McCain's policies and agenda which parallels Dubya's is the cause of job losses in America.

Hand the presidency over to McPalin and we will experience much greater economic disaster in our nation.

$700 Billion $$ BAIL OUT (not rescue plan)
Absolutely will not work past a short term fix. Because, Americans keep losing job ...month after month after month.
So, you giving $700 billion to Wall Street to "Free up credit market"

I for one will not be rushing out to get a loan in this market.

When this does not work....DON'T you government elitist even dare concider taking more of our $$ to save your buddies on Wall Street......If you do you risk a flat out rebelion by the people!

You have been robbing us for far too long!

John you cannot run with the hope of winning, on a sinking GOP Bush policy ship! Try as hard as you might, you still voted 95% of the time with Bush, and look where it's gotten this country! People that are still considering voting for you are either clueless, or still hung up on the color of Obama. And those folks better hope that Jesus doesn't come with color. All indications are that he is dark skinned!

It makes me sad to see how many people thing Palin actually did well. We are SMART America!! This is not a game, this is not a popularity or Beauty contest - this is the PRESIDENCY. Speaking as a woman - she is NOT who I want representing history for my gender -it will be humiliating. Obama and Biden are the only serious vote we have!

Obama voted "Present" 130 times when he was in Illinois Senate. He voted to increase taxes over 90 times and 97% he voted for his party. Vote for him is vote for a bridge to NO WHERE!
Do we need another idiot in the White House? Americans are not stupid!

I wonder how many more jobs will be lost due to Harry Reid's soundbite which distroyed over $ 100 B in market value of the nation's insurance companies.

Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Cris Dodd, Charlie Rangel, Chuck Schumer and their ilk are the ones that should be unemployed.

The sadest moment of the debate was when Palin's baby was brought out front. I had a cousin with Down syndrome and his parents devoted their life to him. This child is hauled around like a sack of potatoes and handed over to the little girl after a few pats from his mom. Keep him at home and take care of him as he should be,don't use him as a political ploy.

To: The Nightingale Sings in Berkley Square, and RJ in CA, I personally think you two are some complete idiots. I can not tell or recommend to you who you should vote for, but in my opinion, I don't think John McCain and Sarah Palin are right for this country. I know what it feels like not to have much and to struggle, and I don't think those two can relate to the general americans and their everyday lives. Times are hard right now, and those with money and power, do not understand what Barack Obama nad Joe Biden is trying to do for us. He wants to help us, and I don't believe that John McLAME and Sarah FAILIN understand what it's like in the REAL WORLD. Sarah could not answer any questions last night, she only said enough to "get by." That's not fair. And some of acutally think she is qualified to run this country. Shame on you. They will only make things worse.
OBAMA/BIDEN '08!

Winking and "shout-outs"? Really? Was this a VP debate or student council?

Palin reminds me of the vaguely attractive girls in high school that can't win on points, so they try to flirt with the judges.

Obama and Biden will do their best to put this company back on the rigtht track.

McCain and Plain will not. Just because it looks good on the outside doesn't mean it's good on the inside.

All that cute talk, silly stories that they spew mean nothing to me. I don't want a story teller in the White House but a President that leads.

It's funny, on nearly every issue, all Obama can do is talk about the past 8 years instead of talking about what he would do over the next 4 years, that is, if he is so lucky to steal the election using the black vote to push him over. If you read the blogs and watch the news, Obama is pushing the registration of "new black" voters instead of just "new" voters. If that's not playing the race card I don't know what is. And for those of you who don't know, Obama was not elected to the IL state senate. He got the position after disqualifying his opponents on technicalities. Guess he was afraid that he couldn't win otherwise.

Watching the vice presidental debate last night was fun, it was an eye opener, { Paline did in fact repair her reputation somewhat, although she was at space camp with Mccain for the last week, so i didnt buy it. She gave a shout out, which means that since she has opened her lipstick trap she has used a life line, called a friend, and now did a shout out. So she needs to be left at the curb. Those are the rules..lol Obama had my vote after his debate, and will in fact keep my vote.

So whats McCain's plan to create jobs? I haven't heard one yet. His plan is more of the same laissez-faire attidude that the markets will take care of everything. Well, the markets are dead and its time for bold leadership. Obama is that leadership.

Just yesterday a company laid off 88 employees and looking to layoff more. McCain have no idea what it is like to wonder about a job, food, healthcare, children etc. He is out of touch.

By the way what is Sara Palin's IQ?

"ME" WROTE - Sarah Palin proved.......WHAT? I know you you and alot of other Repub's think she's cute but guess what, she would be walked all over by everyone. This isn't a beauty contest. You and other Repub's look at her and melt.....true Democrats look at her and cringe. We understand like OBAMA/BIDEN what's going on in America. If you have 8 houses and 13 cars, boats, lots of acre's of land and getaway homes, YOU ARE OUT OF TOUCH WITH US "NORMAL" POCKETBOOK ISSUE VOTERS!. Get a life and get over it. McSame doesn't get it and Sarah Palin doesn't know exactly what she's needs to get.

To RJ, CA - in reference to your comments - "McCain, Biden, Palin are great Americans who make me feel proud of my country."

"Obama is nothing but a self-serving autobiographer and a lying, cheating, corrupt Chicago politician!"

What election are YOU following?!?!?

McCain has said the "economy is strong" and Palin has proven that she can't handle the pressure of a soft spoken journalist like Katie Couric without ending up on SNL - twice!!!!! What more do you need?!?

