(CNN) - The McCain-Palin campaign released Sarah and Todd Palin's 2006 and 2007 tax returns Friday afternoon. The campaign says the Palins paid $36,682 in federal taxes for those years, and contributed $8,205 to charity. The campaign also released a financial disclosure report for Todd Palin.

Which charities exactly did they give to? Why only 2 years worth of released tax returns? It would respectful to match the other VP. American public deserves to compare candidate's tax returns.

Per diem payments aren't normally counted as income, and don't seem to show up on their tax returns. That doesn't make accepting per diem for time spent at home ethical, but it doesn't count as income. Of course, it's normal for per diem to be an actual expense, but that doesn't bother Palin.
if you're Obama, speaking the truth is "reckless," but if you're Palin, embezzlement from the state of Alaska isn't so much a problem.
How can Todd have $500,000 in fishing equipment when he reports 42,000 a year in wages from BP Oil?
Wait, the governor of Alaska got a $30,000 raise from 2007 to 2008?
They claimed in their joint filing $167,000 in income and then list the salary on their 2007-2008 disclosure statement at $197,000?
And she claims to be a mainstreeter? I don't think so...

Correct me is I am wrong on this but didn't Sarah say last night during the debt that people are working and they have jobs, that there is nothing wrong with our job market? I remember telling my family that Sarah must have missed the unemployment statement that came out.
Biden and his wife submitted the last 10 years of their tax returns over a month ago. Why is Palin only giving out the last 2 years?
You can tell that Biden is a man of great honor, integrity, intelligence and has a tremendous commitment to serve this country. I was completely sold after the debate. It was refreshing to finally see more of him!

altho I am a republican sarah palin lost mt vote for that ticket in the debate when she talked about being a soccer mom and what she would do for education..in wasile alaska when she was mayor under her they built a soccer stadium that ended up partly on some one elses land causing the people of that town to go deeply in debt- – - but in that town under her she did not address the education system.. less than50% of the young people go past the 10th grade.. it really scares me to think she is a heartbeat away from the presidency!!!.she has made so many false statements that what she had to say at the debate really resonated with me..
I don't care what she releases. She ought to release the American people from her ignorance. I cannot stand this woman. She is self-righteous, arrogant and condescending. It was SO apparent that she was trying to recite memorized lines last night that it was actually pathetic. She couldn't answer any questions. What really got me was that she bought her infant son out at the end of the debate. I was thinking- what mother would have an infant out in a crowd of people at this time. He should have been in his crib asleep. But, when you are behind and pandering for votes, anything goes. This time, I am just saying NO! Enough is enough.
