Palin hits Obama for 'terrorist' connection

In remarks Saturday, Gov. Palin sought to link Sen. Obama with 1970's radical William Ayers, according to a statement released by the McCain-Palin campaign.

ENGLEWOOD, Colorado (CNN) - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Saturday slammed Sen. Barack Obama's political relationship with a former anti-war radical, accusing him of associating "with terrorists who targeted their own country."

Palin's attack delivered on the McCain campaign's announcement that it would step up attacks on the Democratic presidential candidate with just a month left before the November general election.

"We see America as the greatest force for good in this world," Palin said at a fund-raising event in Colorado, adding, "Our opponent though, is someone who sees America it seems as being so imperfect that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country."

Palin made similar comments later at a rally in Carson, California.

Obama's Chicago home is in the same neighborhood as Bill Ayers, a founder of the radical Weather Underground that was involved in several bombings in the early 1970s, including the Pentagon and the Capitol, and the two have met several times since Obama's 1995 campaign for an Illinois state senate seat.

Sarah Palin keeps boasting to voters that she is a maverick, that she took on Big Oil in Alaska and stood up for what is right and that she will bring the change she brought in Alaska to the white house. From what I have seen about Sarah Palin in Alaska, she is all about continuing corruption and abuse of power in politics.

Sarah and Todd Palin have already shown their contempt for the rule of law by ignoring subpoenas. Sarah Palin as Governor has even been using a private e-mail account to shield government business from public scrutiny. We have all seen this pattern of behavior under President Bush and this will most certainly continue into the white house if McCain Palin are elected.

This is truly pathetic, to see before our eyes the gradual decay of John McCain into a caricature. What a sad way to end what had been a good political career.

All I ever hear from her are jokes and insulting things aimed at Obama and Biden. She should concentrate on the scripts she's given to recite . Her comment about Obama and Mr. Ayers is old hat and not true. Obama/Biden are talking about the problems and solutions that effect this messed up country. My mama always told me not to point fingers cause your thumb is pointing back at you. Shame on you Palin, especially when you're supposed to be so religious.

The American people need to know of obama's radical and terrorist connections, let the chips fall where they may. If he has nothin to hide why worry. But it is going to be brought out.

I think that this is a misscalcuation on the part of the McCain campaign. This sort of thing has been exhausted and the ignorent people who buy into stuff like this are a small and preconvinced minority. The manner in which the McCain campaign has been run and the people McCain has chosen to surround himself with are enough to send the majority of 'undecided independants' to the Obama ticket.

Everyone who has half a brain already know that this kind of nasty tactic of McCain-Palin is a FALSEHOOD and has been debunked many times. But I guess if one has an evil heart, if one is unqualified to be VP and president, and whose campaign is in the toilet; then I guess it's the only thing one can try to dig up.

This evil and unqualified ticket – McCain-Palin – is a disgrace and definitely the America people deserves better!

This attack by Palin is despicable. However, this tactic got George Bush elected and has resulted in the worst presidency and the worst economy in a very long time. If America wants a repeat, Palin and Vinegar Daddy John are your candidates.

How dare she?! What a negative, negative woman. Why doesn't she focus on what she wants to do for the American people instead of trying to tear someone else down.

Of cource once she realized that her debate staged performance has not worked in changing the polls, the only strategy remaining is tearing down Barack Obama's Character. No thoughts on any reasonable policy to attract voters.Pathetic . Obama/Biden 08!!!!

Desperate times call for desperate measures. But please Gov. Palin, you are in violation of the Word of God when you slander people. Also, I would like to remind you that we have all forgiven your daughter her violation against God. Or wait, does God forgive Republicans their sins and not Democrats or even anyone who more than thirty years ago committed a wrong and has since repented by his actions.

She's sick. I've met with Barack Obama. He is a good man who loves his family and America. Palin is worse than a joke, and anyone who believes she is qualified as VP is simply wrong. Folksy? Attacks like these aren't folksy. They are divisive and ignorant.

Boy, now this is desperation at it's best, Is ok to step up your attacks, but with LIES this is truely sad. Oh and who would take a canidate serious that send SHOUT OUTS like she was at a night club, not in a debate, call it folksy call it what ever I just call it a person who does not have a clue. I guess that picking a woman to to get the Hillary Clinton voters didn't work out for you huh, John. Maybe if you had picked a true knowledgeble, experienced woman instead of a Hockey MOM, maybe you would not be falling furthur and furtur behind in the polls. Hey John guess what Americans are not stupid.

    They are evil!

They know they will not win, so they are playing dirty!

Isn't it funny, they so religious yet these tactics they use are more inline with evil then good,

I guess they will be asking for a lot of forgiveness when all this is done! Probably in tongues too.

My favorite part about Pitpulls is that many only lash out when provoked. This latest attempt at lies is hilarious.

    Some facts:

While the Bridge To Nowhere was never built, Palin took the money from American tax payers anyways, making her state responsible for more earmark money per person than any other state in the USA.

Palin's Inauguration as the governor of Alaska was sponsored by BP the oil company.

Palin fired a statetrooper who she didn't want on the force because he divorced her sister.

Palin tried to ban books and when the librarian refused she fired her, the librarian was later hired under pressure from other political figures and local government.

Palin's husband works for Big Oil as a Field Operator for BP

Palin thinks that even woman who are raped should not be allowed to have abortions.

Palin constantly says that god is telling her what to do and that god hates the ideas of other people if they disagree with her

    Just some food for thought

    Obama/Biden 2008

This woman aggravates me more than any other politician. She is incredibly cocky and yet she is incredibly unqualified. Her folksy persona is so disingenuous, anyone who falls for it is a total moron.

It's the same old thing with the McPalin ticket......they are down in the polls dues to incompetence and lack of leadership skills....so here they go again putting out negative adds.
We are SO OVER this crap.....where are their solutions to solve this countries problems.....financial, corruption, end the war, jobs, better wages, equal wages for women etc etc!!!!!!
Just what does John McCain offer.....nothing, same old talking points....I suspended my campaign, I can fix it, I can win wars, I know how to do it and the list goes on!!!!!
When you have no plans of your own all you have left is negativity.....and boy does he thrive on that.....MR CLEAN CAMPAIGN, MR COUNTRY FIRST, MR REFORMER.......all nice slogans John McCain likes to give himself and not ONE of them true.
I don't know how he has the nerve to think of himself as honorable, because he is far from that......time for John McMaverick and Sarah ....I'll get back to ya" Palin to just go home!!!!!
Elvis left the building years ago and it's now time for the both of them to follow suit!!!

Two wars a faltering economy and this is what McCain/Palin want to talk about with voters. Really?

Lets talk about Pailin's husband who was a member of a group that wants Alaska to seceed from the United States. And if her husband has these beliefs then what will Pailin do in the Whitehouse. And no she wasn't 8 when they got married. And no they have more then a flimsey I've been in his house once and on a board with the person relationship.

Palin is simply pathetic. She does not have substance and has gone to the extreme. Surprising to see that many in GOP could not see the emptiness in her talk.
