who's the one to blame x this crisis, the one that always say that our economy was strong , when the average person was talking about the stress to get food on the table, is the same one that now is filling up the pork with our money.

  7. Ok please...

Are you upset with the bailout?

Vote for Bob Barr in November.

Do you like the bailout and side with Obama, McCain, Bush, Pelosi, ....?

Then vote for the same McBama in November. Really, just throw away your vote on these two. I wonder how fast they'll spend this money. We had a bailout of what $200B just a few months ago? Now this, and soon more. But, that's ok, this is America and if you like that keep voting for it. And while you're at it, both will raise your taxes, expand government programs and throw the deficit to 1/2 Trillion dollars next year.

  8. wahhhh.....

So, clinton couldn't do any thing because of the Republicans, and Bush can't do things because of the democrats.

Sounds like these two parties should be REMOVED.

@ Laura Kraemer: Another clueless Republican who either can’t read, doesn’t understand what you read, or just can’t admit that Republicans are wrong.

Obama is more qualified than McCain and Palin combined just based on shear knowledge alone. And when you add Biden, it’s a no brainer. Just admit it to your self you are a bigot and get it over with.

Obama’s Healthcare plan is no where near socialized medicine. I work in healthcare I know and I have read his plan, have you? Uninformed as usual.

I guess you want us to stay in Iraq forever even tough the Generals on the ground, the Iraqi government and people and even the Bush administration are talking about a phased withdrawal, finally.

And finally you MORON!! He is not Muslim and he is of African descent. Typical illiterate Republican Bigot.

Wasn't it John McCain who wanted to end pork-barrel spending in Washington? And that he wouldn't accept any earmarks? John McCain is an overcooked ham, oink oink!

Laura Kraemer..oh what can I say. First of all get your facts right. Obama is NOT muslim. Second of all you need to know that Muslims are not only middle-eastern which by the way Obama does not have anything to do with. There are muslims in Africa, Europe, heck the person sitting next to you may be a Mulsim, but Bush brainwashed you so bad made you believe that every Muslim is a middle-eastern terrorist. How sad, but go ahead choose McCain/Palin you just might be begging muslim countries such as middle-east to take you in because America will shatter to peaces because of people like you :-)

ANGRY, ANGRY, AND ANGRY at both parties for this Pork loaded bill. I would rather of not had any bill than to give my money to Rum, Wooden Arrows, movies, etc. What has this country come to where everyone is afraid of not being reelected and to save their own skin than to be honest with the public.

    The Vampire Bill....
It sucks the taxpayer dry. the only difference between it and a Vampire is that this bill had a wooden stake (arrows) in it (page300) and it still didn't die...

Amazing how the Republicans went with the bill. Of course, as an economist, I think that the bill was bad to begin with, and that it got worse. Both Dems and Republicans screwed this one up. The market still dropped.

We live in a "demand" economy, not a supply economicy as Reagan stated and has been followed by the Republicans. Demand for products will increase jobs and companies will have to hire (hopefully US citizens) to do the work; increased demand and an increase in the labor force will mean more money in the hands of the citizens to spend as they please. The supply side is determined by the demand side. The more demand there will be an increase in product to meet the demand. The law of supply and demand will find a suitable price level agreeable to both consumers and manfactures. Remember, Wall Street does NOT produce goods and services, rather it is an instrument for investment purposes in companies that will produce products for consumption. FDR got the economy going again during the Great Depression by getting his administration to get jobs created to get the unemployed off the welfare roles and into some kind of production including the TVA, CCC, etc.
