SEDONA, Ariz. (AP) — Republican presidential candidate John McCain is spending Saturday at a resort hotel in Sedona, Ariz., preparing for his second debate with Democratic nominee Barack Obama.

The Arizona senator plans to stay for the weekend at his family retreat outside Sedona. He took a motorcade to town and is devoting most of the day to preparing responses to possible questions at the debate and polishing his message.

Obama and McCain are scheduled to meet Tuesday at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn., for the second of three debates.

The televised debate moderated by NBC's Tom Brokaw will feature issues raised by audience members and submitted by Internet participants in a town-hall format.

I abhor the way you are running your corrosive campaign. Country First is a shamless phrase considering your tactics and especially your attack dog, Sarah.

I'm 75 years old and my friends and acquaintances want a future for our grandchildren. With your health and age we think running for our president is a very selfish act on your part. You are not the man you were in 2001…please age with more grace.

Katie   October 4th, 2008 5:19 pm ET

Well, as usual CNN followers all love the Democrat. Well, no wonder, the news coming out of CNN is totally biased toward Democrats. This is exactly why Fox news is #1, and that's how the election's gonna go. There is an unbelievable number of Americans that aren't being polled and we're all saying the same thing. McCain will win by a huge margin on election day.

No weapon forged against you [ Sen. Barack Obama ] will prevail, and you [ Sen. Barack Obama ] will refute every tongue that accuses you [ Mrs. Michelle Obama and Sen. Barack Obama ] . This is the heritage of the servants [ Sen. Barack Obama ] of the LORD, and this is their [ Sen. Barack Obama ] vindication from me," declares the LORD. - Isaiah 54:17

At this juncture, the only cancerous growth that should seriously worry McCain is Palin. He should have had it (meaning Sarah) removed when it (she) first gave him trouble (Charles Gibson interview), but now I fear it may be too late and fatal (to his campaign). Start writing the eulogy.

Lynn: 60 yr old white Obama supporter   October 4th, 2008 5:17 pm ET

McCain and his advisors have probably downloaded all of Obama's economic policies from his website so John can reword them to seem like his own as he did with the conditions Obama had for the 700 billion dollar Bailout/rescue bill. McCain has no vision or understanding of the PRESENT and is in over his head.

This man has NOTHING except stories from the past, empty rhetoric about "maverick" change with no policies or positions to back them up and continued lies and smears.

I think you Palin smear machines on this blog are in for a surprise. Sarah is no pushover–about as "dumb" as a fox. Obama/Biden will never see the punch coming.

Raymond Duke   October 4th, 2008 5:15 pm ET

McCain will do just fine . I expect him to win this debate easily as Palin did. Of course no matter how well he does the main liberal media will say he lost as they said Palin did. By the way liberals this was the most watched debate in history. It ought to scare the he@@ out of you. You know that many people did not tune in to hear the third most liberal democrat in the senate. He only got 0.9% vote when he run as president in the democrat primary.

I don't care who you support, all of you need to lay CNN and the comment moderation. They don't do it so they can only show pro-Obama posts, they aren't trying to hold down your startling truths that will shake the foundations of this election. It's just a simple fact that reviewing the millions of comments that comes through this site take some time. This isn't your personal blog so don't expect things to be instant.

ps. You ever think that the reason that there are more Obama posts here is that there is more Obama supporters? The polls would express that to be fact, but of course facts have a noted liberal bias.

Ed   October 4th, 2008 5:10 pm ET

Palin is amazing. She tries to lambast Biden for his 30+ years in Washington, yet stands by McCain who has some 25+ years in the same political arena. Hmmmmm, methinks she is bathing in the waters of hypocracy again. However, if you ask her, I'm probably sure she'd respond that "hypocracy" is another grecian country we need to watch out for like "achilles". Then she'll turn the conversation around to describing her vast "executive" experience up in the good ole state of Alaska. You know how all that experience turned out: crystal meth labs abound, bridge to nowhere, phantom gas pipeline…

Having said that, MOST people…. that is, people from those depicted in "Deliverance" to those people who just don't get it (unable to see the big picture) are those who are on the McCainPalinBuchCheney side*.

The rest of "THE People" have advanced, evolved, become informed, understand what is at stake. These folks are having a hard time making ends meet and some aren't. BUT they DO get it! They will NOT allow "dumb-down", bold-faced lies of the Republican machine to exist any longer!!

Winking & flirtin and drinkin'with the Prez IS NOT going to save this Nation and the world. Intelligence, wisdom, and good morality will. These 3 things are lacking in the GOP.

