Palin disagrees with McCain's Michigan decision

Palin wants to keep trying in Michigan.

(CNN) – The McCain campaign decided this week that the battleground state of Michigan may be out of reach for the Republican ticket this year - a move that's drawn criticism from one prominent dissenter: VP nominee Sarah Palin.

Earlier: McCain cedes Michigan to Obama

In an interview with Fox News Friday the Republican vice presidential candidate appeared to be disappointed with the decision and said she still wants to take a stab at winning the state that hasn't voted for a Republican presidential candidate in two decades.

She also said she made her disagreement known to top campaign officials:

"I fired a quick e-mail and said, 'oh, come on! Do we have to call it there?' she said. " Todd and I would [be] happy to get to Michigan and walk through those plants [with] car manufacturers.

"We'd be so happy to get to speak with the people there in Michigan, who are hurting because the economy is hurting," she added. "Whatever we can do and whatever Todd and I can do in realizing what their challenges in that state are, as we can relate to them and connect with them and promise them that we won't let them down in the administration."

McCain aides told CNN Thursday Michigan increasingly appeared a long shot the Arizona senator and the campaign had decided to divert its resources there to other key battleground states. The latest CNN poll of polls in Michigan shows Obama with an 8 point lead in the state where the nation's economic woes have hit hard.

But Palin maintained Friday she and McCain still have a shot there.

"I want to get back to Michigan, and I want to try," she said.

I hear many peole complain about the polls not being accurate. We'll, if Obama is ahead by only 8 points, why call it quits.

"whatever Todd and I can do in realizing what their challenges in that state are"....you mean she doesn't know what the challenges are? Lord, they're the same as in every state. The economy, Ma Clampet; the same as in every other state for the people in this country. That's the problem with their campaign. They just don't get it!

Why bother? what does she think she would do any different than John McSame? The republican ticket is now a laughing stock. Go DEMS ...its time to crush them. We need 370/150 electoral count after the election. Voters need to show Washington that the people representing us there are not safe either. God Bless Us All!!!!

  7. Think About Our Soldiers

I was just thinking about Barack shooting basketball with the soldiers. It really warmed my heart, and I hope he'll get a chance to visit them more, because they were elated.

Talk about an A list of stars he could get to go and visit the soldiers. Wouldn't that be wonderful if stars could line up to visit the troops for Christmas.

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse. It does. You have to question the extreme ego or stupidity of anyone who would say that she didn't blink when McCain asked her to be his running mate. Either she doesn't understand, has an extreme ego, or doesn't have a clue about the importance of the VP on this particular ticket – or could it be all three? In any case, she is extremely scary.

MCcain/Palin are behind in most of the polls, people are realizing their not a team of maverick's, their a team of more of the same. you will never hear O'bama/Biden giving up in any state and for them to be giving on a state shows me they will give up a lot more if elected. You don't quit a baseball in the 7th inning if your losing do you. but go ahead O'bama will gladly take michigain.

Sarah "The Maverick" Palin is stuch a Maverick that she is willing to take on her Maverick running mate – John "The Maverick of the Senate" McCain. They are two mavericks who will be a pair of mavericks as Prez and Veep.
