(CNN) - The McCain-Palin campaign released Sarah and Todd Palin's 2006 and 2007 tax returns Friday afternoon. The campaign says the Palins paid $36,682 in federal taxes for those years, and contributed $8,205 to charity. The campaign also released a financial disclosure report for Todd Palin.

I don't believe there taxes for one bit... Why only two years?
When the Republican Party advises her to provide the returns with a clue card, then she will provide the tax returns.
Cheryl...what are you whining about? What indepth reporting have you heard about Keating 5? Half of today's electorate couldn't tell you what that investigation was all about. I'd bet John McNasty could tell us all about...though I doubt he would.

Palin did far better than I expected, however if she wasn't comfortable answering a question she would twist an answer to something she had been prompted for. I have been a Biden fan for years because he just tells it like it is as he did last night.
She apparently believes she is above the law– can the American people only count to 2? The Alaska court did not shut down the state inquiry despite heavy pressure from Republicans. I wonder what else she has tucked away under her bouffant hairdo. She is running for VP, not Miss Congeniality.
Why does it matter to any of you that you can't see her tax returns? Where are your tax returns JUSTIN ROOD and MARCUS BARAM. Are you looking to get back at someone who asked for the Clinton's tax returns and now think "Yeah, now we'll get them." Try reporting on things that our great country really need to know about like why our economy is failing, why the oil companies are fleecing us to death and why no one, seems interested in bringing our men and women home from these wars.

Why only 2 years? What are they hiding? Shouldn't they release all income tax returns for at least the last 10 years? This refusal to release information only generates more questions than answers. As an independent voter, if Palin won't grant access to even routine information I have real choice but to vote for Obama.
A real "maverick" would release ALL income tax returns.

I want to know how Todd runs 2 businesses (fishing and snowmobiling?) and makes nearly half of their gross income. Just HOW much does the GV of Alaska make? I think there is some unaccounted for revenue stream somewhere. And if they only make that much a year how can they have so much in the Stock Market that they lost $20,000 the day it fell almost 900 points. hmmm. is she really an expert??? she took on BP and ConocoPhillips by giving the alaska pipeline project to transcanada...good on her...BUT GUESS WHAT? BP and ConocoPhillips operate the gas fields that would feed that pipeline. they are so ticked off, they are now planning another pipeline.....they dont need Alaska's approval....just the FERC's (federal energy regulary commission) approval.
here's the best part.....if transcanada's pipeline fails, they have to be re-imbursed 3 times...YES 3 TIMES what they have invested...and where is she going to get the money from....me and you.

Hagel"s comments say it all.It doesn"t matter if PALEN is guilty or not in Troopergate or if she shares her tax returns. She just isn"t qualified to be President, and that"s what she could become. It is S-T-U-P-I-D to suggest that seeing Alaska from your state gives you foriegn policy experience. Yet, this was first heard on FOX News, then repeated by Cindy McCAIN, Then repeated by Sarah Palen, then repeated by the McCAIN Campaign Manager, the repeated by McCAIN and then repeated at least a dozen more times by PALEN. So, I say we don"t vote for the PALEN/McCAIN ticket and then "Troopergate" is Alaska"s problem, not ours. Listen to Republican Senator Chuck Hagel when he says "it is a huge stretch to say that Ms. Palen could become Cammander and Chief". And that is what she could become. Oh, and before someone says it, this is NOT about PALEN being a woman. There are many qualified women in both the GOP and The Democratic Party, PALEN just isn"t one of them.

Obama has already addressed such issues during the democratic race. Repugs didn't see this because they weren't paying attention to the democratic primaries. So if it would help sway votes Obamas way then yes please CNN replay the stories.