STOP living beyond your means folks and pray to GOD that Barack Obama WILL deliver a CLEAN, SOLID presidency, which frees us from these horrific times.

In God I trust. In OBAMA & BIDEN I pray for - to LEAD!!!

You see how NovoMcCain and PAIN (no typo-just dropped the "L") have tried begun taking the gloves off. That shows how desperate they are becoming. Trying to tie Obama to a man whose actions occurred when Obama was a child was stupid in the least.

Remember it is the economy, not character.

I can't believe McCain and PAIN think they can save the economy when she could not answer Couric's specific questions.

America will need the change and Obama is the change we need.

This accusation of Obama by Palin is outrageous and the Republicans and Palin should be ashamed. I don't care if this was said about a democrat or republican. It is SO wrong. It panders to the worst in people.

The press needs to do the fact checking (as you have done) and publish it prominently and commentary must must demonstrate the heinousness of this kind of personal attack. And the candidates who make this kind of attack need to know what the opinion is on this.

Thanks!

To many young energized voters are coming to the polls this year. They want their voices heard. We do not need another 4 years of Bush. Obama's excutive experience:
1. in charge of his campaign; raising money from American people;

The focus of this article is NOT on McCain's preparation for the debate, it is about the fact that he is going to e "resort" which for some (obvious CNN) reason seems to be newsworthy.

Of course, CNN chooses to ignore the extreme extravagance that Obama has in every step of his campaign - like his PALATIAL, supersized, super fuel using, super emissions emitting campaign jumbo jet, complete with egotistical "Obama presidential seal". How presumptuous this elitist is, and how meaningless his behavior renders McCain's weekend visit to a "resort".

I am so sick of hearing 'MAVERICK!" James Garner was the only "Maverick" that i knew and that show was over in '62. Mel Gibson reprised the role, but JAMES GARNER was the REAL Maverick. Who does McCain think he's fooling besides Sarah Palin?
These two are buffoons. Plain and simple . . .
Here is the definition of "maverick":
A maverick is an unbranded range animal, especially a motherless calf; it can also mean a person who thinks independently; a lone dissenter; a non-conformist or rebel. The word first arose in mid-19th century America from Samuel Augustus Maverick, a Texas politician with a large ranch full of unbranded cattle.
McCain and Palin do not think independently nor are they lone dissenters, non-conformist or rebels. Hell, they are Republicans and we know they aren't know for thinking out of the box. Therefore I am going to go with the former definition because I have not seen their "brands."

John McCain is about to go negative. He really does not want to do that. Obama is the real deal. Obama has the right plans to fix the United States.

John McCain is prepared to smear and be prepared to go back to the Senate in Washington.

We got tricked the last time.

Perhaps he should learn to look at Obama when they are talking?
Or is he too elite to look at Obama?

Irene   October 4th, 2008 4:24 pm ET

McCain has to practice LOOKING SOMEONE IN THE EYE when he's talking to them!

McCain has to practice not laughing outloud when Palin's vp debate is brought up……….IT'S DOWNRIGHT SCARRY!

McSame He's lieing again, he's tired…This is his weekly Mon - Fri work schedule…Sat and Sun is his off time.

Today, Obama was in VA campaigning there and talking to peolpe about his health care proposals.

McSame has 21 former Bush administration officials & campaign advisors within his campaign including Steve Schmidt who ran Bush 2004 re-election bid, and who is now running McSames campaign.

McSame has no vision, no leadership, no future for growth for our economy, but he has TAX CUTS FOR HIS WEALTHY FRIENDS AND BILLION DOLLAR CORPORATIONS.

Do we have to go through another 4 years of economic hardship for Americans just for the few to profit?

Bush could'nt run for a third term so we get his clone in McSame who voted with Bush over 90% of the time. I don't want to see my country turned into a bananna republic with these huge budget deficits that the Republicans has rang up.

No Way -No how- No McSame /Failin!!!!!

John McCain is planning the Big Republican Mud-Fest. Palin is a LOSER and sank any chance he had of winning. Who in their right mind would vote for him now??
Many of my friends who were undecided are actually becoming Obama supporters because they are repulsed by the Republican choice for VP and the attack ads currently running in our area.

Steveorevo   October 4th, 2008 4:17 pm ET

Like the title "McCain spends weekend at resort". Expect to see alot of titles like this if he makes presidency. Why its just like George Bush with well over a year (+400 days) of his term being on vacation.

