Palin hits Obama for 'terrorist' connection

In remarks Saturday, Gov. Palin sought to link Sen. Obama with 1970's radical William Ayers, according to a statement released by the McCain-Palin campaign.
In remarks Saturday, Gov. Palin sought to link Sen. Obama with 1970's radical William Ayers, according to a statement released by the McCain-Palin campaign.

ENGLEWOOD, Colorado (CNN) - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Saturday slammed Sen. Barack Obama's political relationship with a former anti-war radical, accusing him of associating "with terrorists who targeted their own country."

Palin's attack delivered on the McCain campaign's announcement that it would step up attacks on the Democratic presidential candidate with just a month left before the November general election.

"We see America as the greatest force for good in this world," Palin said at a fund-raising event in Colorado, adding, "Our opponent though, is someone who sees America it seems as being so imperfect that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country."

Palin made similar comments later at a rally in Carson, California.

Obama's Chicago home is in the same neighborhood as Bill Ayers, a founder of the radical Weather Underground that was involved in several bombings in the early 1970s, including the Pentagon and the Capitol, and the two have met several times since Obama's 1995 campaign for an Illinois state senate seat.

Oh ok. So Sarah Palin is the 'new face', and 'new ideas' (as she described herself) of hurling the kitchen sink and swift boating tactics! Honestly she should be using this much needed time (since time is not on their side at the moment) to address serious issues that affect American people. Before I forget, she claimed in the debate that Biden was looking backwards; now that she is the candidate of 'change' and 'future', let her talk straight to the people. America is facing tough times to start engaging in dirty politics and besides, this Ayers story came up during primaries and Barack has already denounced the man.

Palin should tread cautiously otherwise her favorability rating will continue to plumet!

McCain/Palin are getting desperate and will sink to the lowest level just to win. Shame on them!

Can Sarah Palin just please SHUT UP! I don't know about you but I don't want a "Joe six pack" anywhere near the presidency. I would actually prefer someone who is well educated, intelligent , has a vision, inspires people and yes, qualified. Palin has none of these qualities.

Here it comes the lowest common denominator, the scum sucking lies and deceptions that attempt to make the Democratic candidate out to be something they are not and most of all to make them out to be unpatriotic.

GOD help us to be more sane and smart this time around.

John McCain is running the filthiest campaign in modern American history. But he doesn't have the courage to do the dirtiest work himself.

He has to hide behind a skirt.

    Can anyone say "COWARD"?

So predicitable; the inducing of fear into the voters in the 2004 election worked for Bush. Guess McCain and Palin think it'll work for them too. (*yaaaaawwwwn)

The rest of the world has faith in Americans not falling for these disgraceful tactics. We obviuosly have more faith in you than the Republican party has. Republicans are trying to make their own people look like simpletons and idiots. If the United States can restore their standing in the world and start REALLY leading, the world will follow.

So sad that in a time of unspeakable economic uncertainty, the McCain camp has to resort to kitchen sink politics to reverse the trajectory of their falling poll numbers.

What we want to hear is what the "quinessential deregulator" will do with Wall Street. Why he supports a war that costs 10 billion a month when the country benefitting from it has a 70 billion surplus. Why he still firmly stands by an economic policy that has seen the biggest surplus in history deriorate to the biggest deficit. And while not as important, why does Sarah Palin refuse to be interviewed by anyone other than the Republican spin machine (aka FoxNews).

You have lost me for good McCain. I once had so much respect for you. I would have never imagined that you would resort to these tactics in the final stretch. The "Maverick" John McCain needs to keep his campaign managers in check. It's too late to fire them and they are costing him the election.

I have to add that as a professed Christian, Sarah Palin is on the edge. Please note the humility with which Obama has run his campaign. Here are some scriptures from Proverbs 6 that Palin should read:

12 A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth.

    13 He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers;

14 Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.

15 Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.

16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

More crap from McAncient's Double Talk Express. No explanation of his policies, goals, plans from his campaign. Just slander and lies. I guess he has nothing of substance to say. Nothing of substance to offer. It's just so sad. We already know the Clueless One (Palin) has, like, nothing to offer. Geez! Golly! Gosh! *Wink*

Intelligent minds talk about issues, unintelligent minds talk about people! Palin has just proved what kind of mind she has.

Do Republicans really want this kind of person that may succeed to the Presidency, especially when so many unfortunate issues are facing America? She can't even articulate McSame's policies, she can only lie/mislead her following sheepish herd.

I say Sarah Palin should go back to Alaska, she is the most dangerous person on either ticket. I'm just surprised that McCain hasn't started a war just to win. Wait he still has time, maybe Bush can call Bin Laden and have him send out a terrorist message like he did in the last election.
