare when a speech can actually bring tears of American pride. That's right, Obama instilled a pride I have not seen since shortly after 9/11.

The state papers will cover this over the next couple days. Wisconsin polls tend to show the effects in about 2 weeks.

I just think it's both sad and hilarious, as well as fitting and unsurprising, that McCain supporters are counting on racism to salvage his bid for the Presidency. But Will is right, we Obama supporters need to remain dilligent till the very end, to make sure that the these ruthless, heartless right-wingers who think that they are entitled to win every election don't cheat and steal their way into the White House by tampering with voting machines, dropping legitimate voters off of voter rolls, and trashing ballots that they don't like to win the election like they did in both 2004 and 2000.

America is slowly realizing that McCain is all about smash and grab, roughouse hardball politics. He's just another old school politics who is willing to overlook smears and lies to win.

America is tired of that junk & here is your proof. Obama will be our 44th president and we can be proud of that.

Mel   October 1st, 2008 4:32 pm ET

Polls don't vote, but if you put stock in them the only relevant ones are the ones the day before the election. We have 33 days to go. Do you leave the stadium and declare your team has won just because it's up by a few points in the third quarter?

Obama wins with the Kerry states plus Iowa, Colorado, and New Mexico. Those states give him 273 EV

Even throughout the Republican convention bounce he hung on to that 273 EV projection.

Now we have Indiana being somewhat competitive, Ohio and Florida and Nevada are still very tight but Obama is improving rather then falling there, and Obama is actually leading in Virginia and North Carolina. Real Clear Politics, which has been trending conservative in its estimates this election, have Obama getting a solid 301 EV, and other sites project even more.

It's morning in America.

Jon H.   October 1st, 2008 4:32 pm ET

I'm from Minnesota and I don't understand these polls!!!! Each time a new poll comes out, it goes from a 10+ point Obama lead to a dead heat. This has happened at least 4 times now. I think these pollsters need to take a better look at their methods.

All of the people who are saying Palin should drop out are Conservatives, not Dems, believe me, we would rather have her stay in.

The people who need to see what Palin is really like, will never see the Kuoric interview. They will remain comfortably numb in their bubble.

I know lots of good smart, nice women, who are educated and nice to look at, but that doesn't mean that they should be Vice President.

It is a realy good news for America. Without strong economy, it will be hard to fight two wars much less supporting our allies. Republicans ought to put the country first by electing Senator Obama. It simple as that. Strong Economy= Power in terms of strong military, influence, and several others. Ask the Soviets!. A well inform Republican should consider voting for the democratic ticket for the sack of this nation.

And this is why the McNipulator camp is trying to cast doubt on the VP debate moderator. More of their 11th hour politics. They have know of Ifle's book for months (which is not a biography of Obama and even is about Republican Colin Powel as well as other socio-political African American leaders) This is an attemp to McNipulate voters to think Palin will be treated unfairly. Brokaw is a McCain supporter who has come under scrutiny for media bias toward McCain and he will be a debate moderator for an upcoming Pres. debate. Do you hear Obama's camp complaining? So do we only trust white male moderators to be fair ? This is more protect Palin boloni. It is also sexist and racial predudice to asume an African American women is less capable to fairly moderate than a white male. Google "Brokaw McCain supporter" and see what YOU think.

The republican posters here will probably say that you are biased for reporting that Obama is ahead, but then again, they whine about everything that isn't spun their way. Funny how I didn't see any negative comments from them when you kept reporting that McCain was ahead.

I do not want to see a repeat of 2000, with an "appointed" president. The electoral college better vote with the will of the people.

Wake up people before it's too late. You don't understand what harm Obama could do to this country. McCain is far from perfect, but his better than the alternative. Take it from a fellow Democrat who voted for Casey in 06, Kerry in 04 and Gore in 2000.

Donna   October 1st, 2008 4:30 pm ET

For the "nightingale"–I had the honor of being at an event recently at which Michele Obama spoke. She had had several other events and I would have been dead tired.

She spoke for 45 minutes, without a note. People made comments to her while she spoke and she wove them into what she was saying. It was the opposite of a "soundbite" or canned speech.

