Biden is such a Washington insider that he said we spent more in Iraq that we did in Afghanistan in seven years. I guess he should know since he voted for the War in Iraq and he voted for all these expenses. I don't think biden is for change . see his record.

next let's talk Obama who disses our troops by saying they are out there somewhere killing innocents. I am very sorry to hear him say that. He is not qualified to be the CIC. or hold the office of POTUS.

He called mid westerners bitter and called women pigs. I am shocked he has any support but let's face it 95% of the blacks are supporting him since he is black.

Obama is risky and scary. McCain will protect our country and our values.

McCain's tax credit of $5000 for health care policies goes no where.
Most people will need a Major Medical health plan, just to cover the unexpected. Most plans require a deductible that can run anywhere from $250-$10,000 PER occurance, per person, per year. Employer/employee health plans are the least expensive, premimum wise, with the employer paying most of the premium. If you leave an employer for any reason you will have COBRA which will allow you to now pay 102-105% of what you paid as an employee, per month.

If you qualify for a major medical plan on your own, depending on if there are pre-existing conditions (which could exclude you or a family member) your deductible could run anywhere from $500-10,000 per person, per year, per occurance depending on the company and the plan. Most people will usually choose mid-range deductible in order to keep the premium affordable. If you have to use your plan for a major operation it can run well over $50,000 just for the hospital alone, not including surgeons, etc.

With, say, a $1000 deductible, and an 80-20 plan, the surgery alone costs $30,000 (and that is quite inexpensive), you pay the $1000 deductible, the insurance will pay 80% of $29,000 or $23,200. You own the balance of $5,800, not to mention all the other costs incurred during your stay in the hospital. If you have another family member who also has to have some type of surgery and the cost is around the same amount, then you have incurred OUT OF POCKET expenses of at least $13,600. Where does that credit help you out? Remember also, that the premium can be considered part of the medical bill. A family of 4 could easily have an insurance premium of $500 per month which is $6000. McCain doesn't pay that at all.

To all the ditto heads screaming Obama will introduce the United States to socialism. Since republicans appear to have a difficult time with both facts and how to obtain them, and ditto heads seem partial to having decisions spoon fed to the them in small easy to remember sound bites, much like a baby eating his or her daily morning pabulum, therefore I have done the research for you..

“Social democrats propose selective nationalization of key national industries in mixed economies combined with tax-funded welfare programs”.

As a result, under the last 8 years of republican control in the White House now and control of Congress since 1996 until 2007 the U.S. government now owns an insurance company, two main home financing companies and very soon will own investment and banking firms both national and international in what used to be the private sector and owned by stockholders..

Some state that the Democrats could have stopped this fiasco, but not so, this fiasco is the result of the deregulation of Wall Street for the last 15 years. The Leach-Gramm bill was introduced by Phil Gramm in 1999, you may remember him, he is the idiot that stated our current financial problems are all in “our minds” and we were a “nation of whiners”. Yes, Clinton did sign the bill in 2000, however, there was a republican majority in both Houses of Congress and could have overridden a veto. Oh, by the way, Gramm is responsible for McCrypt’s current economic policies as well.

Yes, Democrats have been the majority in both Houses since 1/2007, however, only by 1 vote in the Senate, which is not large enough to override a Senate filibuster by republicans. For example, when the Democrats tried to extend unemployment benefits an additional 13 weeks and The Moron said he would veto it, and the Senate republicans marching in lockstep with HRH threatened to kill it by filibuster. The increasing number of unemployed that will suffer now, without the extension, should make all republicans proud! Think of the money you saved!

So, nice try, but this socialistic problem lies squarely on the shoulders of all you republicans and anyone that voted for Mr. Moron. The bill, Emergency Economic Stablization Act(EESA) that will introduce us to socialism is now in Congress and was introduced by republicans under President George W. Bush dated 09/2008.

So, to recap:

President Obama will INHERIT an economy that is ALREADY a democratic socialist economy that was set up by republicans as a welfare program to bail out the fat cats on Wall Street!

John McCain is part of the American greed. He has 8 homes and owns a 13 bedroom home that is now up for sale, that's right, for sale and not because he's being evicted. This home also shelters his 13 foreign cars. If that's not greed I don't know what you call McCain.

I work in Dallas, TX and down stairs in my office building I overheard a white and a black woman talking about the debate. All I heard was "This isn't for Alaska! This is for the vice presidency! This woman is ignorant and does not speak for me." True story. I didn't speak with them but kept walking with a smile on my face. If Texas isn't liking her, then that tells you a lot.

Not really on topic but no where else can i response to the bail out mess. Too bad there is not a real contender for a 3rd party candidate.

It really is time for us to start looking at alternatives to this 2 party system. We the people are getting the short end of the stick every time while the rich and super rich get what ever they want.

This bail out really sucks.

So your Congress just cheated on you the voter. And like in an abusive relationship, they'll say nice things and we'll come back for more...

Obama and Biden distort the truth, if they had their way we would be pushed into a depression. Obama plans are not his own.......he speaks what he is told, his actions show little/no experience. Obama as president would be a disaster for the country, his past speaks volumes for this.

Fact: Obama is right, McBush is wrong. Fact: Although Gov. Palin did remarkably well in the debate last night---surprisingly well, I might add---she is in no way, shape, form or fashion ready to be the next commander-in-chief, if that need would arise. I know nothing about her policies since I am so far away from AK, but this "mavercick" nonsense is laughable. McBush is nowhere near the "maverick" he professes to be, unless your talking about Brett Maverick. Obama '08.

This year congress directly went against the majority of American's interests. Having been confronted with Democrats AND Republicans both siding against the wishes of voters, a large number of voters are shifting to the largest third party, the Libertarian Party.

Candidate Bob Barr is experiencing a groundswell of support after the two major parties voted against their constituencies while Barr has been steady in his opposition to a government bailout.

It doesn't matter. All that matters is that McCain and the Republicans don't care so much about the average person out there.

Okay, fair enough. The fact still is that while Americans have been working hard, trying to make ends meet, the top 1% of the wealthiest in our country have benefitted from a huge tax cut.

And while Big Oil has had RECORD PROFITS on the backs of hard-working-Americans, McCain will continue to give them $4 Billion is additional tax breaks.

Can't wait to get my $ 5000.00 tax credit, so I can pay for my taxed insurance benefits under the McCain plan.

McCain: "Me First"

But in reality, McSame's healthcare plan is more of the same large corporations running health care with small tax breaks for the poor. The rest of America should, as Bush/McSame has said: "Get a job."

Maybe I could be an investigator to find out how many homes the elder statesman from Arizona has?