Maybe McCain will break the previously held record by George for "U.S. President on Vacation".

I really think McCain is going on full attack at the debate on Tuesday. This can go one of two ways for him. He will either be able to plant doubts in peoples minds about Obama or he will come off as desperate. Dems need to be careful not to get over confident. They must turn out to vote and not think there is no way McCain can win. As far as Palin is concerned It would be terrible if she came anywhere near the white house. Anyone who believes as Chenney does that the VP isn't part of the executive branch and tries so hard to be "folksie" also makes statements about "Todd and I" (meaning that as in Alaska Todd will help her make decisions) should not be given any sort of power.

sal   October 4th, 2008 4:11 pm ET

Obama has already won.

Obama and Biden Have won

As things unfold or come clear to all, even GOP ers will want to switch.

McCain is troubled.
Palin is doing Obama supporters a favor.

Jerry from Oregon   October 4th, 2008 4:10 pm ET

good, take some time to prepare your lies to justify you're undensible position John. For a man who once received and deserved alot of respect you surely have fallen far. Whether it's your desire to tax healthcare that our employers provide for us for the first time and instead 'give' us a $5,000 tax credit and call that progress. Or it's selecting a wholly unqualified, right-wing woman for purely political reasons. Just weeks after John McCain had said that the primary thing a VP needed to be able to do was fill in for the President at a moments notice. This woman doesn't even listen to her opponent in a debate! In Thursday's VP debate Biden went on at some length about investing in clean-coal technology; even sharing that technology with China rather than let the Chinese negate all of our environmentally friendly initiatives. Yet today, Saturday, Palin was speaking in Ohio saying that Biden did not want to do anything with clean-coal.

let's get the maverick back in the Senate by ending his presidential bid. I do believe John McCain is a good man, he's just lost himself in this campaign.

KMAN   October 4th, 2008 4:07 pm ET

Floridafish   October 4th, 2008 4:06 pm ET

Clearly nani-who called all of Obama's supporters "idiots"-is what's wrong with the Republican party these days. The fact that they just don't see the problem with calling someone name's or distorting facts(I call it lying) or trotting out people like Palin shows that their days are numbered in the coming months. While the Democrats still have to prove they are worth our vote, the Republicans have proven they are not.

Bob Long   October 4th, 2008 4:05 pm ET

Well-here it comes. what every Democrat and certainly the Obama team has been figuring would start to happen eventually.: the Republican attack machine with John McCain's attack dog Palin leading the pack, is foaming at the mouth. They're desperate because they know their sliding like an LA house in a mud slide during rainy season. What's left for them to do? Nothing else has work so let's start the fear-monger, race-baiting, and personal innuendo smears about Obama's character. We've been down this road before. They've got nothing. No doubt it will have some effect; negative ads always do. But this time they are going to be up the creek without a paddle. In the end, this time the tactic will do far more damage to McCain's own character than it ever does to Obama's.

Sue   October 4th, 2008 4:05 pm ET

I find it interesting that people are so concerned about Palin's tax returns and have not shown equal interest in the other candidate's returns. For those who prepare tax returns, we know not all documents have been disclosed to the public by other candidate. Forget about Palin's tax return, focus on the important issues. Who understand and can turn the economy around. Who is really prepared to lead this country! But most importantly, who can develop an Iraq exit strategy. Who actually understands what a military exit strategy is? This is not something you learn in Alaska, Illinois, Pennslyvania/Delaware or Arizona. You don't learn it in the Senate or being governor. So who is really qualified to lead our nation and be Commander and Chief of the US millitary?

Lifelong Republican for Obama   October 4th, 2008 4:05 pm ET

Palin is not and has never been a reformer! The whole world knows she was only selected by McCain because he thought that with her he would pursuade women everywhere to vote for him….what a stupid stunt!! She only exceeded in showing the voters that she and her alcoholic buddy "SiX PACK JOE" are equally UNQUALIFIED TO SERVE IN THE CAPITOL! Any educated women or man can clearly see that this team is anything but the SELF ENTITIED "MAVERICK'S"!!

Why didn't McCain vote "NO" to the extra pork loaded BAILOUT?? He is running his campaign promising to "VETO PORK FILLED BILLS" why didn't the so-called MAVERICK standup and "JUST SAY NO"??
.
And why if Palin is a "REFORMER" why is she and hubby refusing to obey a U.S.Court ordered subpoena?? She isn't even in office and she already thinks she's ABOVE THE LAW?? Clearly more of the same BUSH TACTICS. VOTE FOR OBAMA.. THE "REAL MAN".