Mrs. Obama was charming, warm, genuine, funny, and stunningly bright. She is also exceedingly beautiful. I would say it was one of the most moving and impressive presentations I have ever seen.

I feel sorry for your inability to see a genuinely remarkable and admirable person.

You can stop singing Obama is 10 points ahead on Mckiller in Ohio; so toss up is totally out of the equation. Little do you fools know that you need this man right. The blind leading the blind. McKiller wants your money just like he taking Ms. Mckiller money.

And to Pocholo – Stop being a racist and just come out of hiding and say what you feel. I mean really be an adult; I stopped playing hide and go seek and these silly games in elementary. How in the world can you guys trust a man whose telling you in your face he is going to take your money and cause many to suffer by giving you the same policies as Bush? Really do you guys care anything about our soldiers and their families? You people are not only sick but heartless and selfish.

Truly American – I totally agree with you! I cannot believe Americans are falling for Obama! He's a TALKER NOT A DOER!! Look at his record, there is absolutely NOTHING on it! No experience! He's never run a business, a city or a state!! You're going to entrust our nation into his hands? You're falling for the "used car salesman" that's all I can say. The house for sale is one of the McCain's former homes. Sold to another person a few years ago and now being re-sold again.

Teddy California   October 1st, 2008 4:27 pm ET

I am surprised that Obama has not pulled away in the current environment. In the past two and half weeks, the news was almost exclusively on the financial crisis. The party in the white house of course would be punished because of this. However, Obama still has not closed the sale. Actually. the trend toward Obama has stopped or even reversed in the recent days. ABC/Washington Post poll gave Obama advantage of 4% down from 9% and Gallup tracking poll gave Obama advantage of 4% down from 8 or 9%.

If Obama lost the election, you would blame his cautious approach. Obama could deliver the knock down punch during the debate. John McCain went to the debate with a big chain on his neck. Jim asked the question about the financial crisis. Obama did score points on the question. But he should have seized the opportunity to give McCain a fatal blow. McCain successfully shifted the debate to spending and earmarks and Obama egaged McCain on those topics.

That's our man! I don't even think CNN's electoral map is representative of what is going on in America – its a little bit behind.

The results of November 4th may be a surprise to some, disappointing to others. But to millions – this is what we've been waiting for. Obama will be the leader of the free world for at least the next four years – and he is going to win by a landslide. Obama has more supporters in America than the media can keep up with.

Most Americans believe Republicans caused this entire mess of the U.S. economy. Many can easily conclude that it was McCain who threw his name right in the mix of specific blame with his gamble to jump start his campaign by saying he had suspended it to go to DC to help with the bailout last week. Everyone knows, certainly this frequent commenter, that McCain's plan was a stunt to stimulate votes – it has clearly backfired, because there is no bailout bill vote in place. Americans are upset with Congress and now John McCain and the polls are starting to show it!

GARY   October 1st, 2008 4:26 pm ET

From observing many past elections, polls only show where the candiates stand so far in the battle for the White House. In reality, polls are not really reliable. The real poll will be on Nov. 4th and the result will be Obama. Democrats have registered so many more voters than Republicans and have a huge staff to get out the vote. And don't forget that a lot of people with cellphones are not included in this poll…..so the numbers should be bigger i nfavor of Dems. We will all see in Nov…….Go BAMA!!!!

Just goes to show that this financial disaster we are all in can't afford to go down the drain for four more years. McCain may be a good man, but the country is in dire straits now and over the next few years. Have to go with what makes sense, and that is Obama.

Anti-AARP   October 1st, 2008 4:25 pm ET

I keep hearing from McCain supporters about Obama's lack of experience being an issue. The reality is the presidency is more about judgment and the ability to adapt to difficult situations than experience. Let's look at McCain's record. In all of those years of experience, outside of traveling to various war-torn countries, what has he really done? He would make an excellent secretary of state but frankly he hasn't seemed to express a real lasting interest in anything here at home (aside from his 13 cars and 8+ homes). Then let's turn to judgment; which person voted for a war that didn't make sense at the time and makes even less sense today? Time and again, we hear from Mr. McCain how we "can't lose the war". My question is two fold, (1) if we shouldn't have been there to begin with, why are we there now and (2) what does victory actually mean? McCain simply can't answer these questions and lacked the judgment to make the right call in the first place. Experience did a lot here, didn't it. Obama-Biden in 2008!

