Palin disagrees with McCain's Michigan decision

Palin wants to keep trying in Michigan.
Palin wants to keep trying in Michigan.

(CNN) – The McCain campaign decided this week that the battleground state of Michigan may be out of reach for the Republican ticket this year - a move that's drawn criticism from one prominent dissenter: VP nominee Sarah Palin.

Earlier: McCain cedes Michigan to Obama

In an interview with Fox News Friday the Republican vice presidential candidate appeared to be disappointed with the decision and said she still wants to take a stab at winning the state that hasn't voted for a Republican presidential candidate in two decades.

She also said she made her disagreement known to top campaign officials:

"I fired a quick e-mail and said, 'oh, come on! Do we have to call it there?' she said. " Todd and I would [be] happy to get to Michigan and walk through those plants [with] car manufacturers.

"We'd be so happy to get to speak with the people there in Michigan, who are hurting because the economy is hurting," she added. "Whatever we can do and whatever Todd and I can do in realizing what their challenges in that state are, as we can relate to them and connect with them and promise them that we won't let them down in the administration."

McCain aides told CNN Thursday Michigan increasingly appeared a long shot the Arizona senator and the campaign had decided to divert its resources there to other key battleground states. The latest CNN poll of polls in Michigan shows Obama with an 8 point lead in the state where the nation's economic woes have hit hard.

But Palin maintained Friday she and McCain still have a shot there.

"I want to get back to Michigan, and I want to try," she said.

Ok, see how dangerous she is. She has one night where she manages to look like something more than a high school dropout and she personally thinks that she could run the campaign better then the professionals. What would she do in international negotiations?

As far as I'm concerned McCain and Palin can drop out of the election. Those 2 are not what this country needs – and especially Palin. Her winks and smiles remind me of someone competing in a pageant, and her folksy charm is laughable.
I love this country too much to hand it over to her and McCain, and she keeps proving over and over that she just ins't smart enough to be in a high political office.
McCin has steadily gone down the tubes, I trust nothing he says, and his choice of Palin further solidifies my opinion of him.
They need to just go home.

I watched the thursday night debate, and all I could think of was SNL!
Sarah Palin is a bigger joke than George Bush! If you think I would cast my vote for a vice president who sends "Shout Outs" during an electoral debate, think again! Place the security of my family and myself in the hands of a "joe six pack" vice president? I SAY NO WAY! Send Sarah six pack back to Alaska!!!!!

What does that even mean? Can this "great communicator" please speak in coherent sentences? Couldn't they send her to finishing school for a few weeks prior to announcing her as vp nominee?

OOPS she DID it again!!! please cut her loose! lol
she DISGREES with him on a LOT of things!!!
*She said she will change his little mind about drilling in Anwar.
*He VOTES to fund Pro choice groups.
*He is okay with people using birth control.
*He is okay with sex education.
*He believes polar bears are endangered.
*He would not shoot wolves from planes.
*He got his maverick reputation opposing Bush on Climate Control and gun legislation. SHE is right on with Bush on those issues.
*He is okay with abortion in rape and incest cases.
*She supports Obama's position on going after Bin Laden wherever; he only will hunt him at the 'gates of hell' NOT Pakistan!
    * He does NOT believe in witches and witch hunting. (Google Palin witch hunting!! sheesh)
** Then there is her husband whose only political party, ever, states 'hate the American flag'.
There are LOTS of things she has to 'change his mind about.

Michigan is NOT A FAN, Mommy Dearest! Take your folksy nonsense elsewhere and stop smiling and winking at the camera like a fool.

The job of vice president is serious ... your goofy behavior – the winks, the should-outs and your overall lack of substance – is an insult to our country.

"I fired a quick e-mail and said, 'oh, come on! Do we have to call it there?' she said. " Todd and I would [be] happy to get to Michigan and walk through those plants [with] car manufacturers.

We thought Bill Clinton was a problem for Hillary. Todd isn't running for office, but since he has enjoyed luxury vacations on the Alaskans TAX dollars (PORK), and continue to do so on OUR TAX dollars, while he dodges the abuse case in Alaska, they both will act like they are in separate and twins joined at the hip. So if she say his name more then THREE times when making her repeated scripted speeches, this is to make us think Todd is that valuable for the campaign of McCains……...hahahaha......TWO jokers at WORK to fool the American, as she put it......"soccer mom's and the six packs"!!!

The Presidential nominee runs the campaign, the last I looked. From hearing some of Rush today, sounds like the conservatives have all but conceded the election and are blaming McCain.

Looks like they want to position Palin to be their candidate in 2012

Just because her husband was an ex snowmobile champion and she sounds like she's straight outta that movie Fargo don't mean northerners will care. If this woman is so airheaded to not realize that an 8 point lead this close to voting while so many other states need attention means you move on, then she's too dumb to be near the presidency. Another Rookie Palin call for the score card.
