Schneider: Palin's strengths

ST LOUIS, Missouri (CNN) - Palin's primary strength is her outside of Washington status. She doesn't act like an insider, she doesn't talk like an insider, and a lot of voters may respond to that.

Um. She talks like a robot. What about Joe Biden makes him 'outside' the norm? He was a single dad raising a family.

Palin's a robot, period. She didn't 'come out strong', she just managed to remember her talkng points this time.

Palin was put through "Debate Bootcamp" at the McCain residency in Arizona. She seemed like she was not real in the debate. Just my views.

Wow. I'm really impressed here with the "objective" analysis of this main stream media source. I give degrees like those Bill Schneider holds, and I teach courses on the media and politics. I have *never* seen such a biased stream of material from previously respected national news sources. CNN clearly is feeling the competition from Fox News to become the anti-Fox. Partisan comments of course are expected from those leaving comments, but from you, Bill? Shame on you.

(Tried to post this on an item about coherent answers, and they are already trying to block comments. Nice.)

But she will not be the President...

It's a trick...she is being used by McCain...He holds the card...with a heartbeat away ticket then she would become President...

And I don't think she is yet ready to be VP or President of the US...

she may not act like a washington insider but her strenghts may not do her anygood with voters because it seems many of us are still trying to make sense of her portion of the debates. I don't feel as if anything was accomplished and am quite scare of the idea of either one of these two stepping inas president for any reason, biden has more knowlegde but

Outside of Washington is swell. But until a month ago, we outside of Alaska had never heard of Palin at all. That's...just a wee bit too outside, sorry to say.