Palin is an insult to all women. Does she think we are dumb, that we don't know those cheap tricks she tries to play to sway men over to her side. She can't even name one newspaper she has read and she want to hold the 2nd and maybe the 1st highest office in America. Women, please, we will have our chance, but not with Palin, if you elect her you will set this country back for women for 20 years, because people will look back and say, we let the women have their say and look what they put in office, never again!!! Right now we have "have a beer with George" and Six Pack Palin. One in the same. Two unintelligent people

Jayne ain't no girl   October 1st, 2008 4:24 pm ET

The trends should continue towards Obama, as long as we can stay on the issues.

McCain will try to divert us to some stupid social issue as soon as he possibly can, but I think the country has had enough.

If you are happy with the way things are going, if you are happy with the way things are, if you think that we are on the right track, then by all means, vote for McCain.

If you are not happy with the way things are going and you honestly believe that we need to go in a different direction, in this country, then you cannot put the same party in power.

It really is that simple.

In Ohio and Florida he took a 3-6 point lead and is now losing by 8 points. He has no idea what he's doing politically he needs to get back on the campaign trail instead of waiting around hoping for something bad to happen to Obama.

Rich, jets, outrageously extravagant clothes, a former drug addict, stole from her charity, looks like she's suffering from anorexia, and now is apparently auctioning off the family estate – the 13 bedroom family estate. Why are they selling the house? Trying to reduce the number from 8 to 7? The estate could count as about 6 average homes in the US….

It doesn’t matter. Barack ain’t gettin’ 270 EV come Nov. It’s all about the Electoral College, stupid. Leave it to the democrats to snatch defeat! from the jaws of victory! for the third time in a row. (00′, 04′, 08′). When will they (finally) learn? Hopefully by 2012. You got 4 yrs, DNC. You’ve! been! warned!.

Joe Regis   October 1st, 2008 4:20 pm ET

McCain has suspended his compaign. Now that he is going down in a hand basket, should he end it?

I think the suspension was a ploy on the part of McCain people to catch the Obama team offguard or to lull them into believing that his compaign is not up to the challenge and then go hard on the attack .

I hope the Obama team will not fall for that trick and will keep pounding until a landslide victory. No more repubs this year.

Obama/Biden 08/12.

Margi   October 1st, 2008 4:20 pm ET

There will dancing in the streets on election day!

Ohio for Obama/Biden 08′

Shari, NY   October 1st, 2008 4:19 pm ET

Pocholo: The same could be said about Obama supporters. By the way, this "Country First" slogan is a slap in the face to those countries who Bush coerced into joining in the illegal war, thus losing their own sons of the soil. God first!

Bob Indianapolis IN   October 1st, 2008 4:19 pm ET

November 4th will mark the Death of Fascism in America!

gl   October 1st, 2008 4:19 pm ET

Thank God, but lets keep our focus up until this election is over. We all know that McSane is going to pull some crazy trick. What scares me is that we don't know what nutting thing McSane will put out of this rabbit hat next.

States that were solid red this morning are only leaning in McCains favor now. It dosn't look good for McCain camp with only 34 more days left. Anything can happen I guess but us Obama supporters have been mobilized for months!

N.S of Huntsville, Al   October 1st, 2008 4:18 pm ET

I don't like polls, and don't want Obama or the campaign camp to get relaxed. Just keep registering new voters the more the better.

STAYFOCUSED OBAMA!

Constance   October 1st, 2008 4:18 pm ET

Tom in CA   October 1st, 2008 4:16 pm ET

The American voter sees Palin for what she is! A 'Post Turtle'.

I suspect that most of you don't know what a "Post Turtle" is, so I'll help you out….When you're driving down a country road you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a 'Post Turtle'.

Come on…you know she didn't get up there by herself, she don't belong up there, she don't know what to do while she's up there, and you just wonder what kind of dummy put her up there to begin with.

