Palin hits Obama for 'terrorist' connection

In remarks Saturday, Gov. Palin sought to link Sen. Obama with 1970's radical William Ayers, according to a statement released by the McCain-Palin campaign.

ENGLEWOOD, Colorado (CNN) - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Saturday slammed Sen. Barack Obama's political relationship with a former anti-war radical, accusing him of associating "with terrorists who targeted their own country."

Palin's attack delivered on the McCain campaign's announcement that it would step up attacks on the Democratic presidential candidate with just a month left before the November general election.

"We see America as the greatest force for good in this world," Palin said at a fund-raising event in Colorado, adding, "Our opponent though, is someone who sees America it seems as being so imperfect that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country."

Palin made similar comments later at a rally in Carson, California.

Obama's Chicago home is in the same neighborhood as Bill Ayers, a founder of the radical Weather Underground that was involved in several bombings in the early 1970s, including the Pentagon and the Capitol, and the two have met several times since Obama's 1995 campaign for an Illinois state senate seat.

Ok, McCain and Palin start to sound very desperate. I was respecting McCain before he chose Palin. If he starts campaigning about "Obama's terrorist connections"... I just can despise him. There is no honor, no respect, only dirty tricks. I'm tired for dirty politics. McCain proves there is no difference between him and Bush. I feel stupid I thought he would be different.

This is not a way for a maverick to work. He is just a dirty old man triying desperately to win. This makes America look really bad!

Palin is a deranged lunatic that can't construct a decent sentence nor provide coherent answer to anything of national importance to America. It saddens me to realize how low American has sunk in selecting her as a VP candidate. God Bless & Save America.

Well it's not surprising how low the McCain campaign would go to win this election. Let' see what they come up with tomorrow. The nation no longer cares about the economy, health care, and that silly war in Iraq. I want to hear about how Obama linked up with someone (who's charges we're dropped) that allegedly committed crimes when he was eight years old. Really? Is that the best you can do?

This is the beginning of the McCain-Palin descent into lowlife, scumbag tactics that will not alter the thinking of the American People. Anyone listening to the barely literate Palin, and spineless and trifling McCain should be counted among the most intellectually depraved persons on the planet. Neither McCain or Palin have a slate so clean that they can condemn anyone's past (and in this case innocuous) affiliations.

When you can't win on issues you have to try and make the other person look bad with lies. Obama was eight yrs old when that happened. I wonder if sarah would talk about troopergate since that is what is on the table now. I guess she didn't hear that question.