Ted van Tol   October 4th, 2008 4:05 pm ET

Sarah Palin is sitting on a wave she can't control and she wonders how she got there. When the wave is rising her voice rises with it.
What a pittyfull ticket has she and McCain become.
When Palin still campaining, McCain already left and endorsed Barack Obama.
The next debate will show how far Barack is as a leader and how far
Mccain is as an old man repeating himseff constantly.
"I think Sen. Obama is not ready to lead and has not the judgement
as I do"
In the mean time Barack has proven to be a smart, presidential leader with a vision for the future and he knows the way to ger there.

America you are a blessed country when Barack makes his enterence in the White House.

With love from the Netherlands.

God bless Barack Obama, America and the entire world.

Zion   October 4th, 2008 4:02 pm ET

Lets be for real my fellow people for Obama, what is left? All he can say basically is, "Don't vote for the black guy." Think about it. Hillary used Rev. Wright so much until most people don't even blink upon hearing his name. McCain used the superstar card until he got a generic star of his own (Painful Palin — how's this working out for yah). I mean really besides focusing on race, what is left? Oh yeah, Ayers, but again, Fox News and other members of the media have used that name so many times, and the ties were so weak until, bam, nothing. Why don't they do a special on Republicans who will vote for Obama, there are plenty of us who will.

The Dumbing Down Of America, Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin!

Cuban-mami-4-OBAMA   October 4th, 2008 4:01 pm ET

Interesting comments. Our family is looking forward to the next debate. One of the reasons, we, former Republicans, are now registered Independents is due to the Republican 'attack-hate-war-fear-and-holier-than-thou' mindset. Their onslaught of negative ads, and ONLY negative ads causes us to change channels or change radio stations each time.

One insulting thing the Republicans have done, is have Spanish-speaking ads. Which is INSULTING since IT IS the Far-right (and their base) who would like nothing better than to throw every undocumented immigrant out of our Nation! Its the Republican-far-right that is ALWAYS for the "English Only Laws" …..that would deny equal access to people of all nationalities and ethnicities! The Republicans party has, in my opinion, become a bastion for prejudice, fear, anti-everything that's fair and just.

McCain does not realize that we are aware that for the last 8 years, he has been Bush's BIGGEST supporters.

Gov. Palin did fine in the debate, because she was well REHEARSED and has MEMORIZED her lines well. I do not hate her, I do not wish her ill…….. I just hope and pray that she is not our next vice president!

As Roger Cohen of the New York Times said, " there is a 1 in 6 or 7 chance that Palin will become president, given the mortality tables statistics."

THANKS BUT……..NO……..THANKS!

PAT California   October 4th, 2008 4:01 pm ET

He always did like to take weekends off. He did that every weekend until people noticed. If he's ever President, he'll break the record Bush set for time off. I didn't realize that the government is on a 5 day week schedule. I remember when I hit 72. It was all down hill at 70! He never did have a lot of energy, mentally or physically. Marrying a young woman and choosing a young woman for a running mate, isn't going to make him any younger. But at least he'll have someone to catch him when he falls!

Bill Charlotte,NC   October 4th, 2008 4:01 pm ET

He and his campaign have promised to "take the gloves off" and attack Obama. His record, war stories, make believe veep candidate and policies are a losing strategy; so now, you just go out and prove to the world who you really are… a bitter old man who will do and/or say anything to WIN.

John, the American public is not as gullible as you and your henchmen think. They are going to be concerned about issues not you tabloid mud-slinging ads.

Concern in Ohio   October 4th, 2008 4:01 pm ET

Barbara L. Giles   October 4th, 2008 3:59 pm ET

It seems that McCain is running scared and that he will stoop to any level to win the presidency. Americans know what he is doing and are not stupid. A conservative government is not working. Our economic conditions are evidence of that. The proof is in the pudding. I am a teacher, and my husband owns a small business. Still, I have found that we have to change our eating habits because of high food and gas prices. if we are hurting, I can imagine how those with mediocre jobs are faring. As I think about them, I tear up. Our economy has gone to the dogs, and McCain plans to run business as usual. I don't think so.

Well folks, this IS CNN - not fair and balanced reporting!!!! For all of you Obama supporters - hope you still support him if he gets to the White House! This man is DANGEROUS!!! If he become president of the US, Texas can become our own country and have a TRUE leader run our new country… forget Barry Hussein Obama and his antics! Tax on, young man, tax on….. you will need 57 states to collect the money you need to redistribute the wealth! Minus Texas!!!!!