FreeNLovIt   October 1st, 2008 4:16 pm ET

McCain will serve the few, the proud, the LOBBYISTS. He's sworn his allegiance to the top 1%.

When someone cant preach to your needs, they'll never be able to reach out to policies that will help you.

Again, an ELEPHANT is an elephant. He'll want his PEANUTS and ocean of water to bathe in, with his friends.

It's time for a DONKEY..

Maggie   October 1st, 2008 4:16 pm ET

I wish they'd get rid of the electoral college. The reasons it was created don't exist anymore, and we should elect a president based on the popular vote. I really don't care which states' electors is going for whom. I want a popular voted-in president.

Greg   October 1st, 2008 4:16 pm ET

Good news, but be careful. 34 days is a long time in politics to make a mistake.

Sarah.....and my last name isn't Palin!   October 1st, 2008 4:15 pm ET

You need to move Colorado into lean Obama and Indiana and North Carolina into Toss up.

the other jd   October 1st, 2008 4:15 pm ET

Only one electoral map will matter…the one showing at the end of the day on 11/4.

Obama and Biden supporters! Regardless of these numbers or how Sarah P does at the debate, call up your local Barack Obama office and get involved. If you can afford it go to his website and give money to the campaign.

Let's get 'er done!!!

Triggidy   October 1st, 2008 4:15 pm ET

Let's do the right thing Missouri. Shake off these Republicans for the Show-Me State!

Pol   October 1st, 2008 4:15 pm ET

The weak and shameful republican ticket shows a level of degradation of this party. Desperate and disgusting attemts to save election (including ads and Sara Pailin choice) do not help. The game is over as in the Clinton's case but media needs to present the race close to keep our interest. Be prepare for a new Preesident of the United States – Barack Obama.

bobbi   October 1st, 2008 4:14 pm ET

obama has intergrity, he's what our country needs.

Jenny   October 1st, 2008 4:14 pm ET

Media likes spin!!!

CNN never tells us the truth!

Dr. Proctor, PHD   October 1st, 2008 4:14 pm ET

Even if Senator Obama loses(not likely), I will not blame it on race,
because I am so proud of the way that whites and blacks and all races
have rallied for the good of the country. I have not seen this type of
unity in all of my years. And it feels good. I am so proud of Americans of this generation. Let's make this a reality by actually voting in record numbers. God bless Senator Obama and the country.

Yes We Can!!!! Democrats 08.

Silence Dogood   October 1st, 2008 4:13 pm ET

The winner is clear when the game is rigged.

Tired of being told what to do by the corporate two party system?

Vote Green Party. At least educate yourself and read the web site.

Bruce   October 1st, 2008 4:10 pm ET

the only poll that counts is the one on 11/4
make sure you get out and vote, and if the lines are long wait…every vote is important.

Kevin   October 1st, 2008 4:09 pm ET

I'm voting early this Saturday for Obama (in Ohio). My mind was already made up in 2004 after Obama spoke at the convention. I see him as very intelligent and his heart is in the right place. This nation needs to heal the divisions that started in 2000.

Hey don't put Ohio is a toss up. Ohio is sold for McCain. And rightly so. McCain will ensure we get a tax cut and he will balance the budget. He will bring the troops home from Iraq with honor while securing that oil rich country thus preventing Iran from taking control of it.

Obama is risky and he will give a speech but I don't trust him or his wife. Isn't his wife a piece of work?

McCain will take action while Obama will give a speech. You decide.

katiec   October 1st, 2008 4:08 pm ET

Am happy to see the American voters realizing who
can best lead our country.
Mccain/palin's lies, distortions and attacks are catching
up with them and people are tired of the dirty politics.
And the republican leadership.

Will from NYC   October 1st, 2008 4:08 pm ET

Obama supporters do not become complacent. Make sure you and every Obama supporter you know shows up to vote.

Diebold is still out there. Vote paper if you can.

New Day   October 1st, 2008 4:08 pm ET

Cool… I guess this is a feel-good story for all that back Obama. However, a poll result and 4 quarters is still worth a dollar.