Let's be real, given all the facts and you STILL support McCain only shows that you are a closet racist and care more about your backwards way of thinking than what's best for this country....and that's clearly the leadersip/judgement of Obama and Biden.

DEAL WITH IT.

Gov. Palin should have just given a speech for what she did last night. She did not answer many of the questions that "inquiring minds" wanted to know. Is this how she plans to run America? This "screw you- I'm gonna do what I want to do" attitude is not something we need more of. We really need a President/VP who will take time to listen to our needs/concerns, think about a resonable solution and respond appropriately. If I ask you for a cup of water, would you give me vinegar, just because that is what you want to give me. This is what Palin did last night. We asked her one thing and she did not attempt to answer/address the concern of the people she only gave us what she had already rehearsed.

It's amazing that McCain says NOTHING about how he wants to actually get jobs back into the USA.. he just talks about reforming government, and the usual BS from his commercials.

Hello? Maybe I can't see the full picture but how does health care reform create jobs?

We have a failure to communicate !!! We have lost 159k jobs in a month, we have an incompetent VP. She has the audacity to speak on education last night utilizing double negatives, gonna, kinda and gosh darn it. This lollipop politician has created a road to nowhere that cost millions of dollars to make. Join Mccain-Palin for the absolutely road to nowhere. Repubs claim small businesses will suffer because 250k+ business owners will have larger tax liabilities, what happens if the small biz doesn't have clients or business? They will enhance the jobless rate and bankruptcies #s ...Mcpain will not do anything to boost this economy

The clear difference between the reactions of increasing job losses by the two candidates is clear.

John McCain states that he will do this and do that. To mean those are empty promises.

Barack Obama tells us what he will do and how he will do it. That illustrates a clear plan to make needed changes.

Go back and reread the two reactions. You'll see what I mean.

If you're satisfied with Bush/Cheney than you'll certainly be happy with McCain/Palin.

Biden wons hands down....PEOPLE ARE SAYING HOW GOOD PALIN DID, WELL IN ACTUALITY SHE WAS HORRIBLE. SHE SEEMED LIKE SHE WAS READING PROMPTER BECAUSE SHE MEMORIZED WHAT SHE WAS GOING TO SAY ALREADY. SHE DIDN'T ANSWER THE QUESTION...ITS NOT MUCH OF A DEBATE WHEN YOU DON'T ANSWER THE QUESTION AND YOU HAVE NO CLUE ON THE ISSUES. Do we really want Palin to be our VP to be 1 heartbeat away from the Presidency of the US. I'm sorry but if that was to happen, our country is down the dumps....Did anybody understand where Palin stands on any of the issues?

I thought that the debate was a contrast in two styles. Biden got an A- where as Palin got a B- (for not stumbling). She would have gotten a B+ if she showed how she would be a Maverick to get things done.

Biden stayed on track and was in command of the issues. Palin attacked and attacked over and over again to the point when there were lulls sounded whiny.

She never spoke on the issues except on a couple of occasions.

It's too late and they will eventually have her doing normal interviews once again and her stock will lapse once again.

I am still having problems with understanding how a Maverick is going to change the way congress works. Is he going to suspend those branches of government? How has McCain reached across to democrats with Lieberman being the only so called democrat he is reaching out too. Tell me how Mavericks are supposed to work in government to get things done. I am not seeing it in the McCain/Pail campaign.

Too little, way too late.

@nightingale

Sarah Palin spoke about nonsense like Hockey mom, pitbull, Maverick etc.
Biden spoke emotionally for 12 seconds about a personal tragedy in his life , where he lost his spouse and his almost lost his children.
Guy the guy a break. U are really sick in the mind if you are unable to realise

Charlotte October 3rd, 2008 9:50 am ET

Obama and Biden are always looking back. I don't want a Monday morning quarterback as President. Hindsight is always 20/20…
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh brother, you actually bought that stupid line Failin Palin spouted last night trying to show she's capable of standing up strong? You're even more weakminded than I thought you were Charlotte. Get the pain and suffering about Hillary's loss out of your heart and embrace OBAMA. :-)

Who ever thinks that the Bail Out plan is taking real money out of anyones pocket is really a REPUBLICAN that would vote for PALIN.

The bail out is really a LOAN and it will not be deducted out of your pay check. It is the only way to get the country out of the hole that the REPUBLICANS DUG for every hard working person in the country.

Obama has said it over and over he does not like the fact we have to do this. But just like medicine even if you do not like the taste you MUST TAKE IT TO GET BETTER!!

Hard times are ahead and it takes true leaders with real ideas to move forward. One reason Obama and Diden look back so often as pointed out by Palin is to avoid making the same mistakes the REPUBLICANS HAVE BEEN MAKING.

The loss of so many jobs should be an eye opener to many republicans but it seems that either their eyes are closed or brain fogged up to see what is happening.

If people are truly honest with themselves they would be saying I cannot live like this for another four years.

So just like Palin claims she said thanks but no thanks that is what the American people need to be saying to the republics 'thanks but no thanks we have had enough of failed policies and promises' it is time for 'yes we can - cause together with the Democrats in power together we can bring American back to the country that has been the envy of so many.

It is time for a change, it is time for something different, better. Can those who are McCain can they truly say with a clear conscious and thoughts that they are not afraid or they don't mind not having a job to go to or a house to live in or enough money to feed their children cause that is what they are going to have if we encourage a republican win in this election

Hey Berkely Square! Take a long walk off of a short dock. Totally uncalled for comment. I now understand why some animals eat their young. Some of you Republicans (like some Democrates I know) would vote for your party if a convicted fellon was your candidate.