Anybody else getting sick of these cry-babies from the right wing facist who always want to compare honorable journalism to FOXNEWS? Funny how every news agency that don't have their view or won't believe their lies are cast as liars. CNN allow guest to talk. CNN respects the views of everybody and every party. They don't dog one candidate while hiding information on another. So if you don't like how "Fair and Balance" really should work, then go back to your fairy-tale, "Alice and Wonderland", screaming, shouting, yelling "Girly Boys" on FoxNews and stay there. Gee wonder if he took off for Hawaii for two weeks like obama did. Oh I forgot, its ok for the messiah obama to take a break but no body else can.

Matt   October 4th, 2008 3:53 pm ET

John McCain is going to need a lot more than a "polishing" of his views to make any difference now. Perhaps he and his running mate should try something novel for the Republican party–basing an agenda on thought rather than ideology. The Republican formula of low taxes for the wealthy, enormous spending on the military, and deregulation has gotten us into the current mess. I truly can't understand why anyone who is not wealthy or, at the very least, a big shareholder in an oil company, would want to support the Republicans. The fact that the states with the best schools and college-educated people vote overwhelmingly for Democrats is no accident.

Observer   October 4th, 2008 3:53 pm ET

Sedona? Ah, the good life! Hopefully if elected he'll remember what the definition of 'public servant' means. Probably not, as most once elected tend to forget their place in life.

jim   October 4th, 2008 3:52 pm ET

I said it in 04 that by electing Bush, America will get what it deserves. And we did! If America elects McCain, I will have to again say America gets what it deserves, but there is not much left to destroy after Bush's handy work.

Lastly, It's so sad that our tax money is going to help Wall Street and institutions like Fanny Mae. Our money is helping these people, but then a 90 year old woman has to shoot herself because Fanny Mae was going to evict her. Then, after she shoots herself and gets national attention, Fanny Mae forgives her of her loan proplems. That's so nice of them. Well, I don't forgive Fanny Mae, Wall Street, or these Republicans for shooting our country in the back for the greed of the rich over the last eight years. It makes me sick and I am very close to say I am ashamed to be an American, because this is disgusting!

Obama, make me proud again! McCain you suck!!

john cornett   October 4th, 2008 3:52 pm ET

Who were the Senators that added the "Pork" to an already loaded bill which we as taxpayers are going to pay for.?We need to know their namesand what pet project they inserted with costs. Also how much "Pork"was added.Lets see if Campbell Brown or Wolf want to address the American people on this!

I dont think so…

TJ   October 4th, 2008 3:51 pm ET

If Senator McCain wants to go more negative with his ads as promised, he has to be prepared for a "Keating 5″ response. The Senate Ethics Committee found that the senator "used very bad judgement". Can the public hear how your policies are different than the current mess we are in. Tax raises didn't create it as we have had "tax cuts" the last 8 years. More of the same.

Spending my last dollar   October 4th, 2008 3:50 pm ET

I checked out the website for both Obama and McCain. They both have stores where you can shop for gear. The Obama store has so much stuff to choose from. The even have "onesies" for babies. The McCain store is lame and that's not a joke people. You can really see how well thoughtout Obama's website and store is versus McCain's store. Obama wins again.

Juan Grain   October 4th, 2008 3:50 pm ET

Can I call you John, or how about Juan? Juan do your best, it will soon be over and you can return to the senate to be the very needed loyal oposition! Yes you will be part of the team that turns this country around, but just not President. You will be needed to make continuety from your right wing conservatives to President Obama and your long time friend Vice President Biden and President of you, the senate! And as for Governer Sarah Palin, you and the establishement Republicans did a fine job of destroying her for what she did to loyal party Republicans in Alaska! If you can't beat them, then join them, then beat them!

Russ   October 4th, 2008 3:49 pm ET

Being able to see Russia from Alaska, then, means you have an understanding of foreign policy; living in an Arctic state means that you have an understanding of climate change. In Mr. McCain’s case, it means, as he wrote last month, understanding technology policy because he flew airplanes in Vietnam and being concerned about the oceans’ health because he served in the Navy
Two Ironic Morans.

