Palin disagrees with McCain's Michigan decision

Palin wants to keep trying in Michigan.
Palin wants to keep trying in Michigan.

(CNN) – The McCain campaign decided this week that the battleground state of Michigan may be out of reach for the Republican ticket this year - a move that's drawn criticism from one prominent dissenter: VP nominee Sarah Palin.

Earlier: McCain cedes Michigan to Obama

In an interview with Fox News Friday the Republican vice presidential candidate appeared to be disappointed with the decision and said she still wants to take a stab at winning the state that hasn't voted for a Republican presidential candidate in two decades.

She also said she made her disagreement known to top campaign officials:

"I fired a quick e-mail and said, 'oh, come on! Do we have to call it there?' she said. " Todd and I would [be] happy to get to Michigan and walk through those plants [with] car manufacturers.

"We'd be so happy to get to speak with the people there in Michigan, who are hurting because the economy is hurting," she added. "Whatever we can do and whatever Todd and I can do in realizing what their challenges in that state are, as we can relate to them and connect with them and promise them that we won't let them down in the administration."

Earlier: Palin calls Obama comment 'reckless,' criticizes Couric

McCain aides told CNN Thursday Michigan increasingly appeared a long shot the Arizona senator and the campaign had decided to divert its resources there to other key battleground states. The latest CNN poll of polls in Michigan shows Obama with an 8 point lead in the state where the nation's economic woes have hit hard.

But Palin maintained Friday she and McCain still have a shot there.

"I want to get back to Michigan, and I want to try," she said.

Palin better save her energy for the upcoming Troopergate Probe report, due out Oct 10, said to contain an "October Surprise" for Gov. Palin and the whole Republican Swift Boat campaign. The court upheld the subpeonas issued by the probe's chief investigator so Palin's lunkhead husband will have to testify under oath.

    Bye-Bye McCain. Send a postcard.

Who does Pain think she is, Mccain's chief campainge advisor. William F. Buckley would be probaly turning in grave right now. Some republicans are saying that Palin might run for president in 2012. If this happens, the republicans are that hard up. Well anyway I can't wait to see this one.

Send her back to Siberia courtesy of the Bridge to Nowhere! At any rate, McCain is finished barring sheer Republican hijacking of the Electoral College. Oh Wait! They did that twice with George Bush. Little do we Obama Supporters know that all the Diebold voting machines will simply route all votes for Obama to McCain. At any rate, here's hoping we North Carolinans with convert this red state blue. Without Michigan, McCain doesn't have a path to his much beloved Victory, I guess he'll go back to one of his seven houses in defeat. I just lost my job today in fact, so I'll be voting for Obama.

The problem that Sarah Palin suffers from now is a false sense of accomplishment coming off the debate with Joe Biden. Republicans have been patting her on the back congratulating her on a "great" performance. What's worse...she believes them. So, now she feels empowered. Hasn't the auto industry in Michigan suffered enough?

What she's not smart enough to understand is that she simply can't answer important questions on her own...and that's going to be her downfall in the next four weeks. Mark my word...she'll make plenty of gaffes that could hurt McCain's credibility. She only dodged a few bullets from a less-than-engaged Gwen Ifill, but once she gets asked followup questions like the ones Katie Couric asked, she's going to stumble...and badly.

Granted, she enunciated each word more clearly than she did with Charlie Gibson or Katie Couric, but when it comes to providing answers not on the cheat-sheet, she comes off looking like the village idiot.

America...do you really want this hockey mom representing the US with world leaders in the event that something should happen to McCain while in office. Think about that...its pretty chilling. Can you imagine her dealing with a Cuban missile crisis, or God forbid, the threat of Pakistan or North Korea threatening a nuclear attack on an ally?

McCain better get a food taster-she wants to be President as evidenced by her wanting increased power if she's VP and history of narcing on her bosses and takes their jobs-like she did in her state. Remember her Freudian slip awhile back "in a Palin/ McCain" administration? President Palin-Lord help us.

I'm sure that the majority of Americans will latch on to one sentence and love her for it:

"We'd be so happy to get to speak with the people there in Michigan, who are hurting because the economy is hurting,"

    This woman is insane.

    Let's face it....

    Politics is perception.

You don't tell the electorate that your pulling out of Michigan wiht three weeks to gi before the election.

You pull out and and act like you didn't.

Generalissimo McCain should know about that.

    It's call a strategic withdrawal.

    Are you ready for this?

    Palin is right.

Stop sippin the hater-ade on Palin and McCain, yes they dont want to fight in a state that has been primarily democratic for many years but I understand. It isnt as much of a battle ground state if it hasnt voted REP. in 20 yrs. As far as the whole "Todd and I" thing. Who is watching the kids. What office is Todd running for because he isnt important, he is merely a footnote in the history of this presidential race.

So ... I guess Palin fired that quick e-mail off to campaign officials from her Yahoo e-mail account. What a complete joke she is! An extremist, winking, folksy pitbull in lipstick with a horrific voice is the last thing I want in executive office. Dog-gone-it, Sarah .... I think I hear your igloo calling. Go back to Alaaaaaaaska. Gosh darn .... you betcha it would make me happy!

I watched the debate last night and I was just waiting to hear governor Palin say "Live From New York It's Saturday Night".

The governor gave Tina Fey enough material for life time.

You're hearing it here first. Tina Feys best will be this Saturday.

P.S. GOP spin doctors you are not fooling anybody. If you really are confident in the governors ability to speak to the media, why don't you you have her do an interview with Anderson Cooper, Wolfe, Campbell Brown or Lou Dobbs. Instead you grant interviews to Fox news. CNN is the only credible network in opinion.

Sarah Palin took a huge crap in front of a national audience last night.
The media wants to call it flowers to forstall a ratings dive due to the coming landslide.

Watch this debate again. She is completely ignorant. Not dumb. Completely ignorant. This is very dangerous in a leader.

    And one more thing....

Sarah Palin says she's just an average Joe Six-pack like the rest of us. WRONG...she lives in a $500,000 dollar house on a lake right in the middle of town, with her husbands private plane tied to their dock. A recent Anchorage Daily Times article said her net worth was over a million dollars. That is NOT like the average Joe six-pack, if you ask me.

    Palin debate prep:

Advisor: Ok Palin, we will ask you to memorize these 20 answers. Then, during the debate, pick which of these 20 answers matches the question the best. OK?

Palin "What if none of the answers fit the question?

Advisor: No problem, pick the closest one and run with it. Most of America will just be happy you answered the question with one of my answers.....I mean your answers ....wink wink!!
