Obama is campaigning in Michigan.

(CNN) – Barack Obama held a campaign rally in East Lansing, Michigan earlier Thursday, his second campaign stop in the key state today.

"We are in a financial crisis as serious as any we’ve faced since the Great Depression. In recent weeks, we’ve seen our financial landscape shift before our eyes," Obama said in remarks that were nearly identical to those he made in Grand Rapids earlier in the day.

CNN's Mike Roselli reports Obama did not answer questions over reports John McCain's campaign is pulling its resources out of that key battlegroun state.

UPDATE: Responding to Obama's Michigan event, RNC spokeswoman Amber Wilkerson said, "After voting at least 94 times for higher taxes – including votes to increase taxes for those Americans making only $42,000 a year – it’s clear that Barack Obama does not get the economic struggles facing middle class families and small businesses across the nation."