I honestly have to say that I will be so glad when this election is OVER. I plan on staying home at this point because I am tired of coming on CNN to get some news and then thinking I can read some intelligent comments..What I have learned is that the only change we have recieved this year is for the worse. Many of you feel its okay to call Obama any name you like. Whats worse is the fact that Obama supporters cry when their candidate is attacked, but feel okay to call McCain names, wish for his death, and distort his record. Worse than that, they have taken their hatred for Hillary and have treated Sarah Palin with disgraceful remarks..calling her vile names and overlooking all she has accomplished. I am done. Many of us are fed up with you hypocritical supporters and bias news coverage.

What I'd love to see is Obama having a debate against a panel of Limbaugh and Hannity.. and I'll bet you he'd send them both crawling away bruised and battered.

I agree with some of the bloggers here that Palin is trying to flirt her way into the white house. She reminds me of that high school teacher who tries to use language like "cool" and "dope" to be "down" with all of us. She may not be 70 like old man MCain but she is not exactly 20 either. No wonder Tod is glued to her hip, even in her governor's office. By the way, if they win, Todd will be the one making all the decision if Palin takes over our country….she is already disagreeing with grandpa MCain and we will be stuck them for at least 4 years.

Debate prep or emergency under the radar cancerous growth removal ??? Can you read the writing on the wall? You may as well stay in Arizona with the other retirees…

I hope that he is better prepared for this debate, than Sara was for hers.
Maybe he should have sent her back to Alaska to do some moose hunting with Dick Cheney before the debate and she may have actually been able to answer some questions.

He should do fine as long as the questions will allow him to use the words, maverick, friend, reformer, liberal or democrat in his response.

He can also refer to that other "reformer and maverick" on his ticket for good measure.

Hah! This man that I respected in 2000 has revealed his true self; a politician who will sell his soul for a victory. He should be ashamed.

And now, he's going to pay; all he can do now is attack, yet if he goes negative in this Town Hall debate, he'll come off so poorly that he'll lose even more independents.

America does not buy your ideas and they certainly don't buy your lies, "Maverick." And that goes for your running mate/grand-daughter as well.

Beautiful scenery…A true common man of the people heading for one of his seven ( or is it 8? ) modest estates in one of his 15 vehicles to cram for a coming exam, like his Joe-six-pack, fellow maverick with lipstick did last week. No ELITIST digs for these two, no sir, they want to stay real close to common, everyday Americans who are suffering the effects of a souring economy.

Griff…. there is no such thing as liberal bias. That is merely what Republicans do when they are running behind. They scream LIBERAL BIAS, it's not us! It's that liberal bias, they don't want us to win otherwise they would not cover the Democrats AT ALL!

Don't you think it's awfully wasteful to go to a resort in a town where you have several homes? Hmmm, sure don't sound like normal average everyday Americans to me…… McCain don't know sh** about your avg. American, and Palin just don't know sh** period….

nani:
First, you have to trust your fellow citizens. America will never become China in 1960s. You know why China was like that during the culture revolution? Because of fear, the direct result of closing doors to the world, solo control of the media. The government told people that what they have is the best in the world, and all other people are suffering but them; they should put country first, put people first … But when you THINK that you put country first before yourself, most of the time, you may put yourself into some politicians’ hands. That’s what happened in China. I know this because I came from China.
Second, I don't believe that Obama will give us everything he proposed in a day.
But I agree on his vision. If you can't even visualize the future, how can you get there?
Third, I like how he runs his campaign. It is almost two years now. If he can run a solid campaign, I have no doubt how he will run a country.
Last but not least, his campaign is fund by American people. He doesn’t have any baggage after he wins the election but work hard for the American people.

I just read this on a Senior Citizen site, seniorark.com. It is to the point, and there is more like it at that site.

Sarah Palin believes that the entire universe was created about 4400 B.C., and that God put the dinosaur bones, and all of the other fossils underground—for some strange reason, to make it look older. She believes that the 100,000 true Christians in the world will migrate to Alaska and be raised into the sky just before God punishes everyone else. It's called the rapture. The light we see coming from distant stars cannot really have originated there, since science tells us that light travels at a speed that it would have taken billions of years for it to arrive here. Do you know that she "speaks in tongues", a kind of unintelligible gibberish, through which God reveals truth, action, and his will? She wants the fundamentalist, King James version of creation to be taught in the public schools as a step-by-step factual account of how it all happened. She supports laws that not only criminalize all termination of pregnancy, no matter how that pregnancy occurred, or how young the pregnant child is, for any reason. And she would support forbidding any instruction on any type of birth control. That sure worked well in her family. And there is evidence that she believes witchcraft can inhabit a human, and needs to be hunted down, and cast out by
