I finally understood today exactly what Obama means when he says McCain doesn't get it. How can a person who admits to having 13 cars and probably has more, and admits to having 7 houses, but probably has more of those also, understand me who can only afford to rent? I can't afford to buy even one house. How many houses has he bought for his children?

He has nothing in common with me and many other Americans. Obama says he thinks he does care though. But the fact that he would not even look at Obama at the debate tells me that he doesn't even care either. It was an insulting, racist thing for McCain to do and it is one of the reasons I can't vote for him.

Under McCain's health plan there is no guarantee that a person would be able to get health coverage if they have a pre-exisiting condition or a disability. Even those with insurance have claims too easily denied. This renders the tax credit absolutely moot. There are no safeguards in McCain's plan to protect Americans. I work with children with disabilities and it is awful trying to get them the care and services they need. It's a constant battle with insurance companies.

Never mind that most families can easily spend over $5000 a year on premiums.

Employers continue to get a deduction...employees must have the cost reported as income(this is a new tax) His proposed $5000 tax credit will not offset the taxable income of $20,000 per family in California. Insurace cost will rise and the consumer will continue to be the ones that have to pay for it!!! I thought McCain wanted to reduce taxes!!!

I would like to know how McCain feels he can help people get insurance by giving a 2500 for single, 5000 for family to purchase insurance. He doesn't say how he proposes to get insurance companies to lower insurance premiums, not to mention many who will not qualify for insurance due to pre-existing conditions. Back to the drawing board McCain. You don't live in the real world. Being a millionaire, you couldn't begin to understand the problem the average citizen faces. You talk a good talk on your campaign stumps, then head off to one of your 8 homes, possibly in one of your 13 vehicles to practice your debate. You have never struggled to make ends meet in your life, so all of your words are just hot air adding to global warming!
