McCain needs to look up the definition of a FACT. It is not a fact that she will do "fine" tonight. Pre-blaming the moderator is comical though, considering that the book hasn't even come out yet and noone knows whats in there. Kind of like reviewing a movie without actually seeing it.

Oh I think she will do fine also. One thing you can say about Sarah Palin is she learned her "never a direct answer" lesson from her time spent chasing a pagent crown. I'm sure her performance will be a great study in how to answer a quesiton without giving an answer.

I used to be a supporter of McCain and have decided to vote for Obama as i strongly belive that McCain / Palin ticket will do more damage to US than Bush-Cheney has.

McCain campaign is behaving like a kid. It sounds like McCain has found Barbie (Palin) that they are not letting out of the closet thinking that some other kid will steal her.

There is a video clip at CBS showing Couric asking Biden and Palin EXACTLY the same questions about the Roe v. Wade and the Supreme Court.
Biden's answers were precise and coherent – Palin's were just m ore blather.

I can't believe the whining coming out of the McCain campaign about Ifill.

They knew she was writing this book at least two weeks before they agreed to have her as a moderator. At least they should have since it was common knowledge. But maybe the same person vetted Ifill as vetted Palin. We know how well that went, don't we?

But the excuses and whining are for one reason only. They're giving themselves an escape clause should Palin prove to be an unmitigated disaster.

I'm tired of hearing that this election is about the presidential candidates, not the vice-presidential candidates. That may have been true in the past – before the Palin factor. She has to be considered as a possible president – she's running with history's oldest presidential candidate who has had pervious health issues. This woman can't name a Supreme Court case other than Roe v. Wade; can't name one newspaper she supposedly reads; can't define the "Bush Doctrine." And those are just for starters. Someone needs to explain why McCain can't utter two sentences without bashing Obama and Biden. He seldom presents his own case without doing this. I understand trying to draw the contrast, but he misrepresents the Dems at every turn.
